Palazzo Violetta Boutique Hotel

On arrival I was greeted by Diego and Sunil, really lovely guys. Sunil escorted me to my room and made sure I was ok working the TV remote, aircon and asked if I would like to use the safe which was free of charge no deposit required. They have maps of the island and excursions visitor may like to go on. The hotel doesn't provide lunch or evening meals but are more than happy to warm food up for you in the microwave. The location is great very quiet and only 10-15 minutes walk from the promenade, buses and ferry. A big shout out to Milos who works the night shifts, he would sit with me having conversations about the island festivals and explain when the best times to come back to do the things I wasn't able to do due to weather being either very windy or rainy. Domestic staff are also amazing. Room spotless, I never found one hair or dust anywhere and even though i made my bed they would remake it and leave fresh towels designed on the bed. Anything I ate or drank was repleshed. I already miss the staff and hope to visit them in the future.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place anymore! Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Sliema with easy access to the seafront and bars and restaurants. The stuff was just the best! Super nice, useful and ready to help in every way! The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need and there is also a pool where you can relax. Deffo would stay here again!!! Even after check out they were so helpful in leaving the luggages and helping in any way. Thanks again to all the stuff (especially Cristina which is a little treasure!).

Stayed for 1 week pre cruise and one night post cruise on a room only basis. Hotel chosen by cruise agent. Hotel nicely restored in a quiet area. Warm welcome on arrival . Issues with television tech sorted quickly. Staff helpful with arranging taxis , when our pre booked transport did not arrive to take us to the port. However, we weren't informed that we would be charged a 10 euro deposit for the plug adapters which we didn't use, and were left in the room on checking out and for the safe key which was returned. Check your bill ! However, anyone with limited mobility would find the location challenging. Pavements and paths very narrow and in some places in very poor condition .

We stayed here for a week while exploring Malta. We found this to be a good central location. The ferry to Valletta is approximately 15 mins walking. Plenty of restaurants down in the same area. Our room was spacious with a balcony. The kitchenette was a great addition for us to have a quick breakfast before leaving for the day since we found the breakfast onsite a tad expensive. The bed was very comfortable and the room relatively quiet. We found the bathroom didn’t afford much privacy. The front desk staff were very nice especially Diego who helped with transport on the bus, hotel reservations and overall questions.

The room was very clean, the hotel overall was elegant and well kept. The staff was super lovely and accommodating. The location was ideal, with Baluta Bay and the waterfront south within walking distance. Convenient for catching the ferry to Valletta. Would definitely recommend :)

Have just got back from a week at Palazzo Violetta. We had a great room with every thing we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. In a quiet and handy location. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a great central location. The room was very clean and the facilities good. Lovely little balcony to sit out and enjoy your morning cuppa. The staff were excellent and we look forward to staying again. The bed was also very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy Malta.

Advertising twin rooms, the hotel staff told us the hotel knows it cannot deliver, so meets requests by folding out a small sofa which leaves no seating . Even after complaint we were given no bedding except one hairy blanket for it and no sheet quilt or pillow. The suites are not suites but one room, and the annexe Casa Violetta is neither attached nor opposite but 50 metres down a busy road and has no facilities. The plumbing sounds like a landing helicopter. The rooms there do have attractive stone finishes but are not luxurious have no antiques as described but with inexpensive modern furniture and not much of it or of anything eg the kettle has to sit on the floor, as do the towels , and you will get one tea bag between two .With no changing rooms except shared toilets in the restaurant the pool is not credibly usable for Casa guests. Clearly the Casa has been developed to cash in on the success of the Palazzo by using misleading description to conceal its deficits . The time to offer an alternative room is when the customer complains, not after having said one isn't available, having given a completely unsatisfactory remedy , and having been told that as a result the customer has booked alternative accommodation and has cancelled their stay. Offering at that point simply looks like a cynical attempt to avoid repayment for not fulfilling a contract.
