Hotel Royal Jinene Sousse

We were supposed to stay at the Marhaba Club Hotel, but before we even left the UK, we were informed that it was not available. Instead, we were given the Royal Jinene Hotel as a "like for like" alternative. Unfortunately, the Royal Jinene fell far short of our expectations and was definitely not on par with the Marhaba Club. The hotel is old and desperately needs renovation. The decor is outdated, and the furniture is worn, giving the entire place a neglected and unwelcoming atmosphere. The food at the Royal Jinene was terrible. The buffet lacked variety, and the quality of the meals was extremely poor. Every meal was a disappointment, making dining an unpleasant experience. The water was turned off during the day without any notice, causing significant inconvenience and frustration. This is unacceptable for any hotel. There was no air conditioning in the downstairs areas, making them uncomfortably hot. The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy, disrupting sleep and relaxation. The lifts were constantly breaking down, making it difficult to move around the hotel, especially for guests with mobility issues. The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. The rooms and common areas were not adequately cleaned, adding to the overall sense of neglect. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, which is a nice feature for those looking to enjoy the seaside. While the hotel is near the beach, it is not close to other amenities. Guests often need to take taxis or buses to reach various places, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, I must mention that the staff seemed very embarrassed by the whole situation of the hotel, indicating they were aware of the issues but possibly unable to rectify them. In summary, our stay at the Royal Jinene Hotel was far from satisfactory. The hotel did not live up to the standard of the Marhaba Club and was plagued with numerous issues, including poor maintenance, terrible food, unreliable amenities, and cleanliness problems. I would not recommend the Royal Jinene Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I came with my father for 1 week and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is nice and clean, also the food is good. There’s a private beach that’s a 2 minute walk and it’s nice and peaceful. Theres an entertainment person called Mino and he’s the best person in the hotel, also makes everyone laugh.

Mino was one of the best workers i have ever been served by and i have been 22 holidays in my life. The towel service, toilet paper service and overall everything was just amazing. I would definitely recommend and if im being honest, without mino it would not have been such an unforgettable experience

The hotel is one of the best I have ever been to in Tunisa and as it is my first time here the staff at the hotel seem to be amazing and especially mino who is very entertaining and kind to me and my family. I highly recommend this hotel to others. I will surely be returning!
