The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you).The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.

Excellent stay in this lovely hotel. Staff are superb, really friendly and welcoming. Really go the extra mile for residents. Lovely restful nights sleep and gorgeous breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend a stay in the west cork hotel

As part of a group of Mini enthusiasts driving from Malin to Mizan we had our end stop at the West Cork and we couldn't have been made more welcome. The staff and the proprietor went out of their way to make our final night a pleasure both from food to hospitality. The setting is breathtaking on the banks of the river with crucial to us , ample car parking around the back. Having dinner on the night was delightful and the freshly cooked breakfast in the morning set us up well for our four and a half hour drive home. Thanks again for being a part of making our weekend great.

Beautiful hotel with quality food reasonably priced. Bathroom starting to show some signs of wear but generally a top class hotel overlooking the river. Secure out of the way parking for our motorbikes. Food was a little pricey but worth it for the quality. Staff were all very helpful.

Hotel is an ideal base for visits to West Cork. Staff are extremely helpful and very good. The food is very good and dining area and bar are comfortable. Our room was a little dated but everything you need was available. The room was very warm but radiator was off so just kept window open. However at 7am an extractor fan outside required window to be closed. The sorting of bottles commenced at 9am so that was the end of any sleep. Thankfully we got up to a really good breakfast once again served by super staff. Would definately return but look for a room in a different area of the hotel.

A lovely 3 star hotel overlooking the river. Our room was spacious and recently renovated. The foyer and dining area modern. The breakfast was plentiful and nice the next morning. The only downside was the odour in the hotel, very strong odour of food cooking. But the staff and service very good. I would recommend this hotel

Our Golf Society - The Aghern Society just spent a wonderful weekend in the West Cork Hotel. From start fo finish this stay was 5 star. The management, staff were just out of this world and the attention to detail was just top notch. From the time we booked to the time we left we so well treated.
