Recommend if you are looking for a clean and quality place to stay and are a budget traveller. This yha has a very high standard compared to others. It is more like a youth hotel with bunk beds rather than a backpackers place. You also meet travellers of all ages, families and youth groups around the place. The rooms are super tidy and serviced daily, spacious luggage lockers that fit a large suitcase (fantastic!) and are light filled with aircon or windows to be opened. The kitchen is very big, nice rooftop terrace with city views and pool area. Tv lounge and soon it’s own co working hub which I think is a great addition to the concept. Free luggage storage for guests and friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend

Chosen for the location and boy, that was spot on. So central to transport links, shops and the river, it's ideal if tou want to explore. The rooms are so big! Chose a two bedroomed apartment for three of us that was huge for a city centre hotel. Good kitchen, washing and drying facilities and big lounge area. Reception were outstandingly polite and helpful, and a previous reviewer commented on the peace that envelops you as you enter, which is a relief from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just be aware that it is an old building. Hence, when your next-door neighbour turns on the shower, there can be some interesting noise from the pipework. Also, you are in a city centre and I was surprised to wake at 0200hrs ro the sound of a CCTV camera announcing to whoever was shouting and screaming in the street that they were being recorded- very C3PO!

We originally booked into the Novotel on a premium king room rate paying $319 to include breakfast. This was booked incorrectly due to some glitch in their booking system - which meant I couldn’t stay there at the time I wanted to and I was given a credit to use at another time. We used this credit last night and when checking in we were told we could park downstairs. No mention anywhere of cost. We went to our room and upon showering at around 11:30 - our shower was blocked and wouldn’t drain. We had to call front desk and at midnight nearly had to change rooms so we could shower. Came down in the mornign to have our buffet breakfast that we paid for - and we’re told that we weren’t on the list and couldn’t have breakfast without paying again. Off to reception and point out that not only did we actually already pay for breakfast in our original booking but pointed out that we have paid $319 for our room and right now on the website you can pay $310 for the same room WITH breakfast included. The manager Teresa was extremely unhelpful and told us that there’s nothing to be done about it. We would have to just wait to talk to reservation team in an hour. We decided to check out and leave. Still nothing mentioned about parking and yet when I go to exit the car park I was asked to pay $25 to validate parking! Absolutely unacceptable service. We should have been comped breakfast straight away as ANY one can see we clearly paid a rate that matches breakfast and it’s not OUR fault that Novotel lost track of it and didn’t book the follow up room properly. I travel for work multiple times a month and I will never recommend a Novotel again for either business or personal use.

PPengguna TetamuWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.

This hotel is stunning. The staff at check in & out were super friendly. Room was modern, very clean and the bed was huge & extremely comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants. Public transport and the city. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room on level 1. Only let down is, there is no restaurant at the hotel so no breakfast room service.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

PPengguna TetamuI had a perfectly pleasant stay until thhe day before I checked out when someone from reception entered the room (while I was in there) under the impression that I was supposed to have checked out. It was probably a simple mistake, which while invasive is also understandable. No apology, but they are mostly meaningless anyway and it probably wasn't the fault of the person who entered the room. Hadbit ended there I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the same thing happened again when despite the 'do not disturb' sign on the door housekeeping also entered the room also under the mistaken impression that I had checked out. I called reception after the second incident and was put on hold for 18 minutes before they eventually tried to put the blame on housekeeping (and repeatedly got my name wrong, which I wouldn't have cared about if it weren't for the being on hold and the weasily attempt to put what was clearly a reception error on the housekeeping staff). The whole incident left a lingering bad impression, which is unfortunate after an otherwise very pleasant and uneventful stay.

PPengguna TetamuI dont feel like its a 4/5 star hotel, old building and very small bath room, services were ok, the staffs were not professional enough! Just a simple question about breakfast buffet but had to ask 2 people to confirm and even they were not quite sure about it!

1194HeatherM194Stayed here for a couple of months for work nearby. Had a great reception from staff. very friendly, helpful and inviting. Which remained throughout my visit, nothing was too much trouble, always helpful. Room was perfect, city skyline view at night from the balcony was great. Room facilities gave me all I needed for cooking and storage. Cleanliness was outstanding across whole property. Car parking secure. I love early morning walks and this was an easy stretch to the river for exercise. I think they even ordered perfect weather for me. Great hotel, well done 😊

PPengguna TetamuRoom 13 - yea shall I say no more room 13 and it’s not great!! Bad points- No manned reception, was advised 3 hours before arrival must precheck in or will be denied a room after I fully paid for all rooms are pin only. I don’t have a problem great idea. The beds are one of the worst I’ve ever slept in. I travel to some of the worst places and there are beds better then these the main bed springs felt like they were breaking through the bed every turn was the noisiest would wake everyone in the room. The mattress felt over 30 years old worn and like you would fall through it. Great grandmas mattress is better The single bed was better but 4 people can sleep in one comfortable bed No extra pillows or blankets The floor had not been vacuumed all stuff in one area of the floor - room smelt clean (spritz spray) Dust everywhere, bugs in the room and holes in the bath towels. Mould in the shower all over the door The bathroom door had to be opened and closed with force Curtains have marks all over them not clean Aircon was particularly broken more cosmetic looks, chilled amazingly The room is right next to a main door everyone that comes in or out - slams the door all hours No soft closing hinge would be good if there was one wouldn’t be woken up with the slam every-time no Foxtel - no one made up your room like other motels the next day (no big deal just an fyi) When I arrived I had a toddler, child and 2 large bags and asked if there was lifts the staff lol and said the stairs are there and stayed sitting on the ground. I walked up the exit car park ramp with all bags and children ( no I’m not precious just not convenient) Holes in the wall in the main room near dining table Holes in walls in the bathroom Good points…. Great price Great location walking distance to Hamilton precinct IGA, Woolworths metro, lots of eateries and Eat St (amazing place of all types of food vans) Great distance walking distance to the ferries Out dates Furniture looked like it was from the 1970s (I don’t have an issue just an FYI) A little bar fridge with separate freezer was amazingly cold I wouldn’t rate this place 3.5/4 stars maybe 2.5-3 disappointed but you get what you pay for. I have some photos for proof of asked to supply .

I dont feel good in this place. So in the morning i pick UP my stuff and leave this place. This are only my feeling. The staff there was polite and gentile with me in my stay there. Was my responsability to go there and same to leave there. Thanks to staff
