***a gelap hotel mempunyai ciri tersendiri, tetapi saya tidak dapat melihat kod bagasi apabila bagasi terlalu gelap. Akhirnya, saya meminta pelayan untuk mengambil lampu lantai untuk melihat dengan jelas. Masalah terbesar ialah ia terlalu gelap dan tiada cahaya matahari di dalam bilik pada siang hari. I had an incredible time for my birthday at the drama hotel. The staff friendly the rooms were superb and the atmosphere of the entire place was electric. if you are looking to spend within this price range and stay at somewhere very special this is a definite first choice for you!

What an amazing little gem this place is. It’s tucked away behind the McKinnon and is truly unique in many ways. I’ve touches are the Marshall Bluetooth speaker in the room, daily fruit in your room and never ending chocolates on the front desk. Having a balcony in the middle of the city filled with herb plants is the best!

Overall good but I found the room a bit dark.

Very convenient location, quiet environment. The hotel is still in quite good condition, service and staff in general are kind and professional. Becoming a bit pricy for its hotel category, but still worth it.

Other reviewers have written that this is an “opera” inspired hotel but anyone with a background in Shakespeare will see through that. Each room is named with a word from a verse of a Shakespeare play instead of numbered. Rooms have Chinese editions of Shakespeare’s plays and a sort of “newsletter” explaining the connection between the Bard and the hotel. The bar has A Hamlet quote depicted in fluorescent lights. Michael Fassbender’s “Macbeth” plays on a big screen in the lobby. It’s clear someone here really likes Shakespeare. As to the hotel itself, it is recessed from the street making it somewhat hard for taxi drivers to find but ensures a quiet nights sleep in a lively part of the city. You’re a short walking distance to places like Tock’s and Taco Bell and just a little further distance for the Starbucks Roastery. This is an even better location if you need to visit the US Consular Office for passport related issues and the like as it’s only a few minutes walk away in the Isetan building. Leave your bag and computer here to minimize the security rigamarole of the visit there. Only negative potentially is that my room was pretty dim even with lights on, but that was a minor point, at least to me. Probably not an ideal location if you’re a first time Shanghai tourist looking to spend most of your time strolling the Bund and darting back and forth to Pudong— about a 20 minute taxi ride away. But if you’ve done the Bund and you’re in Shanghai for other reasons, great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

Amazing stay, really friendly staff. the breakfast is a must-have. Lots of fresh vegetables and high-quality fruits. I would stay here again

Breakfast is good and the location is also perfect. I didn’t get the concept of the hotel and I think it is a bit overpriced.

Clean and unique room.

Stayed at this boutique hotel during lockdown in Shanghai, the staff are very friendly helpful and try their best to help where possible at these difficult times. Love the breakfast selection especially during the shortage of food currently in the City. Would love to stay again when Shanghai returns to normal again 上海加油

This is thee cutest hotel ever!! I loved their attention to detail and all the cute drama things all around the hotel!!! The room was beautiful and I really enjoyed my stay!! I will definitely be back!

What amazing service at this unique and beautiful escape . Danny and Yuna were ready to assist any questions and friendly throughout our stay . We will be returning soon for some more quiet time .

The young boy by the reception was very helpful and accommodating. Helped me with getting ice, giving me juice to drink after a long day of walking in hot temperatures and helping with ordering take out, etc. It all felt very personalized and very welcoming. Thank you for paying attention to even the smallest little details. Definitely would recommended 👌.
