Recently stayed and felt the place was good for the price. Unfortunately, I was taken seriously ill after the first night and needed to be hospitalised for emergency surgery, and then I couldn’t return to the hotel at the time to collect my belongings. I sent my best friend the same day, who got all they could see in my room but forgot most of my toiletries. Called the hotel who said they’d collect them up for me from the room to pick up. I remained in hospital and had to send a family member, who was given a few items but not the 2 bottles of somewhat expensive aftershave or the brand new deodorant. The hotel just said my friend had taken them but they 100% hadn’t - and refused to go into the room to check because someone else was now in there. Disappointing situation all round. Bookers just beware.

Spent two nights in this B n b room was at top of the house. it was very snall and barely functional really serving as only a place to sleep on the uncomfortable bed Member of staff does provide a cooked breakfast and other breakfast options which is a bonus competitively priced but too basic for me.

Arrived to find a dark room top landing attic room with 3 small beds. Partner couldn't turn as hit his head on sloping ceiling. Bed very hard. Shower Dangerous, came off on my hand spurting scalding water over my hand and couldn't turn off. Was told on arrival we could use shared landing bathroom if we wanted after paying for en suite? We now know why! Few sheets on toilet roll - no spare. Mouldy stinking bathroom. Stale smelling room. Stayed in good hotels and B&B s for over 30 years- definitely the worst we've seen. Landlord just stared blankly when I complained. NOT 4 star...not 1 star. Go elsewhere.

Stayed here last night lovely room very clean.. breakfast well it was fantastic....Jack was lovely even offered to take us to cruise terminal...ty Jack see u again soon...nothing was too much trouble recommend highly

Can anyone tell me if argyle lodge is still open as iv booked on telephone and was told I'd get a text to confirm but nothing back..booked for next month......and am not starting to get a bit concerned I gave debit details to confirm but pay cash on arrival
