El sitio está adaptado para su función de hotel. Nos dieron una habitación abuhardillada que daba la sensación poquísimo espacio, de hecho había poco donde moverse. Una pequeña ventana en el techo de vigas de madera dejaba entrar algo de aire y luz...Lo peor fue la insonorización. Con ventana cerrada, el ruido de la calle peatonal (con múltiples chiringuitos) fue constante. No sé si Burgos carece de normativa sobre ruidos y locales de ocio pero este sábado estuvieron toda la madrugada con movimiento: jaleo de gente hablando y chillando (normal), ruido de golpes, etc. El casi que después de estar toda la noche en vela, quedó un grupo de personas, seriamente perjudicadas, cantando y chillando casi hasta el amanecer. IMPOSIBLE DORMIR ESA NOCHE!!! Lo gracioso es que cuando se lo comento en la recepción del hotel, se hace de nuevas, como si contara algo inusual. En fin, las expectativas no se han cumplido, además la limpieza no es una de sus cualidades.

PPengguna TetamuOs quartos, bem como o pequeno-almoço, estão mais ao nível de um 5 do que de um 4 estrelas. Atenção que o restaurante do hotel (que é óptimo) fecha aos domingos. Uma dica - a 100 metros a oeste do hotel existe um parque de estacionamento público mais barato e espaçoso do que o do hotel.

Exceptional location, entrancing view from our room, beautiful hotel exterior and interior, well-appointed, spacious and comfortable room, engaging staff, excellent service, delicious meals! Need I say more? We just loved our stay and we all long to go back!

Located in an industrial area 10mins north of Burgos town with ample free parking. We utilised this hotel as our last night stopover before catching the early afternoon ferry from Santander. Easy access onto the main road network and just under 2hrs drive to the ferry port. Unfortunately the day of our visit was a public holiday in Spain so the hotel was brimming with guests in the in house restaurant and the reception guys were obviously not happy having to work from the lack of welcome and expressions on their faces. Never the less the room exceeded our expectations in view of the very good room rate. Good size and very clean room with very comfortable beds and everything you need in the bathroom. Good for a one night stopover before catching the ferry.

PPengguna TetamuNo me esperaba esto de un hotel de tres estrellas, vamos a empezar: Ni un solo cajón en la habitación, sin caja fuerte ni nevera, una sola silla en una amplia habitación de matrimonio, eso si, los cristales muy sucios. Para desayunar en la Cafetería del Hotel y que solo abre por la mañana, pues no te puedes tomar un café con leche y una tostada (por ejemplo) tiene que ser buffet completo obligatoriamente. Esto es en la primera Cafetería de un hotel en la que me pasa; que no me sirven lo que pido y me obligan al buffet que no puedo tomar por problemas de salud, increíble. El colchón de la habitación ya por si solo es para escribir un libro; es de muelles y bien duro, hacía mucho que no dormía en uno de estos que suena más que una moto trucada cada vez que te mueves. Es un colchón FLEX Multielástic GAMA MM. (FOTO) y que mi mujer que es discapacitada no toleraba, aparte de provocarla molestias en la espalda no podía descansar bien, yo cuando reservé habitación dije bien claro que era para dos personas, una de ellas con una discapacidad importante. Prometieron cambiarnos de habitación ya que la única que tienen preparada para personas con discapacidad lleva fuera de servicio desde enero del 2023 al parecer por un problema con una ventana, no nos cambiaron de habitación. Luego prometieron cambiarnos el colchón pero el día que nos íbamos tras comentar mi mujer en recepción que había dormido muy mal, la recepcionista dijo que la gobernanta había cambiado nuestro colchón por uno de la habitación de discapacitados que estaba fuera de servicio desde hace meses. Mi mujer ante esto solo pudo decir que eso era totalmente falso, que no habían cambiado el colchón pues lo había sufrido igual que en noches anteriores y que ya era mucha casualidad que un muelle de ese colchón en particular se le clavara en el mismo sitio todas las noches... incluso con el supuesto ”nuevo colchón”. Pues ahí queda nuestra experiencia en este hotel de tres estrellas, la primera vez que tenemos una odisea como esta en un hotel o en un hostal, de tres estrellas, de más o de menos. Lo único que se salva es el buen trato de las personas de recepción y que el hotel se encuentra a solo 800m. de La Catedral y del Casco Viejo. Saludos.

Very good hotel in the middle of the city. The secure parking is excellent and directly below the reception. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant as thanks to the protesting farmers our 6 hour journey took 12 hours instead of 6! The late hour of arrival made it a bit of a hobsons choice but it turned out that every cloud has a silver lining! The set menu was superb as were the staff. I normally avoid hotel restaurants but if you stay here the set 3 course menu is fabulous and fantastic value for money. The restaurant staff were also friendly efficient and helpful. We would particularly like to thank them for turning what was an incredibly stressful day into one not too bad.

Muy bien ubicado, aunque el parking, 20 euros, es algo caro.
La pena es que no pusieron la calefacción de la habitación, y cuando llegamos, con 1 grado en la calle, estaba helada.
La habitación, por cierto, enorme.

TTraveler43491140158We arrived here on a tour. One lift to get about 40 people to their rooms. Ended up carrying my suitcase three flights instead of waiting. The room was clean and cosy, large single beds and very quiet. USB plugs in the power points beside the bed were an added bonus. The Bathroom VERY small but the water pressure for the shower was fantastic! Very close to the Cathedral, approx 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. My only gripe was that the bar opened at 8.30pm and I was looking for my nightly G&T at 6pm! Breakfast area way too crowded. The toaster takes an age to cook. One coffee machine for such large numbers is too little. Breakfast satisfactory but nothing startling. Would recommend.

My partner and I are staying at Hotel Rice Reyes Católico in a group booking as part of an arts festival in beautiful Burgos, Spain. We have been in Burgos 17 times (but who’s counting?), so we know the town and the hotels. When we arrived at the hotel and went to our room, it was stuffy. We turned on the air conditioning, but nothing happened. No cool air came out of the vents. We left, had dinner, and returned around 11 p.m. Still no air. We asked the night desk clerk about the AC. He said, “Do you have a fan?” We said that we didn’t, but when we entered our room, we saw that a fan had been brought to the room. This fan was our air conditioning. In Spain. In July. On day four of our stay, the fan is still our AC, despite repeated requests to the front disk to have the AC fixed. The response is always, “We hope that the AC will be fixed today.” Hopes and prayers, y’all. Our room, upgraded from a basic domicile, is barely large enough for two people and their luggage. The closet space is minimal, and you can’t hang a suit jacket without it touching the.bottom of the closet. This is a dorm room or a youth hostel, not a hotel. Furthermore, our upgraded room is on the back of the hotel, with a view of a concrete wall. Charming… And then there’s the smell of sewerage that permeates not only our room, but the rooms of our colleagues. Funky and nasty, to say the least. The breakfasts are barely adequate. The soggy tortilla, the most typical dish in Spain, is inedible. Really? If you are planning to visit Burgos, one of the preeminent smaller towns in Spain, with the most impressive cathedral in the country, please do yourself a favor and don’t stay at this sinkhole of a hotel. There are plenty of better affordable options. The hotel has the nerve to call itself a four-star operation. It’s a two-star hotel at best, and given our experience, it’s actually a one-star establishment. Avoid at all costs.

PPengguna TetamuTravelled from Madrid to watch Malaga play Burgos and arrived after a brisk walk from the station. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a room on the top floor. It was very nice with fantastic views of Burgos in the snow. Had an excellent and very reasonably priced breakfast the next day, before checking out. Traditional Spanish hotel which I loved, in a great position and perfect for El Plantio, will definitely return.
