I had a two night stay from 17 to 19 Jul 2021, and it was a pleasant one. Love the lobby and room design, especially the pink reception counter!
Checked in around 4.30pm and was attended by Michael. As I previously asked for king size bed, Michael informed me that no room was available and it will be ready by 5.30pm. Was upgraded to PARKROYAL Club Deluxe Room (room only) and late check out at 2.30pm, hence no problem. Thought of just hanging around at the lobby to pass time, Michael was kind to offer me a drink at their Club 5. Had their Nasi Lema'rgrita, tasted very local and unique.
5 mins into reaching the room, Michael intercom to ensure everything was okay. Just happened that the electricity was all cut off within 30s of inserting the room key into slot. Tried it for 5 times and it was still the same, Michael sent a maintenance colleague over to check. Another call came to check again if it was all okay again. Received a birthday cake later that evening, and a call follow shortly after. On 18th, another colleague also called to check if everything was okay as I put the 'do not disturb' sign. Thank you team for the frequent follow up, well done!
I really enjoyed my stay here, and look forward to coming again.

Check-in at 4:30pm was smooth. Room was OK but with old furniture smell. Breakfast is awesome but waiting time is slow and the food bit lukewarm for both nasi lemak and mee siam. Others, nothing special as expected from 4 star's hotel.

Nice club room with great service. Attentive and friendly staffs. Food taste good as well! Gym, spa and swimming pool with great view! Very highly recommended!

Club lounge was closed due to covid. The staff did a pushcart service to bring around the drinks and food. They came by 3 rounds for drinks each night. A maximum of 4 drinks per round.
Hotel breakfast - 1 main serving per pax. Fruits / toast bread / cereal can be re ordered.

Parkroyal at beach road is a vintage hotel that has accompanied singapore in its nation building since the 1970s. Location was excellent as its a 5 minutes walk from. Nicole Highway MRT Station and the famous beach road market. What I like about the hotel is its vintage lobby that gives a retro and homely feel. It is different from other hotels. There are also a few giant telebears on the lobby sofa which is a gem to entertain kids and add to its warm ambience.
The room is big and well furnished. The bed is also firm. The only few areas to improve is perhaps the outside of the windows look dusty and some of the cable TV menu is different from the actual channels. Example channel 14 was written on the guide as fox movies. But the actual channel was HBO.
Due to covid restrictions, I order in room breakfast. The purple rice cray fish nasi lemak is one of the best I have eaten, definitely a dish I will strongly recommend. The only area to improve was the lukewarm coffee which could have been warmer.
Overall the experience was good. The other gem was the chinese restaurant Si Chuan Dou Hua. The soya bean drink is rich and little or no sugar. I will love to stay there for staycation again.
