Please don’t book this place!!!! We stayed only 10 minutes and were actually booked for the weekend, as of Friday 22nd Nov to Sunday 24th Nov. The online photos were good, as well as a decent location but…. It smelt awful…of damp grease and stale food. The walls carpets bathrooms were mucky. The fridge had stale food in it, the freezer was iced up and wouldn’t shut. The bedding was saggy and old and smelt damp and musty. The pillows were wafer thin. The sofa in the living room was broke. I didn’t even want to take my coat or shoes off! But more importantly is now they are refusing to refund, as they now say I have tried to cancel and it’s out of cancellation time. Completely ignoring the actually reason we didn’t stay. Also be aware it hasn’t private parking, that is charged separately and they will ask for a £150 breakages deposit after you have booked. That was something else that worried me, as there was so much wrong with the place. I don’t know if they would give me that back. As I said at the beginning do not book this place, you will regret it!

We paid £127 for a room in the nest but got a bargain basement room in the “space saver at figtree lane”. We booked the room as we was watching Peter Kay and turned it into a stop over. Once we booked the room they became very aggressive with demanding my driving license for identification and £150 damage deposit. It was also claiming “private parking” which is not correct it is a private owned car park at £10 for 24hrs, a ten minute walk from the property. Access to the property was simple and a bit awkward to use the lock box but we got inside , I noticed the entrance to the main building had these very heavy metal gates and upon entering was like “student accommodation” very basic setup. We was allocated apartment 1 in the space saver at figtree lane (we wasn’t aware of this at the time). Upon entering the property I noticed it was freezing inside and the windows had been left open. We tried to turn on these really small heaters but you could, fart harder, so we left them off. There was an oil heater in the lounge area but upon moving it was very difficult to move and looked broken along with the table next to it so they got left as they were. We went for food and the show returning around 0100 and the realisation of where we was and the condition made me want to leave but I had had a few pints so decided to stay it till 0700 where we left immediately. During this period we noticed dried sick on the walls and skirting board around the bed. It was very obvious as the space between the bed and the wall was minimal. There was also cigarette burns in the bed covers and the bed squeaks at any given opportunity. There was cigarette burns in the bath mats and the blinds didn’t close fully leaving a bright light constantly shining in during the hours we was there. Once I returned home and rested I messaged the owner with our experience and the damaged items. He withheld our damage deposit ans HE blamed us for doing the damage, this took us a further 4 days to have returned when it never looked like we was getting it back. After getting in touch with ***********, who did nothing. We was met with some very abusive and aggressive message from their manager who has zero customer care. We stayed on the 17/11/2023 and 10 days later I am still getting bullying emails from them with regards my true review. ****AVOID AT ALL COSTS***** All these want is your money something we all work hard for. To be able to enjoy night out and away. These are scammers and are allowed to get away with it with *********** who do not care or help. ****AVOID AVOID AVOID****
