Villa di Syracuse

The room is decent for a city hotel, catering more towards business travellers. The hotel is conveniently located, a 30-minute walk to Ortigia's island city but less than 5 minutes from the Archaeological Park of Neapolis. Getting to Ortigia is easy via a quick ride on the red bus costing just €1.50, payable to the driver. The reception is notably friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, offering a brilliant variety of food and drinks. Additionally, there is a large supermarket around the corner of the hotel. Parking is free.

It’s fantastic experience because of the nice staff of this lovely hotel , the location is great , very convenient to go anywhere by foot , the most important is the reception is so kind and helpful , they contact you before you arrive in case you need any help . Not only the staff are great , but also the decoration of the room is wonderful as well , very clean and comfortable , I spent my two nights happily there , great !

This is the hotel where we stayed. The building outside appears to be an old historic building, but inside staffs are very cooperative. Our check-in was very smooth. The staff tried helping us. Continental breakfast was nice. There was no English channel on the TV, so that forced us to learn some local Italian languages such as Grazie, Prego, etc. The hotel is within walking distance from the train and bus station. If I visit Siracusa again, then I will stay there.

Our second stop on our two week Sicily vacation. Location was perfect, ten minutes walk from train station and ten minutes to the great sights and restaurants in Ortigia. First of all the negative part of my review which is why I didn't give it five stars, the check in was not very welcoming at all infact I would say frosty, there was no real communication and I was convinced I was going to be told I had no reservation. Luckily we did have a room which was perfect, lovely big bed, nice sized room, and great bathroom, cleaned immaculately each day. Breakfast was great mixed selection of hot, cold and sweet things, staff were friendly and courteous, lovely breakfast room very relaxing indeed. Negative was poor wi-fi Check out was different to check in, quick, easy and lovely pleasant guy on reception.

聖誕前夕，受美國著名旅遊作家Rick Steves影響，我們到了Ortea。Ortea小島是西西裏最值得逗留的地方之一。風光旖旎，整潔乾淨。諸多相當水準的西西裏海鮮餐廳充盈小島。Ortea Luxury Palace(奧爾塔奢華酒店)名不虛傳，位置、設施一流，酒店工作人員服務態度也不錯，熱情大方，有求必應，印象極佳。

We spent 10 days in Sicily and decided to book 4 days at The Grand Hotel Ortigia over Christmas. It was a great decision. Ortigia takes Christmas seriously with great street and shop decorations and most of the restaurants are still open throughout the holiday. In the hotel we had a room with a sea view, and if you can afford the upgrade it’s really worth it, watching the activity in the harbour and on the sea front is fascinating. The Grand offered a seriously good Christmas lunch served by a great team of staff in the rooftop restaurant - excellent fish courses, with wines, with an unhurried service. Just brilliant. If a Christmas trip to Sicily is in your plans I can’t recommend The Grand highly enough.
