Sibton White Horse Inn

Very good restaurant meal: original menu, well cooked and served. Staff very friendly and efficient. Good value. If I lived locally, I would be going there a lot! The desserts were particularly interesting - nothing weird, just nicely alternative to the usual fare offered on pub menus. Well done to all concerned.

We have just had another wonderful stay at the White Horse. Neil and Gill are superb hosts as are all the wonderful, friendly staff. Good to see them all still there. Yet again the food was top notch. There was plenty of choice for dinner for our 5 night stay and for breakfast there was plenty to choose from too. We stayed in room 5 which has a very comfortable double bed, bath with shower over and a separate dressing room. Very clean and comfortable and quiet too. If you are looking for comfortable accommodation and good food this is the place to stay.

I realise that people follow my reviews so I wil probably never find a vacancy for another visit! The whole experience was superb from the start to the end. A great welcome, an immaculately prepared room which had great facilities including a bath/shower and lovely provisions that were replaced daily. The Breakfast was a great pleasure with so many superbly cooked and presented dishes and their own bread. If you enjoy Real Ale in good condition then this is the pub for you. The food in the restaurant is superb in presentation taste and service. The simple olive oil with balsamic vinegar was so good due to their home-baked bread. All the staff were a delight but especially the hard-working landlord If subjected to an Offstead inspection the White Horse Inn would be awarded a 1 Outstanding rating. :-)

A warm and friendly welcome, topping a delicious lunch. A window seat, but still near the fire? Three amazing courses? Adnams on tap? A surprise birthday candle and jaunty tune on my wife’s birthday? Marvellous. A hidden gem just off the A12, with fine food, wines, rooms and camping.

We decided to go to Suffolk for New Year’s Eve and had the perfect break. Southwold was 15 mins away as was Minsmere, The White Horse is a beautiful old pub just outside Saxmundham and full of character and charm. The staff are great and the food is excellent, cooked by manager and chef Neil and the team. The accommodation is first class and the rooms spacious and well priced. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Although we have eaten here many times this was our first overnight stay. The room is among the best we have had with ample storage, comfortable furniture which fits the room perfectly and most importantly an excellent memory foam mattress. Spotless, warm and quiet. Neil and Gill are lovely people who clearly enjoy hosting their guests. Neil cooks a wicked breakfast and the fresh fruit salad really was fresh and not tinned. They have high standards and are quite rightly discerning about their clientele. So refreshing to find a place that cares about quality over quantity.

Just back home after our 6th visit to the wonderful White Horse Inn in Sibton. I think to stay that many times says something. It never fails to deliver on accommodation and excellent food. Neil and Gill are one of the hardest working couples running a pub. The staff too are so friendly and caring. We stayed in room 3 which was furnished just right. The bed was very comfy and the room cosy warm in a November month. The food is on an another level compared to todays standard pub food. I’m sure it’s not too far from a Michelin star quality and has won awards for its food before now. Excellent choice of ales and wines on offer. The pub has a really nice atmosphere with a log burner in the bar area which was welcome during our stay. Just read the other reviews on here and I’m sure you will be assured of choosing the White Horse for your stay. Excellent base for exploring the area with RSPB Minsmere not far away at all. Aldeburgh which is a charming seaside town is only 20 mins drive from here. Thanks to Neil&Gill for another awesome stay. See you again soon.

We had a 3 night stay on a half board basis.Room 5 spotlessly clean. Excellent food. Neil and Gill were perfect hosts and the service was very professional. Our first visit to the White Horse - it will not be our last
