Amazing hotel, on a perfect location! Room was extraordinary nice, you can feel that you are in Italian villa. Bad was so comfortable, we slept like babies. Breakfast was fabulous, with various food, drinks and good quality of everything! Staff were also great, they wanted to help. My boyfriend proposed me, and this amazing trip will forever be my favorite!

The Villa Cortine Palace Hotel is a beautiful property, and the grounds are incredibly spectacular, from the gated entrance that passes a magnificent fountain to the lakes edge. The views from our room were gorgeous and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel staff was also wonderful and very accommodating.. They drove us by golf cart to the city center on several occasions during our 4-day stay as my mobility is limited due to a recent surgery. Although I gave Villa Cortine a 5-star review, the concierge team, for us, missed the mark. For lunch and dinner reservations, I emphasized with several members that we were interested in restaurants with a lake view and ambiance. A nice menu was important, but we were at Lake Garda to view the natural beauty of the lake and surrounding areas. Our first night's restaurant for dinner was highly recommended by the hotel. Our view was of a stone wall on a narrow street; the lake was nowhere in sight. The menu was good, and our waiter was wonderful, but the ambiance was 2-3 stars at best. Our table was in a cramped corner, and the flooring was worn artificial grass. After another disappointing restaurant suggestion for lunch the next day, we canceled the other restaurant reservations we made with the concierge desk and deferred to Trip Advisor's restaurant recommendations. We were MUCH more pleased. The ambiance of the hotel's breakfast area and the breakfast buffet, however, were excellent, and the staff was great. We also wanted to take a professional 1/2 day guided tour of the Lake Garda area with a guide and driver. The concierge desk recommended a gentleman who was very, very nice and his Mercedes ride was outstanding, however, our driver's English was extremely limited, which made it very difficult to ask questions and get answers that we could understand. We wish we had taken the small 8-10-person, 4½ hour guided tour offered on Trip Advisor and Viator. The Villa Cotine seemed to have their own agenda regarding reservations and tours, and our guidelines were either misunderstood or disregarded. With those comments made, the Villa Cortine Palace was still a wonderful experience, and I would stay there again. If a 4½ rating was possible on this site, I would have rated Villa Cortine slightly less than a 5. Although it was not a perfect 5-star experience for us, it may possibly be for you.

Our second stop in our Summer holidays was very rich in Villa Cortin Palace Hotel. Beautiful old palace that was converted to a hotel that is very well kept. The simplicity of the staff and their candid care for their guests were memorable. The views from the different angles in the property of Lake Garda were breathtaking taking. Walking into town was a rich experience. Food was delicious and we enjoyed every bit of it.

I was hesitant to book after reading mixed reviews but overall we had a wonderful three night stay. Pros 1. Stunning hotel and peaceful/ extensive grounds with panoramic views of the lake on both sides. 2. Very friendly and professional staff (big shout out in particular to reception, valets and pool guys). 3. Wonderful food (particularly breakfast). We also enjoyed Maria Callas American Bar and Restaurant - open all day, great food, service and reasonable prices. The concierge also recommended some excellent restaurants in Sirmione. 4. Loved the pool and pontoon. 5. We enjoyed activities - bike rides, boat trip and strolling around Sirmione. Cons 1. Sirmione is very busy at this time of year so driving through the crowds in the Old Town is a little challenging - the smaller the car the better! 2. Minor irritants in room (Junior Suite) - small shower (which did not drain well), poor WiFi, no international TV channels and no beer in the minibar! But otherwise beautiful, spacious, clean and very comfortable bed.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! The location is excellent near the tip of the Sirmione peninsula. The hotel is in the restricted zone for cars in Sirmione, however the effort to get there is well worth it. The hotel is within a huge private park, sealed off from the general public with security gates, and once you drive inside, you are entering another world. You feel like the king of the castle. Driving up the long path to the hotel is an experience in itself. Lush gardens, kept immaculately with fountains and statues everywhere. The service staff are excellent, friendly and always smiling. We had a suite overlooking one part of Lake Garda and parts of the lush gardens. The property is huge. The breakfast terrace next to the wonderful pool is enormous, and the breakfast offerings excellent and plentiful, and delicious. Facilities also include tennis, or just meandering through the palatial park, with many outdoor areas for sitting and reading, or just enjoying a drink or coffee. You will not need your car once it is parked within the hotel grounds, and there is a security gate at the back of the property which allows easy walking access down to the main part of the town, with a multitude of bars, restaurants, shops, sightseeing and don't forget the myriad places to get a gelato. Lots to do and see. We found the hotel very reasonably priced and good value for our 3-night stay. We had the most wonderful stay here and would not hesitate to return. This is a WOW place. For us it was a seven-star experience.

The only disappointment in staying here was that we only stayed 3 nights. The grounds were exquisite: Beautiful views of Lake Garda; Statues; Fountains and lush vegetation throughout the property. From beginning to end, this hotel was exceptional. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the terrace: the food, weather and sunset were perfect. The breakfast buffet was over-the-top: Eggs made-to-order and a tremendous selection of fruits, meats, pastries, and more. The staff was very pleasant and the housekeeping staff maintained our room with impeccable service twice a day. We will be returning!

Nice hotel, super beautiful garden, above average food (not super excellent as you would expect here) BUT very disappointing experience! We have ordered the most expensive room with a rate of 1000EUR/night from which 300EUR/night was for the jacuzzi included. Jacuzzi was however very cold and simply did not work. The explanation was that there was too cold outside for this jacuzzi and therefore need higher temperature so that it works properly. Very original explanation which basically means that the jacuzzi works only in the summer :) At this point one would expect that they refund you 300EUR/night without any discussion however after 4 weeks of waiting I was offered a voucher with the explanation that they are not able to refund you the money. THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN IN THE MOST LUXURY AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE HOTEL IN THE AREA WITH RATE of 1000EUR/NIGHT! Enjoy the hotel, don't pay for the jacuzzi which is useless and in case of any problem you will be offered voucher and not refund.

A beautiful hotel set in incredible grounds and although we stayed in a basic room without a balcony it still had an amazing view, beautiful luxurious bed linen and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic, we also ate lunch when we arrived and both pasta dishes were delicious. On the whole the staff were fantastic not sure if someone on the front desk was having a bad day when we arrived but I found them the least helpful we had booked a boat ride through the hotel prior to our stay and I had to ask them twice what the arrangements were for it. They didn’t tell us where we were to have breakfast the following morning or give any information about the pool and pool towels. If I were to give one criticism it would be the plastic drinking glasses left in the room for water and in the bathroom, not what I’d expect at this level of a hotel.

What a nightmare! Turned off air conditioning during our entire stay (7 days out of 9) , and we had to keep windows closed because of lots of mosquitoes willing to enter. Room temperature reached 30°C (85°F) at night as a consequence. Couldn’t sleep well during our entire stay. Management offered a bigger room, which was much nicer, but problem persisted, of course The property is beautifully, well maintained, well located, and breakfast is good. As a compensation, air conditioning doesn’t work, there’re mosquitoes, flies, bees all over, and some employees (not all of them), won’t give a s… about you.
