Jika datang lagi ke shangri-la, saya pasti akan menginap di sini lagi . kebetulan waktu ini salji turun, jadi tidak perlu pergi jauh untuk anak nak merasa suasana salji. Salam dari malaysia 😄😄

This homestay is absolutely beautiful and stylishly designed. The room was spacious, sparkling clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed—including an oxygen concentrator, which made breathing so much easier and ensured a perfectly restful stay. The rooftop offers a breathtaking, unobstructed view of the golden temple. I was lucky enough to get a room where I could enjoy this amazing view right from my bed. So impressive! The location is unbeatable—only a 10-minute drive from the railway station. Situated in the heart of the ancient town, we could walk around, explore, and find great food day and night. Plus, it’s just a 10-minute walk to the city’s famous landmark temple. The service was exceptional; the host and staff were incredibly warm, always serving hot tea for altitude sickness and providing convenient railway transfers. Lastly, you’ll fall in love with ‘Pei Pei‘, a massive, fluffy white Alaskan Malamute. He is incredibly playful, furry, and super cute!🐶 If you are visiting Shangri-La, I highly recommend staying here. It’s truly amazing and hands down the best accommodation of our entire trip!

The hotel is perfectly located right by the city gate to the old town. From here, you can reach the heart of the old town within about a 20-minute walk, while still being far enough away to enjoy genuine peace and quiet. One of the standout features of the hotel is the excellent level of quiet and sleep quality. You cannot hear the neighboring rooms at all, and once the window is closed, the traffic outside becomes virtually inaudible. I had a room with a beautiful view over the entire old town, which was a real highlight. The room itself was generally clean, although I did occasionally notice a few black hairs here and there and the carpet had several stains. A minor technical annoyance were the light switches, which sometimes did not respond properly and seemed to operate somewhat randomly. The only real downside was the cleaning staff’s behavior in the hallway. On several occasions, the cleaning lady sat on the carpeted floor in the corridor and answered video calls on loudspeaker, which could clearly be heard inside the room. Unfortunately, this does not create a very professional impression. Situations like that should ideally take place behind closed doors and certainly not over a phone’s loudspeaker in guest areas. Another issue was the centrally controlled air conditioning. During my stay it was set to heating mode, and since the window was quite small, it was difficult to get enough fresh air into the room. As a result, the room became rather stuffy and uncomfortably warm at night. Like in many other Chinese hotels, cigarette smoke occasionally made its way through the ventilation system. Despite the floor being designated as non-smoking (I think), some guests still smoke in their rooms, and the smell travels through the corridors and vents. On my last evening, an unpleasant cigarette smell unfortunately spread into the room. One thing I would like to highlight positively is the excellent and very service-oriented staff at the reception. They took great care of the cooling and storage of my insulin and handled it in a very professional and reliable way, which I really appreciated. Another feature I really appreciated, however, was the free laundry facility in the hotel, which was very convenient during a longer trip. Overall, I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay close enough to the old town to reach it easily, while still enjoying modern comfort and a generally peaceful place to rest.

Hartanah ini terletak di lokasi yang hebat, dalam jarak 10 minit berjalan kaki dari bandar lama. Tempat penginapan ini boleh diakses dengan kereta dan berhampiran stesen kereta api berkelajuan tinggi. Bilik yang saya tempah sangat besar dan selesa memuatkan tiga orang. Ia serba lengkap, dengan bilik mandi dan tab mandi, air panas dan sejuk, dan sistem cuci tandas pintar automatik. Kebersihannya sederhana, dan bilik dibersihkan setiap hari. Sarapan bermula pada 8:00 PG dan menampilkan hidangan tempatan seperti sayur tumis, hidangan goreng dan nasi rebus. Buah-buahan tersedia untuk snek pada sebelah petang, dan susu suam dihidangkan pada waktu malam sebelum tidur. Hartanah yang senyap dan agak baharu ini menampilkan mesin oksigen dalam bilik dan kanula hidung, sama seperti yang terdapat di hospital. The homestay itself is beautifully designed, calm, and thoughtfully put together. The rooms are extremely comfortable — the kind of space that immediately slows you down the moment you step inside. Nothing feels excessive, yet everything feels intentional. It was so cosy and well set up that we almost wanted to stay in rather than head out, simply because being in the room itself felt restful and grounding. A particularly reassuring feature was the oxygen support available in the room, along with access to professional-grade medical equipment for altitude sickness at no extra cost. This level of care is rare. On my first day, I experienced mild AMS, and a short session with their equipment made a noticeable difference. By the next day, I felt significantly better and fully adjusted. That alone reflects how thoughtfully the place is run. Location-wise, it is also very convenient — close to Shangri-La Old Town and easily accessible via ride-hailing for other areas. Despite this, the property still feels peaceful and slightly tucked away, striking a balance between accessibility and retreat. What truly defines this homestay is the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff and owners greeted us warmly every time we walked through the door. They consistently checked in on us in a genuine, unobtrusive way, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It never felt transactional — more like being looked after by people who truly cared. They also handled transport with great ease. The staff personally picked us up and later sent us to the railway station, removing all stress from logistics and making arrivals and departures seamless. Over time, the experience became even more personal. The owners are incredibly humble, and we often spent hours sitting with them over tea. These weren’t formal conversations but slow, relaxed exchanges about travel, life, and everything in between. On one occasion, they shared how they once spoke with a non-chinese speaking guest until 3am using Google Translate — a reflection of how open and curious they are. During these tea sessions, we also met other guests naturally, leading to spontaneous conversations. Language was never a barrier; the owner was comfortable bridging gaps with translation tools, and that openness made everyone feel included. One of the most charming parts of the stay was their dog, Wu Bao (Five Treasures). Friendly and full of personality, he quickly became part of daily life. The owners even allowed us to take him out for walks, which added a lighthearted touch. As the days passed, the relationship with the owners naturally deepened. It slowly shifted from host and guest to something closer to friendship. On one evening, they brought us out for supper and drinks, turning into one of the most genuine nights of the trip — full of laughter and effortless conversation. In return for their kindness, we brought them some food one night, only to be warmly invited to join a home-cooked dinner. That meal felt less like hospitality and more like being part of a family gathering. One regret is that we were so immersed in the experience that we forgot to take photos with the owners and staff — a reflection of how present everything felt. By the end, it was clear this place is defined not just by its rooms or amenities, but by its people. The sincerity, warmth, and ease of connection are what make it unforgettable. If we return to Shangri-La, this will be the place we stay again — not as guests, but as people returning to familiar faces, shared tea, and a place that genuinely felt like home.

A Warm Home in Shangri-La - Definitely Choose Wufan Shanjian! The luckiest choice of my trip to Shangri-La was definitely Wufan Shanjian Light Luxury Homestay, and the biggest surprise was meeting the owner couple, a local ******* pair. The simplicity and enthusiasm unique to Tibetans in them filled the entire journey with warmth. From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by their thoughtfulness: they not only took the initiative to pick us up at the high-speed railway station but also carefully reminded us not to rush to take a bath just after arriving on the plateau and to remember to turn on the oxygen concentrator at night. A family member traveling with us had a bit of altitude sickness, and the landlady Zhuoma immediately brought Coke and glucose to relieve the discomfort. In the evening, she specially brought warm yak milk and fresh grapes. Even the child kept saying that Aunt Zhuoma was as kind as family. The husband was simple and enthusiastic. When he saw that we had trouble parking, he immediately helped park the car without hesitation, so we didn't have to worry at all. When we wanted to find delicious skewers or plan the route around Napahai, they could always give the most authentic suggestions and even recommend reliable stores, which were more useful than the strategies we made. The environment of the homestay is impeccable. As a person with a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, the cleanliness here completely exceeded expectations - the rooms are bright and tidy, the bed sheets and quilt covers have no peculiar smell at all, and even the bathroom is cleaned spotlessly. The facilities are also very considerate, with full-house floor heating and smart devices. The oxygen concentrator by the bed can automatically adjust the oxygen concentration, completely solving the worry about sleeping on the plateau. What's more surprising is that the location is in the center of the ancient town, only a three-minute walk to the prayer wheel, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. During the few days staying here, I was moved by the details every day: free down jackets and umbrellas, pre-prepared moisturizing masks, hot breakfast in the morning, and even after leaving, when we found that we had forgotten something, the boss would carefully send it back. This kind of warmth that is not family but better than family made the beauty of Shangri-La more concrete. Next time I come, I will definitely stay here again!

On clear mornings, we were fortunate enough to witness the sunrise illuminating the mountain peaks with a beautiful golden glow—a truly unforgettable sight. From the comfort of the room, you can simply relax, enjoy the tranquility, and watch horses grazing and running freely across the fields. It feels like stepping into a painting. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to experience the local ******* culture. The hotel thoughtfully offers activities such as ******* incense making and traditional ******* butter tea tasting, allowing guests to gain a deeper appreciation of the region’s rich heritage. These experiences made our trip even more meaningful. The hotel itself is designed for relaxation. Whether you’re travelling as a couple seeking a romantic getaway or as a family looking for a quiet retreat, you’ll find it easy to slow down and fully immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings. The food and hospitality deserve special recognition. Breakfast offers an excellent variety of delicious choices, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary daily afternoon tea and evening desserts. These thoughtful touches made us feel genuinely cared for. The warm dessert served in the evening was especially comforting after a day of sightseeing and was a wonderful way to unwind while helping us acclimatize to the high altitude. Another feature we greatly appreciated was the oxygen-infused rooms. The additional oxygen made a noticeable difference and helped us adjust much more comfortably to Shangri-La’s elevation, allowing us to rest well and enjoy our trip without worrying about altitude discomfort. Finally, the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Their genuine hospitality made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. This hotel offers so much more than just a place to stay—it’s a destination in itself. Between the stunning scenery, authentic cultural experiences, thoughtful amenities, and exceptional service, it created one of the most memorable stays of our trip. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shangri-La.

This hotel is best place to stay . Very clean and the staff very friendly. They help us to pick up and drop off . This place is very convenient and near to city. Walk in distance to shopping , sightseeing, restaurants. This hotel located at middle of city. The room facilities were also good . They provide most of the things. I would like to give 5 star .
