We loved this hotel the view was exceptional and clean to a really high standard. Staff all fantastic All facilities were good and beach area always available as well as the pools. Breakfast was good and if you wanted something that wasn’t there they were very accommodating

Had a lovely week here in early August. My overall impression was very good. Positives 1. The staff are really friendly and are always happy to help 2. The setting is amazing with it being on the beach. 3. The rooms are ok and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms were adequate and came with complimentary shower gel and shampoo. 4. The breakfast was ok, plenty of choice. 5. The food in the restaurants was well prepared and presented. 6. We always managed to get a sun lounger around the pool, and the pool area was nice and quiet without music which I liked. Negatives 1. The food was expensive in all the restaurants, while good quality at least 20 percent more than the restaurants in the town. The restaurants at the hotel were empty every night and lacked atmosphere which was probably due to the high prices. An opportunity lost for the hotel especially as there were always lots of staff with nothing to do. Menus were limited with very little choice for kids. 2. Drinks were too expensive, 9 euro for a glass of house wine seemed excessive and 6 euro for a beer which wasn't great. A little bit cheaper on those and we would have stayed in the complex more often. 3. The manager or owner kept coming out to the pool area and shouting at the staff. While I'm sure he felt he needed to flex his ego every now and then doing it in front of 50 customers isn't a good way of managing your staff or portraying a high end hotel image.

Currently half way through a week at Kassandra bay, with no negatives whatsoever. The hotel is quietly classy, without being ostentatious at all. Everything is scrupulously clean ( sun beds and parasols are a pristine white ) and well appointed. There are 3 saltwater pools ( one is for suite guests ) all with very efficient waiter service, ( call bell on parasol ) Worth noting, the hotel states that sun loungers are not to be reserved, and this appears to be adhered to by all guests ( a very welcome change ) We are staying in a duplex room with mezzanine bedroom and separate bathroom, ideal if you have children. Bathrooms are very modern and well appointed. Large balcony with absolutely stunning views to Skiathos town. The hotel is fairly quiet, and there is always ample space around the pools and in the restaurants- it never appears cluttered or busy. Entertainment very low key, occasionally music in the bar- thankfully, no Mr&Mrs competition etc etc. We booked some time ago, and this was on a HB basis, the hotel has since changed to BB only. If your original booking was HB, you’re in luck- you now have an excellent a la carte menu to peruse in the evening- it is really good. Breakfast is still buffet, but good quality. The beach is fine, if a little gritty. There is a beach bar next door, that has excellent views. Turn left out of the hotel ( uphill a bit ) and there is a lovely beach with several gorgeous bars/restaurants ( Mojo is beautiful ). The hotel is genuinely well connected, with cheap buses and taxis into Skiathos town. There is also a superb water taxi service from the hotel beach at regular intervals ( 3.5 Euros ) Although it has been stated many times on this forum, it’s worth mentioning just how good the staff are here- they are truly outstanding, without being overbearing or intrusive- an absolute credit. Will definitely return.

We have just returned from getting married which was amazing - the staff and our wedding co-ordinator Konstantina were superb and arranged everything to perfection cannot recommend them enough - also the whole stay was excellent including the hotel itself and the facilities and the views were stunning - we had a sea view room which |I would highly recommend

Amazing hotel! Comfy beds, big and clean rooms, good food and great staff! Close to the city with bars and restaurants (easy access by taxi, taxi boat or bus). The hotel is literally on the beach with clean beach towels every day and sun beds. Saltwater in the pool (I only tried one of the pools) was a highlight. I’m definitely coming back, and I can’t wait for my next vacation here.

On arrival, the hotel was well presented, but there wasn’t a warm welcome by reception staff ;,which I would have expected at a 5 star hotel and although refreshments were available, they were not offered to us . There was no tour given around the hotel to show you the facilities which was slightly disappointing. It was a very nice room with a great view out to sea and the cleaning staff who came every day were fabulous. We did eat in the restaurant once, but there wasn’t a very welcoming reception by staff; however the food was great . Also later on in the holiday we had room service, which was very good. There was a bus stop just outside the hotel which was really convenient and took you in to Skiathos town or take 10 mins or a 30 minute walk , but could also take you around the island . We were hit by storm Daniel mid way through the holiday, which was tough on the hotel, staff and people on holiday! The staff worked really hard to get the the hotel back together, but I do feel guests got a little bit forgotten along the way. The storm had a big impact on our holiday and obviously you can’t help the weather, but I have to say the hotel could have helped a little more in this situation, as there was no communication at all with guests during the storm and we were left not knowing what was going on. Sadly the pools were not usable for the remainder of the holiday and the beach was trashed. The owners wandered around the hotel, but no greetings were given by them at all, yes your hotel has been affected by the weather, but our holiday has been as well ! It’s called hospitality for a reason. I have to say that I would be surprised if there wasn’t any one hurt with pipes and man holes exposed around the hotel . In conclusion it’s in a beautiful location, but there is a lack of warmth and empathy from a lot of the staff, not all, but it comes from the top! I have messaged twice as feel there should be some compensation for our last week holidaying in a war zone, but no reply has been received at all!

This hotel was clean and staff were very friendly couldn’t do enough to please you. The main pool was out of action the whole week we were here. There is no facility’s to make tea and coffee in your room. But I believe you can ask for a kettle at reception. I thought the prices for drinks and food were expensive but there is nowhere else to go unless you take the bus. there are no taverns or shops In walking distance from the hotel you have to get a bus everywhere. The buses are great every 10 minutes . There is a small beachside bar called radi on the beach which was okay for a lunch and reasonable prices. Right outside the hotel you are at bus stop 8 the nearest supermarket is bus stop 5 or 10 at €2 if you go into town you can get of At bus stop 4 and walk down the main streets or if you get of at the terminal you can walk up the streets both are good . Lots of taverns from bus stop 17-20 . Taxes from town are €10. And if you’re thinking of doing the mama Mia tour do it from the boats in the harbour in town far cheaper and very good.

First timers to Skiathos, but unlikely to be our last. This is an exceptional hotel that has exceptional staff. Nothing was too much trouble and all so very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Aggeliki who greeted us and served each morning at breakfast. Friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble for her. An absolute credit to the hotel. Another mention for Yanna (hope that’s how she spells her name) who kept our room spotless and created many presentations with the towels and flowers on the bed each morning. To them both, along with all the other staff, thank you for making us so welcome and making such a positive impact on our stay. After the flood devastation at the beginning of September we did wonder what we would be arriving to. The hotel as well as the main town of Skiathos was very clean and tidy. Little evidence of the floods, however you could see where issues had been. You can see from the 2* review earlier this month, some of the devastation, sadly the is not positive but I will say well said from the general manager in response to the review! A credit to all the locals who were clearly intent on getting as back to normal as quickly as they could. The hotel is well placed and served by a local water taxi from the beachfront to the main town and a local bus service with a stop right at the front of the hotel for the town or the other end of the island to Koukounaries. A lovely selection from the buffet breakfast restaurant and a nice selection of lunchtime snacks available from the bar area. We were bed and breakfast and travelled in to the town where there is a large selection of good restaurants and bars. The hotel is well situated for exploring the island and whilst we did not make use of a number of the facilities it is certainly a hotel to thoroughly recommend. I’m sure all other amenities are up to standard as well. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend and return. One minor negative which didn’t really impact us was the lack of coffee and tea making facilities. Given this is a 5* hotel I would expect these to be provided without an additional charge. Excellent resort and position near beach. Brilliant service and very attentive staff. Thank you. We stayed in suites with pool and terrace which was so relaxing. Our requests were readily attended to. Being there just a short time after the floods the place was spotlessly clean
