Hotel berhampiran JR Midoriko station, Shiojiri

朝食がいまいちですね

The hotel just near the station and that was good and maybe only good. They allocated us a non-smoking room but it was quite smelly of cigarettes. I believe the room was supposed to be a smoking room before and no deodorization well. The bed mattress didn't absorb the vibrations so it is not comfortable if you sleep on a double size bed with two. The sofa cover had some big stains on it and seems not to be clean. However, the town doesn't have any good hotel actually and you may not find a good alternative one.

Hotel situado a cinco minutos de la estación de tren, cosa que facilita, como en todo Japón, el acceso a restaurantes, autobuses y otros servicios de necesidad. Exento de adornos se distingue por su carácter práctico, adecuado para una estancia no muy prolongada en la ciudad. Habitación limpia y aseptica, camas de 1,30 cm. Ofrece desayuno no muy atractivo para el huesped occidental. Estrictos hasta el rigor en cumplir la hora de entrada a la habitación.

This was a stopover hotel for our tour of Japan. It's well-located, walking distance to the railway station. The hotel carpark is small and we ended up in a garage about a 7-minute walk away. (10-minute if you have luggage.) We ended up in the executive floor. The rooms were all right in size. The major plus is the 14th floor executive lounge. We were there on New Year Day but ALL the restaurants that looked decent said they would only allow us in with reservations. We had not expected that. Fortunately, we had a good fill at the lounge, went to MacDonald's (across the road from the Railway Station) for a burger and then returned to the Lounge to top up with drinks. Although it was near the closing time for the lounge, still the staff topped up the food. Breakfast was pretty good. But the dining area is somewhat small. So we had to wait 10 minutes. They do have a picnic arrangement, which was pretty charming. Staff were friendly, things worked. Yes, I would recommend this.

入り口が分かりにくく非常に不親切であるが、駅近で便利である。非常に清潔で、自由に使えるラウンジがとてもよい。冷水などのサービスがある。ただし安宿だけあり、共用スペースでのオンライン飲み会や仕事の会議、またカプセルでのいびきなど民度は非常に低かった。

We decided to stop in Suwa to break up a long drive back to Tokyo. Shinyu looked very good and the price was reasonable. The hotel is renovated and gives a nice modern spa hotel atmosphere. The greeting at the hotel is very nice and the lobby area is beautiful. We felt very welcomed when we arrived. Our room was facing the lake. It was Japanese style with tatami and futons. Nice room, nice view. The public bath was nice. Not huge but felt very good. They have an indoor bath, small outdoor bath, a sauna and a cold bath. Dinner was great, as was breakfast. They were both courses and delicious. Service? Well, this is what makes all the difference. When we book hotels we need to detail my daughter's food allergies which are serious. For this trip we had booked many hotels in a row and for some reason when we booked Shinyu and checked-in we just forgot. It was our fault and when we sat for dinner we saw her prepared meal that she obviously could not eat. The staff at Shinyu didn't miss a beat. The didn't make a big deal about it. No stress. The quickly adjusted and made a wonderful dinner for my daughter and also prepared for her breakfast in similar fashion. Wonderful. Such great service. Maybe the building isn't perfect. But the service was perfect. Shinyu was our last stop on our trip and we left with a smile. Shinyu gets an ”Excellent” from my family.

住了兩種房型，前台在第一晚就幫我安排好房間，並讓我第二天將行李留在房間就好，很省心方便。別館的房間挺舊，但價格低，主樓的湖景房景觀一級！早餐温泉都一樣可以享用。早餐味道很不錯，温泉view也是最棒。做一下電子問卷還有小糖果。旁邊就是間歇泉，離上諏訪站也不過走路12分鐘。總之，很滿意！

The hotel is near to Matsumoto Station. The restaurant/reception is at 10th floor which has a nice view of the Alps!

The hotel was a 5min walk from the JR station and the room was very spacious. Places like the Matsumoto Castle and Ishii miso brewery were also within 10-15mins walkable distance. I was also able to check-in earlier than the stipulated time and the staff could converse in English quite well.
