Shangri-La Mountain Wind and Moon View Homestay

The hotel staff was very helpful! They recommended restaurants for us and helped us arrange a driver when we were stuck without a taxi. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. The view from our room was somewhat limited. Good to know that the hotel is on a hill (but help with luggage was always arranged!)

Good small hotel close to the old town and the golden bell temple. They send a car to pick us up from the railway station which is great. Room are comfortable and all SMART with heater.

Hotel located inside the ancient city, literally a stone's throw from the main attractions. The room was very large, neat and clean. In addition, as soon as we arrived, we were offered an afternoon tea that we enjoyed very much. The hotel also provides an airport transport service at Shangri-La station. Finally, this also provided an entrance to fully discover ******* culture within a center where we had the opportunity to make incense and other elements typical of this culture.

This is our second stay in this lovely small hotel. They kept our luggage when we stayed overnight at Balagezong. The manager contacted us a day before for our transport services but we opted to choose the drop off service instead. As previously experienced, everything was smooth. The check-in process is easy. The room is comfortable for our family of 4. Everything is clean. The hotel is right in the Dukezong Ancient City. Just about 300 to 400 meters to the Dafo Temple Prayer Wheel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to spend the night in Shangri-La. P.S the photo of the Guishan Temple is taken from the hotel's window.

We chose to come Shangrila for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is seated within the old town of Shangrila. The room itself has oxygen tank for guests who are grasping for air at shangrila 😅 View is magnificent and the room comes with heater! Great for low temp in shangrila. Love to come back again!

We had a fantastic 3-night holiday stay here! The location in the central ancient village is perfect, with plenty of nearby attractions. The service was exceptional—the host was incredibly supportive, providing train station transfers and luggage assistance for both check-in and check-out. Definitely a 5-star experience! The only minor issue is the main entrance pathway, which goes behind a neighboring homestay's bathroom and has an unpleasant smell. Hopefully, the host can ask the neighbor to address this

The overall experience staying here was lovely! The owners very kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off at the train station on our final day of our stay. The accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and very conveniently located within the old town. However because the accommodation is located at the top of a little hill, accessibility may be a challenge. The walls may be a little thin for light sleepers, but aside from that we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend it!
