It was a welcoming hotel with the friendliest staff.

Pro: The builidng was beautiful. The receptionists were very nice. The room was big and clean. Air-con was good. We had two quiet nights. The breakfast was great with very helpful staff. Cons: The lift was not working.

The facade was under renovation. The room was spacious and the front desk service was nice. We had a small hiccup that Ctrip handled efficiently and properly. BTW: Breakfast was just okay (compared to other hotels I've stayed at across the UK over the past two weeks).

This is a very cozy hotel. The staff are patient and enthusiastic. The room was tidied up very cleanly, and there were no hairs on the sheets. This alone is a significant improvement over many "four and five-star hotels" in central England. The breakfast selection was also extensive, and the taste ranked quite high among the 'white people's food' I had on this UK trip. If you're driving to the Lake District, this would be a great choice.

The hotel reception was very friendly. We arrived late, around 9:30 PM, because we were shopping at Bicester Village. The hotel is next to a Holiday Inn and has a decent-sized parking lot; it costs 6 pounds for an overnight stay, deducted from the deposit. Our room rate included dinner, but since the restaurant closed at 9 PM, the hotel arranged for us to eat at the bar next door. We ordered steak and fish and chips, which were surprisingly good, especially the steak. The room and bed were both very spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, featuring smoked salmon. Everyone in our group agreed it was great. There's also a traditional British reception room near the entrance, perfect for taking photos!

The stay was very pleasant! The hotel is located in the heart of the city, making transportation incredibly convenient.

I made a mistake with my booking and the manager that was on shift (wish I had got his name) was brilliant. Very helpful, best customer service I’ve had in a long time. This was around 5.30 in the afternoon. For the actual hotel, it was all fine just not 100% clean in the room. There were a few hairs I saw around the hotel room and the bathroom was dated. The shower also kept changing temp all the time.

Always stay at this hotel, really clean and lovely rooms, nice food in the bar area, good drinks, close to the centre of town, huge car park
