Hotels app saying one bottle water free in room. I said to reception.he show to restaurant. Breakfast is extra and expensive. Fortunately, there are Turkish restaurants nearby. taste and service are there.

I can not say enough good things about the Select Hotel in Solingen. Stayed for 8 nights and it was perfect. From location to accommodations. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They offer a wonderful breakfast every morning. The staff is amazing! I would like to mention Mohammed who went above and beyond to assist me. And he made sure that everything was as it should be everyday. He did this not only for me but he made all guests feel welcome. My German is good but not perfect. I was able to communicate in English with Mohammed. The Hotel was very busy during my stay due to a Convention in Duesseldorf. Despite the craziness the Hotel remained quiet and comfortable. There is also a cute bar near the lobby that serves food and beverages in the afternoons and evening.

One particular night staff member should not be working in hospitality. A personality where growing fury is the response to a guests confidence or a request for a receipt that he couldn't fine. Extreme views that personally I would recommend having him put on the country watch list. A made a clear request for housekeeping and even communicated this with the general manager in person for NO HOUSEKEEPING. This was met with a room cleaned by housekeeping. And after the house keeping manager tried my door without an invitation and I told her the door sign clearly refers to no disturbance, and then while I am talking downstairs to the general manager she or someone is busy reaching under my pillow and provokingly has refolded my long johns and then put them on the TOP of my pillow to say. I have been here, I am not happy. General manager refuses to give me a refund after offering a breakfast for the housekeeping manager trying my door with a no housekeeping sign on. I was told there was a 'misunderstanding'. A decision that grants housekeeping to do what they want without repercussion. The attitude is 'we don't care'. If he really cared he would have immediately said 'Correct, unsatisfactory, you clearly said you did not want housekeeping and they have gone and done it anyway. Any reasonable person would deduce this is a two fingers to you. Or something like that." Only twenty years ago we paid at the end of the stay. I certainly would not have paid for one night if I had the choice to pay at the end. Back then there were hardly any issues. Hotels were waiting for your payment. Female front staff member also did the, you want this, oh you mean that, you mean that with cream, oh you mean a new this, with that and this as well but not that and forget the other. So sad. And an unnerving creepy amount of ong term stayers. From my experience, hotels where there are no corridor cameras and many agency staff and long term stayers there is an increase in likelihood of hacking. I have found out it is easier than it seems to get hacked. Use your phone for calls and internet if you can outside the grounds of hotels and look out for strange setting changes and a black small dot on your icon bar. It means someone is currently accessing your location and the rest. Twice I went into the corridor from my room and twice a nearby door quickly closes. Coincidence or something more. The feeling of the place is "something not good is about to happen soon".

The hotel has changed ownership since the last visit, but still as clean and welcoming as previous trips. Sanitary protocols are well observed, the breakfast offered was very nice, and the beds are (still) very firm. Will definitely be back on my next visit.

Sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt! Wir hatten ca. vier Monate vorher ein Doppelzimmer bestellt und bekamen ein Zwei-Bett-Zimmer zugeteilt. Auch auf Nachfrage konnte uns kein Zimmer mit Doppelbett zugeteilt werden - alle belegt. Um so ärgerlicher war es, dass das Zwei-Bett-Zimmer aktuell 14 € günstiger angeboten wurde, als wir im Dezember bei der Buchung bezahlt haben. Und wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal in dem Hotel - aber jetzt zum letzten Mal....

Excellente halte, à quelques kilomètres de Cologne qui était notre objectif. Cependant, nous avons découvert Solingen, dont nous ne connaissions que l'acier, et avons vu la vieille ville et ... visité l'usine Haribo! L'hotel est très confortable, calme pour une bonne nuit de repos au cours d'un long voyage.

Ontbijt super, kaner niet geweldig hard bed, te weinig dekbedden om warm te blijven. Ga niet terug!

Erster Eindruck von außen: Abgeliebt und wenig gepflegt, das Innere etwas in die Kahre gekommen aber wenigstens sauber. Zimmer durchschnittlich und völlig überheizt, der versprochene große TV ist auf älteres Kleingerät geschrumpft. Die Nachtruhe wurde durch Nachbarn und Barbesucher unangenehm gestört. Überhaupt: Interesse an Barbesuch oder Verweilen im Foyer wurde durch das penetrante Abspielen von Weihnachtsmusik verhindert, wenn ich sowas hören will gehe ich in den Kaufhof.
