"This was a great place to stay when visiting Sigiriya Rock and going on an elephant safari at Minneriya. I stayed as part of a group tour but would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Beautiful location in forest, a short drive from Sigiriya. The rooms were lodge style, on either upper or lower floors. The bar and restaurant area was open. The buffet evening meal was excellent and it was great to have live music entertainment. Highly recommend."

"A beautiful hotel, that looks like a nature preserve. The 30 rooms are set, in between waterbodies/ lilly ponds and rice paddy fields with birds including peacocks and egrets. You also have a view of the Sigiria rock. The villas are spacious, the staff are attentive , the restaurant serves a wide variety of Srilankan and western cusine. Would highly recommend this hotel for luxurious nature experience.. Our server Kasun and our butler Dilmeet were exceptional. The spa experience was good as well."

"Don't book this hotel, they are scammers! When I arrived at the hotel, they told me that there were no rooms, and they resold me to another small hotel. From the reviews, I know that they are repeat offenders. I don't understand why the Ctrip platform didn't deal with it. They said there was a problem with the room, but it still showed that there were rooms online, and they didn't mention that there were no rooms when I called to inquire before arriving. It was a deliberate deception. If travel time was not precious, I really wanted to argue with them. The conditions of the small hotel they resold were much worse, and I couldn't even take a hot shower. Scammers!"

"Daniele and me stayed for 2 night in Back of Beyond Jungle in the Tree House. This is a particular accomodation because u have just a rooftop without walls around; this make you able to have a very immersive experience in the nature. Food was very nice all made at the moment offering nice Sri Lankan food option too. As wildlife photographer we arranged 2 private nocturnal safari in the in the surrounding countryside and forests of Sigiriya. We have to say thank you to our guides Induwara, Ananda and Janaka that accompained us during an immersive 5 hours of night safari from 9 pm to 2 am (we booked a private safari as wildlife photographer, but the arrange also daily group safari for hotel guests). During this experience we could spot also the elusive grey slander Loris and the rare Fishing cat. Thank you Induwara, Ananda and Janaka you give us the chance to have great pictures of notcturnal wildlife in Sigiriya."

"This place is great! Conveniently located for Lion Rock and Pidurangula. Fantastic views of Lion rock lit up by the setting sun in the evening from the pool where you can enjoy an end of day drink. Our 1st floor (air-conditioned) balcony room was clean and fresh and very relaxing. The food was good and the owners were extremely helpful without being pushy in any way. Everything they organised for us went very well including a half day safari and a tour of Polonnaruwa. We stayed for 3 nights and although we have met some really nice, helpful people in Sri Lanka, I felt the low key yet highly efficient and well organised way the owners looked after us was really impressive."

"Worst experience ever. To avoid any cost. Rooms worn down and dirty with a lot of mould on the walls. Swimming pool and broken tiles., Changing room at the pool, restoring for chemicals and cleaning stuff. Mosquito nets dirty with holes. Booked for two nights left after the first one stay there only because it was too late to find another hotel."
