This was the third or fourth time that we have stayed at the Hotel Tivoli which indicates how much we enjoy staying there - a lovely privately owned hotel located in a quiet square with secure underground parking - the young man at Reception was 1st class and so helpful and pleasant (even though he couldn't speak much English) - evening meals are no longer available in the Restaurant, but breakfast is superb - I suffer from slight claustrophobia, so we always book the Superior Room at the rear of the hotel which is huge and beautifully appointed - highly recommended !

We stayed in Le Tivoli for 3 nights. It’s a small hotel in great location, close to the citadel and the old town. We arrived on Sunday out with the working hours of the hotel and had to make a call to check in. Sebastian arrived shortly, checked us in, helped to carry the suitcase to the second floor and gave a useful recommendation on a restaurant round the corner -L’Oppidum - which we loved so much that we happened to go there 3 times during our short stay for lunches and dinner. The rooms are small, but ok for a short stay. A couple of hangers but not much space to put our stuff. The main issue we had with the hotel was the absence of air conditioning. On hot June days and nights it was sometimes unbearable. There was probably misunderstanding too with changing the towels. We left ours outside but didn’t get the fresh ones, had to use the small ones for the rest of our stay. The breakfast was ok - there were some scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, juice and coffee. The service was friendly.

Due to the one-way system it took us a little while to find the hotel but it was well worth the effort. We were greeted by a very helpful young man who spoke good English and showed us to our room. This was clean, airy and had everything you could reasonably expect. He then opened the garage so that I could park my motorcycle at no charge. He recommended a restaurant, L’Oppidum, which was excellent (see separate review). Breakfast was fine but a couple of items ran out and I had to find someone to replenish them. When I did that was done quickly but they should be keeping an eye on that.

Claustrophobically small room. Impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom. It hasn’t been cleaned under the bed for a while. No AC but a ventilator. Friendly and healthful staff.

Ultra clean with new furniture. We were put in a room with a view of the citadel. Good location just out of the center and across the street from a public parking lot. I would stay here again.

Nous sommes arrivés tard, après une route éprouvante, à 4. Et le tivoli a eut la gentillesse de nous ouvrir 2 chambre en derniere minute. Bonne literie, calme, accueil excellent comme d´habitude. Merci à l´équipe et au nouveau cuisinier. ..

Même en réservant 8 jours à l’avance et habitués à avoir la chambre 15 (chambre à 2 lits), avons été très déçus des prestations de la chambre 22 à 85€ la nuitée qui nous avait été allouée par la patronne : lit trop petit, TV sans sonorité (télécommande cassée), gel douche inexistant.

Excellent hôtel 2 étoiles. Grande chambre contemporaine, très bonne literie, grande salle de douche. Grand frigo style table top : pratique l'été quand il fait chaud. Excellent petit déjeuner digne d'un 3 étoiles. Personnel et/ou gérant sympathique. Hotel bien situé proche Citadelle et centre-ville. Je recommande.
