Very nice hotel. Enjoyed our staying and we will be definitely staying here again . Best location and best view of the location

DO NOT STAY HERE. The experience I had whilst staying here was one thing but the customer service too? Appalling. I stayed here back in August for a special occasion. I had informed the hotel of this occasion prior to this hoping special arrangements would be made, however, no little touches were done. Additionally, I suffer from a severe dust allergy and the room had not be cleaned properly. The AC was full of dust and the bedside tables too, which left me feeling ill the next morning when I had checked out. If you still don’t think that’s bad enough, I had written an email to the hotel and didn’t express these concerns upon check-out to save them the embarrassment as I had other guests around me and I did not receive a response to my email for 2 months!!!! Even after sending follow up emails!! That is absolutely insane. I only then received a response when I had left a google review online expressing my distress. They have also not provided me with a satisfactory solution, therefore, I do not recommend.

The staff at the hotel were really helpful and attentive. The rooms were spacious and spotless rooms and the sea view is stunning .: Right on the seafront and close to centre so only a short walk from the hotel .. would highly recommend and will be staying again.

A frightening bewilderment. Hotel by name but not by any other characteristic. The superficiality was evident. I was placed in a disability access room without consultation... it wasn't attractive... the stains on carpets, cushions tea making stations and bathroom were suspiciously unhygienic... bed was hard - pillows were terrible leading to discomfort (I asked for a replacement and apparently they had found me the best they could find in the hotel - still terrible) every night... tea station underwhelming... and inconsistent... the room dark and dingy with with heavily worn and stained bedhead. The ironing board had a broken leg and the kettle didn't work and needed to be replaced. - I was booked for a week (visiting from abroad for work). No two days were the same... you couldn't be sure you would have a restocked tea station... the breakfast menu was poor... even ordering the same thing on different days were inconsistent - and one option was so poor the second rendering that it was inedible and returned. the coffee was awful - and eventually so bad it was returned undrinkable. I turned to just drinking tea... even this was inconsistent - a simple pot of tea! repeatedly by the time the milk came the tea was cold... they even ran out of toast one day and couldn't serve several tables who asked for toast! I stopped eating breakfast there altogether after a couple of days. I saw no evidence of any competence in restaurant staff... at all. I don't recommend eating there. The menu is inconsistent as well - and with the couple of meals I had in the evening... again you ordered one thing and then they brought a different thing altogether... but the worst was yet to come... my last night a frightening incident occurred... a man with a woman behind him entered my locked room in the evening while I was in there... it was extremely frightening... I have never had anything like that happen in any hotel anywhere in the world... they retreated when they saw me... I phoned reception shaken... they said they would come up... they didn't... I then went down to reception... and the man at the reception counter was the same man that entered my room! He appeared embarrassed and wanted to deal with quickly - presumably so our conversation was not heard by his colleagues... I asked who had a key to my room - he said he did... and he thought I was out, so he didn't know I was in the room! I was truly shaken and scared... I have no idea what he/they intended to do in my room but the invasion was very uncomfortable indeed. I didn't sleep much - frightened of who else had liberty with the key to my room and who might access my room. I have never felt less safe in a hotel room. I put my packed suitcases jammed up against the door so that at least if anyone tried to enter it would cause them to stumble and alert me in time to respond... it was a terrible stay... when I went to check out the next day... there were numerous inconsistency in the bill... they had added o

My husband recently surprised me by booking a stay at the Seven Hotel in Southend, Essex for my 41st birthday. Oh my gosh, it is an incredibly luxurious boutique hotel! I'm already planning to celebrate my husband's surprise birthday here. When we walked in the hotel entrance the Supervisor Vikash was at the desk. He was very well dressed, polite and professional. He checked us into our hotel room the Estuary Superior Room/Suite, which featured elegant white walls with gold, white, and turquoise fixtures and bedding. The bathroom and other room fixtures had a stunning gold finish, and a beautiful chandelier hung over our bed. I honestly felt like I was in a palace. The room included all the expected amenities, but with luxurious upgrades, such as a selection of fine teas and glass bottles of water. The highlight was the view. Our balcony overlooked the beach, offering a magnificent view, especially at sunrise. We contacted reception and restaurant service a few times, and the staff were consistently polite and professional. The hotel also has a bar where you can unwind and relax. There is paid parking in front of the hotel and free parking at the back. I give this hotel 6 stars, all day, every day. I am thrilled my husband booked this hotel; it was money well spent!

Booked in may 2023 but couldn't go back further with the date. Honestly, possibly the worst hotel experience me and my partner have ever had. We stayed for two nights, travelling from Derbyshire. I am currently suffering with a double Pulmonary embolism so I looked for the highest rated hotel where I can be the most comfortable to rest if I needed a break from going out. We paid £381.60 for the two nights and the hotel states luxury so I expected it to at least be clean and comfortable. After a nearly 4 hour car drive where I fell ill with the flu half way down, severe aches and high temperature so I was very uncomfortable for the stay as it was. Upon arriving, the car parking was awful, but the girl at reception kindly let us know we could park in the car park and move it over in the morning to avoid charges. As it was, she checked the cctv and saw a spot so we moved the car. The reception area is lovely and luxurious. I thought this would carry through. The room was well designed but run down. The shower was covered in limescale, dirt between the tiles, lamp shade cracked and had masking tape over it, the exterior walls were damp and the windows had mould which they covered with another window on top. The beds were hard and uncomfortable but it would do. At 10.30pm on the 12th of May, the same day as arrival, water started pouring then dripping from the smoke detector (?) We both went downstairs, at this point I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to sleep. We mentioned the issue and the man and he found another available room. This room was directly opposite the pub where it was very loud even with windows closed. But the worst part was- the room wasn't cleaned. Other than the bed being made, there was a towel on the floor by the door, a tissue across the room and the bathroom was a state. Soaps used, weird orange marks all over the toilet seat and sink. Hair on the bed. It's like the cleaners did half a job and gave up. My partner went to reception by himself and kindly asked if there was another room. The man at reception apologised and found us an upgraded room. This room was about this size I expect a normal room to look like, the shower still had limescale, and the lamp hanging above the bed had one of the three strings holding it up broken from the lamp, being held by the electrical wire. We later watched through the door's peep hole one of the cleaners clearing out peoples alcohol from the room opposite us and downed the remains of what looked like champagne. No wonder the rooms aren't clean. It was an awful experience and should not be allowed to be named a 4 star hotel. I felt dirty staying in this place. It probably was luxury when it first opened but not anymore. Won't return and will be telling people to stay away. Only plus side was the reception staff being nice. They need new cleaners and to replace the things that are broken and outdated! Had no partial refunds or free drinks for the trouble, just a bigger dirty room. Had

We had a suite on top floor. Definitely had the wow factor when first entering. Further exploring stains on sofa and specks of black spots on bedding. Tea station had no English breakfast tea and wasn’t really fully stocked. Price of drinks was a daylight robbery. 4 pints, 4 G&T’s and a small sandwich £97!!!! And a tip was given, we didn’t realise there was a service charge! This is only day 1. Bathroom was only 1 of each small bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body cream. For the price paid I would have expected a selection. Over all not very impressed. Looks good on the outside, good on the website but different in real life. Great views from top floor, balcony could had done with a good clean, cobwebs adorned the balcony. I can say for the price paid, I was expecting more. Shall not be coming back.

The service is always super at Seven. The rooms on the top floor have great views and the decor and attention to detail is superb. The bar is a cool place to hang out and the outside is a sun trap. This is our bolt hole home when we need to escape and it's so close to London

Poor quality pillows. Coffee 'station' in room was not replenished after previous booking. Silly that the view gets obstructed by the tv in the window (and the tree opposite). Bar was super hot in temperature. The bar windows/doors were closed late at night (probably due to noise in a residential area), but at least turn the air-conditioning on. But it was sweltering inside, and very uncomfortable. The price of the glass wines were outrageous. The bar staff were throwing the empty bottles with a massive crash in the bin (bend your back and put it in carefully). Also, they were mixing something, and some utensils were thrown into the sink with a loud clatter. Both these things are terribly unprofessional, and inappropriate for a so-called luxury boutique hotel.

Lovely hotel, wonderful location. Great staff, very helpful and knowledgable. Upon check in we realized that the room we booked was a tad too small for our family (no fault of the hotel’s). When we mentioned this, we were immediately shown other options and were quickly moved to a more suitable room… so, having seen multiple room options, we can say that all rooms are beautiful and accommodating in their own right. Highly recommend, would stay here again. :)
