The Barefoot at Havelock

The staffs are extremely friendly and they took extreme care for us to have the best hospitality experience. Resort and food is little expensive but would be worth it when you get to enjoy both the beach and the forest stay experience. Must Try!

The best eco-lodge experience in Andamans. Your Amazing Andamans moments start right from the meet-and-greet team led by Rahul at the Port Blair airport and the staff who assist at the Haddo Jetty with your ferry travel. At the Barefoot Resort in Havelock, Susmita and her team welcomed us warmly into our “Nicobari Cottage”. Trilochan the Chef, Jagan the Restaurant Manager, and their team assisted by Varada prepared a sumptuous dinner. We were lucky to get a Kilo-Crab on the day we arrived. Reuben, the in-house naturalist charted our plans for a trek through the reserve forest, the marsh before we landed in the beautiful, white sand Elephanta beach. Reuben impresses us with his knowledge of the jungle, the terrain and the activities we had to pick. Back in the resort, the stunner is the pristine Radha Nagar beach to which one has access from the resort. You wouldn’t want to get back from the sun loungers under the shades of the mighty trees overlooking the beach. I could spend a lifetime here; dolce far niente. We were up for a surprise dinner on the last night of our stay, arranged by the Barefoot team. A sweet gesture indeed. The rooms are clean and spacious. They are well attended and air conditioned. Towels and bed linen were clean and smelled good. The housekeeping team did a great job. The network connectivity for Airtel is good (4G works inside the cottages and most part of the property). No TVs and loud music here.

The BEST experience I have ever had! Having been to most beach locations around the world, I think it is safe to say that Barefoot by Havelock is a gateway to one of the cleanest beaches in India, and the world, with blue and emerald waters, lush forests full of exotic and endemic wildlife, and a very clean beach. Nobody on the beach but you and your loved ones for as far as your eyes can see! The Nicobari cottages are spacious and comfortable, adding to the living amidst the nature vibe. The service and hospitality are impeccable!! Absolutely loved chatting with all the staff members at both the main desk and the restaurant. Everyone is super efficient, kind, and lovely. We were especially impressed by Reuben, one of the staff members in charge of organising the wilderness activities. His exceptional service and delightful demeanour significantly elevated our experience. We went on a Bird Watching tour with him around the resort and his immense knowledge and expertise had us hooked! He was a very endearing host and made our stay worthwhile. Scuba diving was the highlight of our trip, definitely do not miss if you love adventure! Barefoot’s scuba diving team was very professional and made us feel very comfortable and ready as first time divers. The experience was phenomenal and left us having our own “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” moment. The restaurant is also quite lovely, great food, fast service, a bit pricey but has good portion sizes. All in all, definitely a 10/10 experience!

I am currently staying at Barefoot at Havelock and have serious concerns about the pathways connecting the cottages, dining area, and reception. Especially during monsoon, these pathways are severely waterlogged due to poor construction, making it impossible to walk safely to the dining area. The pathways are poorly lit and uneven, posing significant safety hazards. Many guests, despite being told that room service is only for infants and the elderly, have had to order room service because of the unsafe conditions. The pathways are very bad during the monsoon, making it impossible for elderly people to walk because of the pathways being poorly lit it us difficult to walk properly at night in any season

1)Location: I loved the location of this property, as it was a 2 minute walk from Radhanagar beach (voted one of the best in Asia). It is also just 2.5 kms away from the start of the Elephant beach trekking point; and just 5 - 7 minutes walk to the public bus stop. (It is about a 15- 20 minute drive from the Jetty) 2) Environment: Very nice forest vibe as the resort has taken care to maintain the flora and fauna in the area, and tried to retain as much of a jungle vibe as possible, ***** with all the modern amenities, to make your stay comfortable. 3) Very clean: The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, with fresh sheets, fresh towels, etc. The shower area in my room had a sunroof, which was a bonus. 5) Staff: The staff were very helpful and paid attention to detail. Sandeep at the front desk was especially welcoming and guided me about the resort. He gave me a lovely surprise at the time of check in and ensured that I have very pleasant stay. 6) Activities: There is a nice bar and some live music in the evening, which makes things very relaxed. The resort also organises other activities like tree walks, night walks, etc which guests can enjoy.

We had a really good stay at Barefoot resort. Resort are in the middle of jungle close to the most beautiful beach on Havelock. Staff from the reception and the restaurant are really really nice and professional. The food is excellent, best food that we had in India, delicious. Thank you to the chef's as well for his time and recommendation.

Lovely secluded location, 5 minute walk from an amazing beach and really good food. It's more expensive than most other places on the island but worth it. We did the early morning bird walk and the night time animal walk too. The naturalists are incredibly knowledgeable and personable. A personal highlight of mine.

Place is very peaceful and calm, rooms are very well maintained, a special thanks to the team, all staff are very hospitable and warm. We had a memorable stay. Food was great and to our liking. Front off- Sushmita/subhendu/chirag Restaurant- jaganath/Christina/veda/rithika/krithika/ananta Kitchen staff - Chef trilochan, probir, deepak, sarath, ganapathi, sanjay and raja. Spa team- Jaicy, lion, kai and arila.

Wonderful experience, fantastic location, courteous staff, and excellent food. Did I mention it’s on the most stunning beach on the island! Perhaps the only downside is the slightly dated rooms but it adds to the rustic charm of the place. Would come back!
