Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. For the rate that we paid which included the railway pick up and breakfast, we have no complaint at all. On top of that, as we arrived earlier than the usual check in time, the hotel was gracious enough to allow us for early check in. It was a short drive from the railway station to the hotel. The communications were done via wechat and it was all smooth as we can communicate using the wechat translator.
Our room were located on the third floor. It was steep stairs but we managed. The room was spacious enough for both of us. It has all the basic necessities and clean. There was also heated bed which was good as it was cold in Shangrila. The hotel also have luggage storage after check out which was good as we could continue exploring the city until it was time to take our train in the late afternoon. As for the breakfast, it was served at a diner across the street. There were mutliple set breakfast choices. Simple breakfast but technically it was enough for us as we dont have much option anyway as a muslim with specific food requirement. Croissant, eggs and fruits were good enough with tea and coffee.
The location of the hotel is really near to the Dukezong Ancient Town. Less than 5 minutes walk. It was rather convenient as we went back to the ancient town at the night time and has no trouble to find our way back to the hotel by foot. Also it is easy to get public transport at the area.
The hotel really looks photogenic ni the pictures especially at night time when all the lights were on.

The hotel is near the Shangrila Own Town. It’s quite old but clean. It provides electric heated pad. So warm.

hotel staff is helpful, friendly and good service (include airport pick up), but carpet floor still need to clean more.
the breakfast is provided the Pizza House, with English communication of the friendly lady.

Nice hotel, the staf was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the oppositie pizzeria, was a good breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful, going into the old town or going to the main road is very convenient.
There are heated beds and air conditioning suitable for the weather in Shangrila.
The hotel owner is enthusiastic and has a free pick-up service at the train station.
However, the bathroom has an unpleasant smell, possibly because the house was built a long time ago and the sewer design is not good.

But ❗️❗️❗️You can refer to the pictures for the hotel's hygiene and facilities. There are waste paper towels and discarded cosmetics hidden under the cupboard for unknown ages... Patches of various colors on the ground... The bathroom floor is so dirty that you can't stand... Tourists who come to Shangri-La should stay there. Days later, the hotel didn't even clean and replace toiletries every day... After calling for a request, the hotel came up to take out the trash and temporarily brought towels from the next door room... It's hard to imagine whether the sanitary products are changed after each guest.
