During the rainy season, this place is very cozy and has everything you need. The room was big and had an oxygen machine along with humidifier and heater to ensure comfort for our family. Bright room but blackout curtains were effective. Views were mostly of construction around the location but didn’t bother us. The location is well-located with a convenience store down the street and plenty of Old Town restaurants in walking distance along with giant prayer wheel. Cars can come to pick you up directly or you can rent mopeds nearby. The couple who runs the place also gives great recommendations of when to do things and how to get places - easy to reach them on WeChat or in person. Having a pickup and dropoff makes travel super convenient. The breakfast is also healthy and filling. Shangri-La is quite high altitude, and we weren’t sure how we’d adjust, but this place has everything you need whether you want to rest or play! Wishing them much success with their future expansion

the homestay is so good and pretty (nice choice of color combination)! the facilities provided in the room is so good and top notch! good technology especially the modern toilet, took my time to play with the toilet bowl using the remote (haha). the beds also have heating mattress which I only remember the morning we checked out T___T. I suffered the cold for 2 nights for nothing, lol. everything is good and nice. the owner will chat through WeChat beforehand. a very friendly and warm hearted owner. the place is just around the dukezhong ancient town and it is easy for us to stroll around. also no problem for people who carry a lot of luggages as the car can reach the gate/door of the homestay! overall, recommended!

Xiao Tusi is a charming two-story Tibetan-style wooden guesthouse, offering a very comfortable stay. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. Convenient parking is available right at the entrance. Its location near the Old Town is extremely convenient. Overall, it's a very pleasant guesthouse.
However, during our two-night stay, there was no housekeeping service – our room wasn't cleaned, the trash wasn't emptied, and disposable amenities were not replenished. We sincerely hope the management addresses these issues for future guests.

Location is great. It's inside the lijiang Ancient city & also close to road with access to cars so you don't have to drag your luggage in the ancient city. It's also quiet at night for restful sleep.
Hotel has aircon, electric blankets, good hot showers and also heater at the shower area to keep u warm at all times during the colder times. Also an oxygen machine free for use. Only improvement is the black out curtains r not very black out, so the room will not be entirely blacked out.
They provide only one time use disposable towels which some prefer for hygiene but I still prefer the normal towels.
Daily housekeeping is not provided unless requested and advised that no valuables in the room.
Toilet is leaky so the floor is always kinda wet.
For travellers, late may / early June is kinda their rainy season so it's a bit troublesome when going to attractions. Rain is not heavy and with occasional sun.

這次入住真的被民宿老闆的熱情徹底圈粉！我是被我姐強烈推薦的這家在獨克宗古城內的民宿，民宿老闆卓瑪姐從預訂時就主動詢問我們的行程，到店後不僅詳細講解了香格里拉超實用的旅遊攻略，連小眾打卡點和避坑指南都傾囊相授，比做的攻略還靠譜。
最暖心的是剛放下行李，老闆就端來了熱乎乎的氂牛奶，喝完整個人都暖乎乎的，瞬間驅散了旅途疲憊。民宿裏的設施更是驚喜，全屋都是智能家居，燈光、窗簾語音就能控制，操作起來特別方便；而且傢俱全是嶄新的，質感很好，看得出來老闆在裝修上花了不少心思，住起來既舒適又有科技感。
推窗見景還超貼心，這家民宿直接封神！
這次住的房間真的把“景觀房”的優勢拉滿了，清晨拉開厚重的遮光簾，眼前的畫面瞬間讓人屏住呼吸：正對面就是鬱鬱葱葱的龜山公園，山頂的大轉經筒清晰得彷彿觸手可及，尤其是傍晚時分，夕陽灑在經筒上泛着暖光，連公園裡轉經的人羣都能隱約看見，不用擠在觀景台人堆裏，在房間裏就能靜賞這份獨特的景緻，隨手拍的照片發朋友圈被問爆地址。
更讓人感動的是民宿的細節貼心。考慮到當地的氣候和海拔，房間裏提前準備好了製氧機，老闆特意過來教我們使用方法，夜裡偶爾有點缺氧時打開，很快就舒服多了；衣櫃裏還掛着免費提供的厚實羽絨服，款式簡潔乾淨，完全不用自己揹着厚重衣物佔行李，出門逛公園、看經筒時穿上，防風又保暖。這份把客人需求想到前頭的用心，比風景更讓人覺得温暖，真心推薦給來這邊的朋友！
退房離開時，老闆還特意準備了當地藏族特色禮物金剛結送我和女朋友，説是一點心意，這份用心真的太戳人了。全程體驗下來，不僅住得舒服，更像在朋友家做客一樣自在，已經推薦給計劃來玩的朋友，下次再來一定還選這裏！

YYutoupaocaiThe service was incredibly warm and friendly, and the ambiance was absolutely fantastic. Unlike the crowded tourist spots, the hotel itself wasn't too busy. They even have a styling studio where kids can happily try on different outfits and pose for photos. Plus, there were various opportunities for friendly interactions with small animals. We'll definitely have to stay longer next time!

YYuyuyuwanyeeChoosing this guesthouse near Napahai Grassland was the smartest decision I made on this trip to Shangri-La. There's no need to rush to tourist attractions; you can simply lie in bed and watch the cattle and sheep grazing on the grassland. This is truly the perfect way to experience a high-altitude getaway! 🐑🐮
🌿 The room exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and thoughtful amenities. A full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offers a direct view of the grassland. In the afternoon, sunlight streams in beautifully, and I found myself curled up in a lounge chair, watching the distant animals, so peaceful I didn't even want to touch my phone. The room comes with underfloor heating and a humidifier, preventing that dry feeling in the middle of the night. The in-room oxygen supply was a lifesaver, allowing us newcomers to the high plateau to sleep soundly.

Absolutely adored their 3 receptionist assistants i.e. their Alaskan Malamutes that greeted us when we arrived, all 3 are so friendly and fluffy! Appreciated the free tea and teaset in the room, photoshoot service, and the nightly delivery of desserts and especially the birthday surprise they prepared for me! Views and the room are absolutely breathtaking. 10/10 would stay again!

LLsyzzzThe service was absolutely fantastic. The staff proactively helped with our luggage, assisted with parking, and even upgraded us to a superior room type when available, plus provided complimentary fruit. This was particularly thoughtful as we had a long drive ahead when we checked out.
**Room Facilities:** The room was very spacious, new, and spotless. It was equipped with an oxygen concentrator and humidifier, which is perfect for anyone experiencing mild altitude sickness. P.S. The hairdryer was the most powerful I've encountered in any hotel during my Yunnan trip – it actually dries your hair completely!
**Location & Transportation:** The hotel is very close to Dukezong Ancient City, and ordering food delivery was also super convenient.
**Breakfast:** The breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented.
I would definitely stay here again next time!

JJaquelyn MolloyI love this little place. Each room is an individual villas / rooms with its own bathroom. Standing on its own with lots of space between each villas. It feels as if we are on our own with no one next to us but the wide open skies. The property is nestled in the nature amongst the local farmers and we got to experience a milking a cow on one of the home farmers backyard. My girls 10 & 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to bring the milk back to the property and the staff helped us to treat the milk before serving it to us for consumption. It was a shame that we are a month too early for the mushroom picking experience (Shangri-La being on a higher altitude)
My girls roamed the ”neighbourhood” outside the property with their walkie talkies and were just playing with the neighbours / farmers chicken , cows, lambs and horses. They had a ball. Within the property itself, there are 3 dogs who will visit you at your villa or at the reception / dining area (when food is served) at all times of the day. They are so friendly and my girls thoroughly enjoyed their company. There is also a horse on the property who roams around freely.
The staff is so accommodating to our needs. The property is about 20 mins out from city centre and we can organise a driver with the property to pick us up and drop us off.
We were driven by the owner of the property on multiple occasions and always just text them about 30-1 hour in advance (depending on where we are). It was nice to have that option. sometimes it's easier to have a familiar face and because we spoke mandarin, it was also nice to be able to converse with the same person .
Breakfast was scrumptious in my opinion and we get an option of noodles or rice porridge and condiments to go with. You can request for dinner as well and they will ask you during the day etc. although wild mushroom hot pot (their speciality in the area) needs to be prepared one day in advance.
It is a very special place and as we were leaving the owner is installing new furniture to the rooms and also a new structure for an outdoor BBQ space.

AAnonymous UserShān Lín Yuè was truly a delightful highlight of this trip! The moment we walked in, a fluffy 'friend' came right over to greet us, and our hearts just melted! The afternoon tea was exquisite and incredibly thoughtful – truly therapeutic. The front desk attendant not only helped us with our luggage upstairs but also discreetly shared a secret path to catch the most stunning reflection of Songtsam Linka Monastery. He patiently explained how to best explore the area, making us feel like old friends. The front desk attendant proved to be an excellent driver, getting us to the Tusi Banquet incredibly quickly. I highly recommend booking the Tusi Banquet through him; we not only secured front-row seats but also got a better price than booking elsewhere! This place didn't feel like a guesthouse at all; it was more like a second home in Shangri-La. I'm already dreading having to leave!

GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are quite good, with diffused oxygen. The new renovations have a slight smell, but it's acceptable. Our room was on the first floor, and the view from the window differed slightly from the promotional photos, partially obscured by the first-floor roof. The yak hotpot for dinner was excellent, generous in quantity, and excellent value for money. The restaurant staff was friendly. Regarding the service, it's a bit hard to describe, considering the nearly 2,000 yuan per night room. We stayed in a quadruple room. We informed the housekeeper of the number of people in the room before check-in, but the room only had two towels, a bath towel, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. We contacted the housekeeper for a long time but received no response. We later learned she was helping out in the restaurant and said she had lost her phone. It took several requests before she finally delivered everything. We spoke to the housekeeper, and she explained that she was responsible for seven rooms, and they were already fully booked. She was incredibly busy. From check-in to check-out, the housekeeper had a gloomy expression on her face, but it was hard to blame her. Also, regarding the scenic area tickets, I wish the service could be more detailed. The hotel is located within the scenic area, so you don't need to purchase a separate ticket. Here's a little context for those who come later. At that time, the hotel staff said that the scenic spot also needs to make money, and you need to buy a ticket. It costs 90 to buy it yourself, and only 62 to buy it at the hotel, regardless of size. Later, I learned that 90 is the price for online purchases, and you can buy a ticket for 50 on site, and children can get it at half price... Such a chaotic ticket purchase has reduced my good impression of the Songzanlin Scenic Area and the hotel.

MM26haaimb****This hotel on the stunning Shangri-La grassland is excellent! It offers breakfast, has a laundry room, features automatic toilets, and boasts advanced facilities. The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so there’s no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains.
I recommend driving up the hotel’s internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, it’s absolutely breathtaking.
In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. Windows faced an inner courtyard, compromising privacy and making it inconvenient to open them. This is an important point to consider when choosing hotels in the ancient town, but most suffer from this problem. Also, many wooden inns have poor sound insulation—something I, as a long-term overseas resident and traveler, cannot accept. Visiting Dukezong Ancient Town takes about an hour.
The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. It’s incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, it’s free (no entrance fee), though you’ll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic.
This hotel is highly recommendable to friends!
