Hotel berhampiran Heroes, Simi Valley

The Residence Inn in Westlake Village is quite nice since finishing a total renovation. The rooms are nicely appointed and all flooring, paint, furniture and amenities have been all redone and are new! The staff is friendly and attentive and there is plenty of parking around the facility. We did have a minor issue arise and Bailey and Mr. Huerta the GM were not only professional and courteous but quite gracious in resolving the issue and finding an expedient solution. The pool area, workout center and all other amenities including the breakfast buffet in the morning are all a plus. Conveniently located off of the 101 frwy and near many stores, restaurants and local attractions. The Lure Fish House and Cici's are just a few of the excellent eateries next door. The in room TV includes internet access to streaming and Showtime is included in the programming. This is one of our favorite places to stay in Ventura County and the new renovated facility places it on top... Highly recommended

I was so pleased with the facilities - very unique layout of the hotel, kind of a fun and mysterious experience to explore the property and gain my bearings. I get a little tired of the typical hotel layout - it's always exciting to get a unique setup like this one. The hotel has been in business since 1969 but has obviously been completely redone, probably multiple times since then because it feels so fresh and new. There wasn't anything that felt old or stale - the entire room felt so clean and new, I highly recommend for germaphobes like myself. I felt very comfortable here. More than anything, I was so moved by the customer service. Being a semi-frequent guest of hotels all over, I've come to learn that lowering my expectations before checking in at most places will prepare me for the inevitable disappointment - haha. BUT this was not the case here - the gentleman who checked me in was beyond friendly and helpful, I felt so touched by the personal effort he clearly put into ensuring my check-in experience was special. I will remember that for a long time. The lady who assisted me in the evening with a small purchase in the lobby and adding my rewards number to the reservation was also very friendly and not in a forced or ingrnuine way. I truly felt her kindness, both, through the phone, and over the counter. She went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a guest/customer and associates like her and her coworker who checked me in just don't go easily forgotten in my book. The guest service and unique experience you're sure to have when you stay here are what set this hotel apart from the rest. I absolutely recommend if you're in the area. What a lovely place for anyone to come visit but still feel right at home. :)

This hotel is very nice and clean — the room was beautiful and a nice view of pool. The room was huge and I loved it!

Been staying at the holiday inn express for about 3 days now and I absolutely love this place. Not only is the hotel nice and clean but the staff are amazing. They are very helpful and just welcoming. They have breakfast here every morning. The vibes you get off this place is something everyone looks for. The room are nice and big and comfortable. LOVE THE BEDS!!!😍.

We always stay here when we're in town absolutely clean and the staff is so nice. Not to mention the breakfast isn't to bad either...

The area felt safe, staff was great and room was worth what it cost. The only thing I did love is the sink in a room backed up and stuff came out of it and dried up inside. I had to clean the sink twice because it looked the same after room service came in the next day. Overall stay was great and the drive to go anywhere was beautiful.

I believe that I have said a lot already.It might be continuing to repeat what I have already, h said, however, I will add that such a well organized staff shows efficient, professional and knowledgeable guidance and support. I am not sure why this has so many 4-5 star reviews. I stayed there on business for two nights in October. This hotel was just okay. Not sure if it's because I normally stay at Marriott hotels and this one paled in comparison to the others. Parking is $10 a night although it really shares a parking lot with a ***** mall. Even if you don't park on the site, you will still get charged so watch out for that. Breakfast is $10 also I believe. No evening reception. There is a bar that looks pretty nice although only a few people took advantage of that. Maybe it was because I was staying mid-week. The pool also looked nice but being cooler, I did not take advantage of that. 1) The front desk clerk, although seemingly nice, was kind of curt when he spoke; 2) The room seemed a bit dated and the hallway and room smelled a little like bleach. It was weird, 3) Couldn't figure out the TV. 4) Toilet continued to run even though we are in a drought, 5) The shower - on my goodness. I think it's part of the water-saving efforts but the showerhead was one that the holes were limited to a 1-inch diameter spray. When the water came out, it actually hurt, lol. Do not let the water hit your bits. It will be painful. I had to stand to the side of the water spray in order to avoid this. It was a good price to stay though and centrally located to where I needed to be. Lots or restaurants close by - Italian, American, Japanese, etc. The front desk clerk was responsive though when my keycard was not working. He ran right up and gave me new ones. I was surprised at how fast this happened. Overall, it was an okay stay. Not my best Marriott stay but not horrible either.

While there is a lot to recommend this new hotel, not everything is fully worked out. On the positive side, service by nearly all the staff was excellent. Being new, it has a modern fresh feel to it. Rooms are good size and well laid out Very important in LA, parking is free. It is in a residential area, very close to shopping and Porter Ranch. Housekeeping not yet been figured out. Even though it was just opened, they've reverted to the COVID habit of not making up rooms during the stay. With Marriott status, they may make up the room. During our stay, they made up the room twice and missed the third time. Also, a pile of dirty towels and a bag of trash was left in the hallway for more than 36 hours. Even after it was reported to the front desk on the first day. Notwithstanding, this hotel is still recommended.

We choose this place because we needed a hotel to stay at that we knew had truck park near Port Hueneme. Although they don't actually have truck parking...we park on the side street and had to walk a bit to the hotel. Which was fine. I feel like best western tried to crew me over on this trip. On the best western website it stated one night started at 140. But when I talked to the clerk he was able to get it down to 124 that night. I'm thankful of. Unfortunately the clerk did not recognize that we were a rewards members and didnt give us anything like best western do. Most just give you free water. The room was nice and clean very spacious for just one queen bed. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice. Water pressure was good with hot water. Breakfast was from 6-9am. They hot waffels...oatmeal..yogurt. yummy hot food like eggs.. bacon...sausage and potatoes it was a nice stay
