The Hotel St. Ellis has the best breakfast buffet I've found anywhere, compared to at least a dozen hotels in the U.S. It also has a small but wonderful swimming pool, very good service, and a terrific shower. The biggest negative is that it provides absolutely no written instructions for operating the air conditioning, the TV, the Wifi, and the lights. It provides just one room key, no matter how many people are staying in the room. The air conditioning goes off at night, and can be restarted only by standing on a chair and pressing the button, but they don't tell you that. My wife and I suffered from overheating on the first night. Operating the TV requires pressing 2 or 3 buttons. The room has a power key -- a plastic card that must be inserted on a slot to get any electricity. I had to ask a staff member to connect by phone by WiFi on the ground floor and again on the 3rd floor, because they have 2 different systems. It took my wife and me a full day to figure everything out. The other family members, in another room, never did figure out the air conditioning, and suffered through all 3 nights. It would take the hotel staff less than an hour to write out all these instructions on a single page and print a copy for each room, but they don't bother. If they did, I would give the hotel 4 and a half stars. Other members of my family were so confused by the lack of instructions that they gave the hotel just 3 stars. Their other complaint was that the walls on the stairway are in serious need of painting and repair, but this didn't really bother me. Please, Hotel St. Ellis: get off your butts and write out the instructions!

Top rate accommodations. We had a villa suite and it was complete with every amenity to ensure comfort and luxury. The bathroom was very spacious with Roman tub, shower room and toilet plus a large vanity area with his and hers sinks. Nice dining area which already had a table setting for two. King sized bed with a love seat at the foot of the bed and a sofa by the window. Their television system was updated and allowed us the enjoy our Netflix at night. The grounds were well manicured and the pools were beautiful - an infinity pool and a another pool that run through the villas. The service we got from the staff was warm and outstanding. We were pampered by the staff. Meals at the restaurant was delicious. The waiters were very attentive but one waiter Jayson Valdevieso stood out amongst the rest - he made our dinners artistic with his table arrangements and went the extra mile in service. He would recommend delicious authentic Bicolano cuisine and these never failed to delight us. When Jayson learned that I loved ikebana, he created ikebana centerpiece specially for our table from foliage materials that he got from the resort gardens. Misibis Bay Resort is a destination that will not disappoint.

I expected more from this hotel being on the expensive side compared to its competitors. The rooms were but cleanliness needs to be improved. Breakfast was very carb heavy and not much protein options available.

This was our first time staying at Emerald Boutique Hotel (EBH). This was our experience… We had originally booked a place to stay via airbnb. However, upon arrival, the place was nothing like the description. So, we didn’t even have to think twice about not staying there. That will have its own review. Getting back to our experience at EBH. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a smile by France. We inquired about a room and was told that they were booked for the night. However, she was kind enough to double check and see if all of the expected guests had arrived. After much effort, she was finally able to accommodate us for the night at the third floor but reserve a second floor for us since my father has a difficulty in climbing stairs. The following day, we were able to transfer to the second floor as promised. A day later after breakfast, we were fortunate enough to meet the hotel’s owner and general manager. Apparently the owner overheard the conversations that we had the night before and wanted to help us. We informed, Mr. Noel and Mr. Leo that we need an accommodations for about 30 days maybe even longer but was informed that we could only stay for only one night since all the rooms are booked. However, we didn’t want to move since we really like the hotel and it is near to some of the offices that we need to go to. After a few more conversations with the owner and the hotel’s general manager, we were told to go to our room and to just relax amd that they will take care of things and will give us an update asap or no later than by close of business. After a few hours, Mr. Leo personally came up to our room to give us the great news that we don’t need to worry and that we can stay in our room. We did receive a call from the front desk in the latter part of the day due to some miscommunications between the staff. I reached out to Mr. Leo to inform him of the situation and he took immediate action to resolve the situation and promised me that such issues would not happen again. Emerald Boutique Hotel is a hidden secret hotel. The service is top notch. The room attendants are on point. The food, I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s just say that I have probably gained a few pounds just from my few days stay thus far. Mr. Renz is also there to assist you if you have any questions. If you’re looking for a five star experience and still want to save money to be able to do other things, look no more. Book your stay at the Emerald Boutique Hotel. The place is good but it is far a bit from the city. Good thing we have a motorcycle to visit the tourist spots we want to see. The room is clean and best for a long stay and group vacation. Can recommend to other friends. The pool is warm due to the reason that it was a rainy day. So far, the hotel is simple and peaceful.
