Spent a few nights here with friends recently. Check in was smooth with a very friendly Aoife . Room was a good size , very comfortable beds and a spotless bathroom with bath and rain shower . The bar food was tasty and reasonably priced , the service was fast and efficient and we did not feel in any way rushed . The staff were friendly and smiling . Plenty of choice for breakfast . We will be back !

I have been staying at this hostel since December 22nd, and everything has been very nice, good and clean rooms with nice bunks and the hostel includes a good breakfast. Then at 02:40 on December 27th four young drunk men came bursting into my room with laughter and noise and turned on all the lights, they had obviously been out partying but they did not stop partying when they entered the room, and they used the toilets all the time and made a lot of noise. I became quite upset about this, but I was concerned for my safety if I said anything, so I left the room for over an hour, when I came back to the room those four drunk men were snoring and breathing heavily so I could not get any sleep for the rest of the night. The following day I complained to the reception about this inconsideration. Jessica, the manager of the hostel took matters into her own hands and told me she would make a note about those men for the future. Jessica also put me into a new room where I would be alone for my last night at the hostel so I could sleep well without anybody disturbing me. This is what I call good service and Jessica went beyond her duties to compensate me for this inconvenience and that should be rewarded.

Plenty of car parking Nice outside area to enjoy a drink or meal A good breakfast It’s a €15 ride into city centre Front desk were ok on check in - not exactly welcoming and all a bit robotic Typical business hotel with banging doors starting at around 7am The shower towels are the size of large hand towels which is always a disappointment when staying at a hotel The bar/eating area smells very strongly of cooking/frying in the evening which means that the kitchen needs better ventilation Not a bad stay but just a very modern faceless hotel

PPengguna TetamuWhat a lovely location, a gorgeous hotel and the swimming pool was great with the added bonus of an outside hot tub overlooking the sea. My room was 631 with a large king bed, desks, adequate bathroom with bath and shower, seats with table, desk and TV and all the usual facilities in a hotel room. No sockets by the bed though which is something all hotels need to have now but that was the only criticism of the room.
Staff where lovely, helpful and friendly although I give 4 stars as check-in didnt happen for 10 minutes due to no staff being at the reception, no idea why but it got sorted OK.
The hotel is clean, the room was clean, well presented and very welcoming. I had breakfast which was the normal cooked breakfast buffet, toasts, pancakes, breads, cereals, tea or coffee, juices with plenty of seating options and a view of the sea. The staff were great, the food was good and the atmosphere relaxed. The view gives you a great start to the day.
I used the pool which was great. Some families there with kids, a swimming lane, working steam room, sauna and heated jacuzzi. The outside hottub is amazing. It is a must do at this hotel. It was raiing on my stay so the outside tennis court and kids play area werent being used but its worth a mention that they have these.
Location feels remote but its only 5-10 minutes from Salthill and Galway by car. There is a petrol station beside the hotel on the main road and a small village. I guess you access the hotel by car, taxi or bus.

TTravelin_BensWe had a very nice time at the Hyde Hotel in Galway. It is very centrally located which was helpful for anyone without a car. It was also just a 3 minute walk from the train station, which was very convenient. All the staff was very helpful, gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We got the Bed and Breakfast option, and it was definitely worth it. Their breakfast was delicious, we especially liked the pancakes. Our only slight disappointment was that our room did not have A/C, but the window did open to get fresh air and they had a fan in our room which helped. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Galway.

PPengguna Tetamu Welcoming service at check in, a beautiful hotel just from the lobby and into our lovely room, both spacious and modern. With lovely comfortable beds and very soft pillows. Great shower no problem with hot water as well as plenty of clean, fluffy towels. We also ordered a fridge which was very handy with the warm weather. Very good WIFI .My only problem with the room was I would prefer lockers instead of drawer-less tables and instead of open cabinet . Not great storage without drawers, as the only one was in the bathroom. The food is this hotel is the best food we have had in all our hotel breaks in Galway. The choice for breakfast is very good but their dinner menu is great and there is great choice for everyone no matter what your food choice might be, with vegetarian and vegan options also. The staff through out the whole hotel are lovely and very helpful, especially Chinma who was so helpful during our meals in the evening. The standard of how clean this hotel is the best I have seen in all my stays in Galway, thank you for a lovely stay as we will be back.

SSightseer52655227986I really wanted to rate this hotel a little higher, perhaps 3.5 stars. The PROS: 1. Great location, not far from the bus and train stations and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and pubs. 2. The hotel itself has a nice pub; a great place to stop in for a drink or snack, with an Irish band certain days of the week. A shout out to Zed and Tina at the bar. 3. Our room was spacious and clean. CONS: 1. The hotel is a little worn around the edges, and the beds and pillows were not all that comfortable for us. I heard that renovations are in the works to expand the reception area and hopefully the rooms will be renovated as well. 2. Housekeeping was inconsistent. One day we did not get new coffee packets and cream; another day the dirty glasses and coffee cups were not taken away and replaced by new ones. We realize that these things happen, but when we took our dirty dishes to reception there was no apology or offer to fix the problem and in fact we were given a lame excuse along the lines of ‘maybe housekeeping thought we wanted to keep the used cups” (with dried coffe in them?) and we were told to carry our dirty cups and glasses to the bar and get new ones from them ourselves. In fact, the hotel seemed to be staffed mainly with young inexperienced people who definitely could use more training in the area of customer service. We had some other issues with service and for this reason the rating cannot be a 4. I’m not sure I would stay again, unless changes are made.

CChloeThe hotel was lovely, the room was very clean and cosy. The food was amazing. And the staff were all fantastic, so friendly and helpful - especially Ross at reception! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be staying here again!! :)
