Blue Green Bay

Absolutely paradise location, on Panormos Bay. We were extremely lucky to get a refurbished room, which was beautifully done. The views are simply magnificent. The lady on reception is extremely pleasant and helpful and is a credit to the Management at Blue Green Bay. We love it here but there is one thing that is extremely annoying and that the hard core dance music coming from the bar all day long. When you are trying to relax and chill out on the beach or around the pool, it’s really annoying and unnecessary, they should cater for all ages and not constant booming music. I do hope they can address this. Otherwise we love it here, don’t hesitate to book it.

We were looked after by the very efficient manager, Elena and her brilliant staff. The room was well presented and is situated near the pool and bar area. Breakfast was very good and it was only a short stagger to the beach. There are plenty of excellent places to eat nearby and there is a regular bus service with an adjacent stop. Highly recommend this establishment on this stunning island. Oh and Mikey and Costos will look after all your culinary and drinks needs with a smile and friendly style.

Last year this hotel was called “Ionisi”. I hope the new management has fixed some of the key problems. My stay at Ionisi was not worth even 1/3 of the 240 Eu I paid per night. In previous years I have stayed at much cheaper nearby “diamerismata” or “domatia” (rooms) that were far better. The good: Beautiful external architecture, nice pool, lots of beach chairs, very friendly staff The bad: Breakfast ok, not excellent. Could have more hot food (such as fried eggs, *warm* cooked vegetables (instead of at room temperature), higher quality coffee. Room was tiny, no good place to put luggage so it’s usable (could store bag vertically, but this is not practical; could not clothes empty into drawers as there was only ONE TINY drawer per person); had to place luggage on part of bed. It took 10-20 min to get hot water, EVERY time, because we’re (as we were told) at “end of line of hotel rooms”. Broken shower holder; during the first day we discovered this caused flooding in whole bathroom. Linen was put beautifully on bed, but NOT MADE! We had to make the beds ourselves. That’s fine for ultra-cheap hotels but not at 240 Eu per night. And then each day they MOVED everything (luggage etc) ruining our careful organization that was necessitated by the tinyness of the room, apparently so they could create an artistic but useless sheet arrangement! I asked them to please not “make” our room anymore. Safe was too small to hold a laptop. Bedside lamp did not work (inspector checks after room is made but apparently didn’t catch thus, or chose not to have it fixed in time for us).

A lovely small hotel with the best employees, and especially Elena, the manager! The view from the room was outstanding, the pool was lovely and the beach just in front of the hotel, with free sunbeds, was gorgeous! We stayed in a Panorama suite and it was big, clean, newly renovated and had two balconies. The wifi was superb and the breakfast had what you needed. Some minor things around the pool and beach area that could be taken care of, like to get rid of the grass between the sunbeds and fix some planks on the pool deck. The shower at the pool area could also need some love. But it is overall a lovely little hotel in a lovely location! We hope to be back!

Bella location direttamente sulla spiaggia… Elena la responsabile, molto disponibile e attenta a risolverci un problema in camera all arrivo… Colazione abbondante e buona com alcune scelte aggiuntive alla carta (comprese) e ottima vista a pochi passi dal mare..un plus per i lettini in spiaggia disponibili gratuitamente per gli ospiti… unica pecca le camere decisamente piccole e poco insonorizzate dai rumori piscina/strada…

Bella struttura ubicata sulla spiaggia di Panormos, bella camera, silenziosa, pulita con un bel terrazzo, personale attento, disponibile e gentile, ottima colazione, ce ne è per tutti i gusti. Le camere sono a 5 metri dalla piscina e 25 metri dal mare. Vogliamo ringraziare in modo particolare Elena della reception e Maria addetta alle camere per la loro squisita disponibilità
