We loved our stay. We were nervous because previous reviews said the furniture and carpets needed replacement. Not true! The ambiance they are going for is a rustic cabin or fishing lodge. As far as I could tell, just one chair in each room is „distressed“ meaning the chair was new but had been beat up to make it look old. The breakfast was very good. I‘ve never seen croissants at a hotel breakfast before. We especially appreciated that the rooms were truly clean-no stray hairs or flecks of junk to try to ignore. I thought the beds were perfect while my husband said they were a little too firm.

Great place. We often stay here when we visit family in Sioux City. Great facility and staff. Breakfast spread is wonderful.

I'll start this review by saying that I have stayed here before, and I have given this property an excellent review. The property and the management have gone downhill in the last 2 years. The room's need maintenance. the hot tub is missing many tiles.
There were many families staying at this property. which are fine, But the management did not control what was going on. There were at least 20 unsupervised preteens running in the halls, there were also at least 40 unsupervised children in the pool area and very small children in the hot tub, front desk staff did nothing to take control of the situation. There were never any pool towels.They have went to multi-use containers for shampoo and conditioner, but there was no hand soap available in the room, and they dudnt have any when we asked. There were no extra towels. the beds are tired, and need to be replaced. The furniture is very warn and in need of repair.
The only good thing I can say was the bar was very nice and the bartender was quite attentive. Nothing else was up to the standard that the Stony creek should have or allow. We will not stay again unfortunately.

The ladies at the front desk were super friendly and took good care of us. The room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The whirlpool tub was big and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay!

We have stayed the last two weekends the service is great. The ladies that have been at the front desk have been pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are run down, you can tell they are not getting cleaned properly, toe nail clippings on the floor, mold around the drain spout on the whirlpool, rips in the furniture, show drain was full of hair. Wall paper is ripped in spots and peeling off the walls. Seam tape on the ceilings are coming off. They was no soaps or lotions left (not really a big deal). These rooms are over priced Super 8 rooms. I have stayed in what one would think are subpar hotels that were better. Very outdated rooms.

Used to be top class, we've been here several times since it opened...now its worn & shows signs of aging...for the price, we'll be going elsewhere from now on

Check in was smooth, Couldn’t get much sleep walls are so thin u can hear the people next door snoring and kids all hours of the night out in pool screaming! Even with ac on the room felt like it was a sauna…

The breakfast is average. There was no coffee in the breakfast room although there was in the lobby. The attendant was not very attentive.
The bed was hard with a balled up comforter.
Since I was there for 3 nights, i asked for a view... it was a parking garage.
