1. STAR: The reception was not a warm welcome. It was more a formal reception of sign here and credit card or bankcard, and your room is probably not ready. A phone call, it is ready. This is your room number, etc. No nice emphatic welcome what so ever, but more a strict procedure. Maybe we encountered the wrong employee that would be more at the right place in the back office. Parking 11 euro (Life hack: at the street, 80 meters away, it is free of charge). Sauna: 10 euro 😡, should be free for a hotel. You start wondering how mich the toilets will costs. Bad managerial decision. 2. STAR The comfort room is a small room with an older flatscreen tv or better, a thick flatscreen. The airco seems never be succes to cool it down. It’s a warm 21,5 degrees and it never goes to the desired 19. Pillows are very thin. Matras somewhat hard. Two separate beds. Woha! Didn’t expect that! 3. STARS: Total impression inside, old but enough maintained. 4 STAR: Kitchen, was above expectations. Very good lady chef de cuisine and a very friendly waiter who works here for 42 years. 5 STAR: They will tear it down and build a new hotel in the next few years. Average: 3 STARS. PPengguna TetamuTypisches Business-Hotel am Stadtrand von Krefeld in einem Gewerbegebiet, jedoch ruhig und fast ein wenig idyllisch inmitten eines kleinen Parks mit einem See gelegen. Trotz der abseitigen Lage vom Krefelder Hauptbahnhof recht gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar; von der Straßenbahnhaltestelle „Edelstahlwerk Tor 3“ nur wenige Minuten Fußweg. Die teilweise mäßigen bis schlechten Bewertungen für dieses Hotel kann ich beim besten Willen nicht nachvollziehen. Für mich vielmehr ein ordentliches, durchaus empfehlenswertes Etablissement. Nach dem zügigen, aber unpersönlichen Check-in erwartete mich ein freundliches, helles und zweckmäßig-modern eingerichtetes Zimmer in einwandfreiem Unterhaltungs- und Reinigungszustand. Bequemes Bett mit guten Kissen. Ausreichend dimensioniertes, zeitgemäßes Badezimmer mit großzügiger Duschkabine, ebenfalls absolut sauber. Föhn leider mangels Leistung nahezu nutzlos. Überraschend vielfältiges, ansprechend präsentiertes Frühstücksangebot mit Produkten guter Qualität. Auffallend war vor allem das breite Angebot an leckeren warmen Speisen: nicht nur die „Standards“ wie Rührei und Speck, sondern auch Rostbratwürstchen, Hash Browns, Grilltomaten und Champignons.

PPengguna TetamuThere really is nothing physically wrong with this property. A nice looking property that is not really old and with decent facilities. Guest rooms are a bit small but appropriate for the Mercure brand and quit well appointed and A/C that works. No, the issues are all related how this property is run. The rooms, especially the bathrooms are simply not clean, with dirty toilets and mold on the tile. The wall mounted shampoo container was empty upon arrival and never replenished. If one takes a closer look at the overall quality of housekeeping in the rooms, once comes to the conclusion that it really is quite terrible. The carpets in the public areas are dirty and in desperate need of shampooing or replacing. The property has a ” great room” that is used for meetings and get togethers. But it is also used for screaming children early in the morning, although this room is surrounded by an atrium arrangement with many guest rooms. Net, net - this property needs to either step up or find a new management company. The only positive I can come up with is that the front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

We booked here because our daughter stayed at the Disney Paris hotel and said it was very good this hotel is close to the train station and has a tram stop if you can’t walk far,The staff were very helpful and pleasant the reception gave us a map and pointed out where the Christmas markets were.The hotel is very much like a Hampton by Hilton but not as spacious it it situated on a cross road and you can here the noise from traffic and trams but we enjoyed staying here as it was great value for the money.we paid for breakfast on our first day to see if it was good then booked for the rest of our stay as it was very good nice fresh rolls ham and cheese.I would definitely recommend here and hopefully visit again next year

PPengguna TetamuAlles soweit ok, das Frühstückszimmer sehr dunkel, habe auf das Frühstück verzichtet. Das Bett für das Einzel ist viel zu schmal. Ich brauche zwar kein 140er Bett, aber beim Umdrehen hatte ich Sorge aus dem Bett zu fallen. Warum so schmal in einem grossen Zimmer und was für ein komisches Bett, wie eine Campingliege???
