Avoid Room No. 103 at all costs. The persistent stench of urine and on top the smell of tobacco smoke is overwhelming. The window goes into the hallway. The staff is friendly and professional, they use the usual translation app. The bed is very comfortable. The China Unicom Wifi vua Smartphone, which connects just outside the building with full power is almost unable in Room No. 103. The bathroom, well have a look at the attached pictures. The best is the location.

Staff is very friendly, room is clean and at an accessible location. Walking distance to the Bund and metro station.

Extremely dirty. It’s really uncomfortable to touch anything in the bathroom, including the taps, shower walls and the toilet. The room floor and skirting boards are filthy./ 特别特别脏，比方说水龙头，淋浴及墙，厕所及周边，都极其脏。房间的地面和墙裙脏的离谱。实在忍受不了了，提前两天退房！

Good location near metro station

I was passing through Shanghai on my way to Wuxi and chose a 7 Days Inn near Lujiazui online. The hotel had a good location, not far from the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. The staff were very friendly, but the hotel room was just so-so. The room was small and the facilities were old. 7 Days Inn should really renovate.

Overall, the location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from the metro, but the room was in terrible condition. I was fooled by the reviews and the good rating. At first, they gave me a room without a window. As soon as I walked in, I smelled a lingering, stale smell of cigarettes and something else (mold?). I started getting a headache, and the room was in terrible condition, as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while or hadn't been lived in. The first four photos are from that room. While in the room, I didn't want to shower and had a constant headache. I asked to change rooms, and they didn't change them until the next day at lunchtime. Luckily, the staff was friendly. They gave me a choice of two rooms without windows. I chose one of them, and there was no smell in the room, it was more or less clean, but still average. There were renovations going on in the hallway nearby. I didn't take photos of the second room because overall, it was tolerable. In the end, I will never stay at this particular hotel chain again. But the location is simply superb: close to the beach and the metro. And the staff is friendly. If you're not fussy about cleanliness, it's worth a stay.
