Even though the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained. The location is excellent, right next to the metro station and Shenzhen Railway Station, making it super convenient to cross the border into Hong Kong. The breakfast selection is also quite extensive, and even though the swimming pool is outdoors, it's very clean. Definitely worth another stay.

This is the best value-for-money hotel in Futian. While not newly renovated, its style and design are classic and beautiful. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a junior suite. Both the living room and bedroom featured large floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views. I only had two minor issues: First, housekeeping forgot to provide bottled water. I only realized there wasn't any in the room late at night and had to call room service to get some. Also, upon check-in, I noticed that one of the drawers on either side of the living room was half open and the other was closed, indicating that room service attention to detail could be improved. Second, the room had some smart amenities, but their effectiveness was minimal. For example, the electric trash can and automatic kettle – the latter was actually broken, as the water I set to 100 degrees was still cold after half an hour. Ironically, the things that truly needed an upgrade weren't. On one side of the bed, only the time display had a charging port; one port didn't work, and the other made a loud noise when charging. I ended up having to use the old-fashioned outlet on the other side of the bed. If renovations are planned, I'd suggest focusing on these essential areas. Overall, the positives far outweigh these minor drawbacks. The lobby decor is magnificent, with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the service was excellent. It's a hotel I really like.

The hotel is beautiful, with very thoughtful decoration and furnishings. The facilities are new and function perfectly. The location is also excellent; rooms on three sides offer sea views, and the remaining side also has an open vista. If you're exploring the Nanshan area, the transportation is convenient. However, the service doesn't match the quality of the hardware or the price. I won't even mention the minor issues, but there were a few significant problems. Firstly, we checked in around 10 AM and immediately went out. When we returned in the evening, we were given a room directly facing a construction site. If it hadn't been so late, we definitely would have asked to change rooms. The next day, we realized there were many workers actively constructing, which negatively impacted both our experience and privacy. I believe a hotel of Shangri-La's caliber should only assign such rooms as a last resort and should inform guests when providing the key card. Secondly, for some reason, there was a long queue to scan cards and enter the breakfast restaurant – something I've never encountered before. Even at nearly 10:30 AM, people were still waiting in line, and the hostess was incredibly agitated and impatient. Overall, the breakfast service was hard to describe; while the spread was plentiful and the food tasted good, the service was lacking. Thirdly, when I asked for a few disposable bags for dirty laundry, we were told we could only have a maximum of three. I was truly speechless. Honestly, the overall service gave me a feeling of superficial politeness, coupled with unprofessionalism and an almost 'mean' attitude. If you're looking to take beautiful photos, you might consider staying here, but for anything else, I wouldn't recommend it.
