We booked this place for the stunning view of the gorge, and it was every bit as breathtaking as the pictures promised. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the outstanding hospitality. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and went above and beyond to help us arrange transportation, connect with a local guide, and even accommodate special meal requests outside the menu. The thoughtful touches, like the shoe dryer, made hiking during the rainy season much more comfortable. Our room was clean, spacious, and the bed very comfortable—we slept so well. This trip was easier, more enjoyable, and more memorable because of their care. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

It was a wonderful stay at tiger roar. The hospitality of the people were really wonderful. I would strongly recommend that you have dinner there - it was reasonably priced and was a wonderfully home cooked meal by the team. The views speak for themselves - it looks amazing both in the rooms and the dining area. We got to look at the beautiful sunset casting its golden light onto the mountain peaks. The views of the gorge were amazing too. It was a 5 star stay all round.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Everything was amazing no flaws at all despite the communication barrier. The owner was so kind to give me free upgrade to a nice room that comes with magnificent view of the gorge. He also helps to arrange transportation to Tea Horse cafe as well as transport to go to Lijiang railway. They gave us free fruits after we finish our hike. As for breakfast, since we are muslim so we can’t really enjoyed their breakfast but they were kind enough to give us boiled egg, bread and sweet potatoes. They also have coffee machine which you can enjoy it. The room in very clean and brand new. They have automatic toilet. This hotel located near to Tina’s guesthouse so you can plan to hike there. There is also aesthetic cafe nearby for you to enjoy coffee with view. To all my fellow Malaysian friend please consider this hotel as your accommodation. Please see all my photos for the proof.

Very nice view from the room!! Worth it! Hotel has few amenities ( dryer for shoes and clothes) that suit the traveller who choose to do the trekking at tiger Gorge

The best decision I’ve made. The location is on a prime location, lies in the middle of the gorge, giving the luxury view from our terrace and our bed. We love the room and are impressed with the cleanliness. We are really impressed with the hotel owner. He is sincere in helping us in many ways and is patient when communicating with non-speaking guests like us. The lobby also serve fresh coffee from machines, which such great coffee is rare in this region I would say. Staying there made our night the best night in this beautiful scenic area. Absolutely recommend staying in this place!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in the gorge, offering breathtaking views right from our room (see photo). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude. The only downside was that the common areas could be a bit cleaner, and our room was a little cold since the heating only worked when the key card was inserted. This made it difficult to keep the room warm when we weren’t inside. Overall, despite these small issues, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the gorge!

I had a comfortable stay at Hotel Tiger Roar - Yunbo Jinsha. The rooms were clean, and the overall ambiance and view was great. The location was convenient for exploring the area. However, there was a misunderstanding regarding the pickup service. The owner had mentioned that they would provide a free pick-up and drop-off back to the bus stop, but there was some confusion about this during our stay. Sadly, we need to pay 80 RMB due to their miscommunication. It would be helpful if the hotel could clarify such services in advance to avoid any miscommunication. Overall, it was a good experience, and I appreciate the hospitality. A little more clarity on transportation services would make the stay even better.

The view from the room I was in is amazing (see the photo!) The owners also helped us get a share ride down to Lijiang. If you are coming here on your own without personal transport, you can add them on WeChat via the number provided here. Do give them a call if the ride up isn’t confirmed. The owner gave us a car ride to Halfway Guesthouse where we did the hike all the way back. Would love to stay here again if I visit Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Excellent location. Hiking route to the middle gorge is just a few minutes away by foot. The inn owners were attentive to our needs, helping us to arrange our transport to their inn, cooking delicious meals and advising us on the hike. We had a very comfortable stay and the view was amazing.

This modern hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of a beautiful gorge, right next to Tina hostel. But for us as foreigner, the kindness of owners is even more beautiful than the scenery.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the rooms at the top of the hotel directly overlooking the gorge. The room was very thoughtfully planned out, it had clothes and shoe dryers for your muddy post hike clothes and shoes. The hotel also had washing machines. Highly recommend this hotel. One thing to be beware of is if you're planning to do the 2 day upper mountain trail, this hotel is situated roughly at the end of that hike rather than the middle. It was doable to get to the hotel in 1 day but did total to 17km of hiking through some difficult terrain. We actually liked this since we can do the upper mountain trail first day and the middle and lower mountain trail the next day. Just something to keep in mind if you thought that this was halfway in the trail, it is situated around the end of the upper trail.

Lady boss was very hospitable and gave us a free upgrade to their top tier room with sky light (opens up to a view of the night sky - super romantic for couples). The room had a balcony with a great view of the gorge and was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The heating in both the room and the toilet was good. Huge TV was a plus. Food was decent, and the lady boss also sent up complimentary sliced apples to our room. Location wise it was conveniently located about 200m away from the bus dropoff point for 中虎峡/ Tina's guesthouse.

Excellent small hotel very modern and clean. I got an upgraded room with outstanding views of the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Staff very helpful and pleasant, a good local breakfast and fresh fruit were an added bonus.
