A really excellent hotel in Yangshuo. It was close to where the cruise docked as well as West street. The hotel has staff that speak English and are helpful when booking trips. The restaurants in the hotel have tasty food and there are excellent views. It was great staying at such a friendly hotel, would definitely recommends it

We came to this hotel with my sister for 2 nights. The staff was extremely helpful organizing taxi drivers allocation, recommending stores, and even helping us to return stuff after the due time. They have really a strong commitment to make the customers happy and the rooms are spacious with great views ! Special mention to the rooftop full of beautiful elements to take pictures ! I strongly recommend for a stay ! 😁

Charming Stay Near West Street – A Cat Lover’s Paradise with Artistic Touches 🎨🐾 I had an incredibly cozy and memorable stay just steps away from bustling West Street. The room was clean, comfortable, and came with a lovely balcony offering serene mountain views—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and all the basic amenities were thoughtfully provided. One of the highlights was the coffee shop conveniently located right downstairs—ideal for a morning pick-me-up or a relaxing afternoon break. But what truly made the stay special was the owner. She speaks fluent English, so communication was smooth and easy. As someone who doesn’t plan much in advance, I found her local guidance absolutely invaluable. She mapped out routes and recommended hidden gems that made my trip unforgettable. She’s also a talented painter! The beautiful cards you’ll spot at the reception desk or in the bathroom are her own hand-drawn creations—such a lovely personal touch that adds character to the place. If you’re a cat enthusiast, prepare to be delighted—they have a whole feline family that adds a warm, homey vibe to the property. 🐱 A minor note: the room’s proximity to the main road means it can get a bit noisy in the evenings or early mornings. Personally, it didn’t bother me much—after a full day riding the scooter I rented from them for just 30 RMB, I slept like a baby. Also worth mentioning: this is the perfect spot for travelers who prefer peace and quiet over nightlife. It’s close enough to the action for convenience, but far enough to enjoy restful evenings. Overall, this spot is a fantastic blend of comfort, convenience, and character. Highly recommended for laid-back travelers, art lovers, and cat fans alike!

Very pleased with BOYARD Hotel (桂林漓江泊雅酒店～两江四湖店). Cos I arrived very early (due to morning flight), the customer service staff, namely [思思&佳美] did their very best to get me check-in the soonest. Kudos to the hotel staff, including the housekeeper, for their quality customer service and prompt response. All matters were smoothly handled in less than an hour. The guest room arranged for me was very clean and spacious. BOYARD Hotel also has a beautiful Sky Garden where you can get a good view of the surrounding mountains. They even set up a beautiful photo booth where you can capture your best Instagram shots. Overall, I must compliment both the management and operational staff of BOYARD Hotel for their creativity and excellent client relations.

Were pleasantly surprised by how good the noodles at breakfast were. The outdoor seating on the rooftop was damp the whole time we were there so it wasn't possible to sit out on the balcony. Sheltered seating or waterproof seats might be better. Room lighting too dark and hard to do makeup. Electric dryer did not work at all so we had to hang our clothes to dry in our room. Electric curtains were very much appreciated. Do note there is a building directly in front of the hotel which may interfere your view of the scenery. The corner units are least affected. We must say the staff were very accommodating to foreign tourists and provided very useful recommendations for sightseeing. If you want to rent an e scooter or book tickets, you can do so through the front desk and save a lot of trouble. Some parts of the hot spring area at the back was a little dark though.

Sugar House was one of the highlights of our trip to China. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere special. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending contemporary luxury with its historic surroundings in a way that feels both unique and peaceful. Our room was spacious, stylish and extremely comfortable, with stunning views over the karst landscape. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Yangshuo. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great selection of both Chinese and Western options, and every meal we had at the hotel restaurant was beautifully prepared using excellent local ingredients. Everything was consistently excellent and a real highlight of our stay. What really elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely eager to help. They assisted us in arranging transport and offered excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding area, making everything effortless. The location was perfect for us—peaceful and secluded, yet within easy reach of Yangshuo’s incredible scenery. We spent the day rafting on the Yulong River, visiting Fuli Bridge, Moon Hill and Xingping, before returning to relax by the beautiful riverside pool each evening. It was the ideal balance of adventure and tranquillity. Sugar House is much more than a luxury hotel; it is a destination in its own right. We left wishing we had booked an extra night and would not hesitate to return. It is a truly exceptional place that we will remember for a very long time.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Qingshan Yunshe, earth village in a group of 2 families with 3 kids. Simple clean rooms as shown in pictures, a big projector, loaded with cartoon and movie content. Kids also loved the KTV, small childrens play area and video games arcade area. Super freindly and helpful staff at front desk addressed all our queries, arranged massage, scooter rental. Can arrange taxi rentals and tours too. Laundry, ironing, snacks, bottled water, traditional dress and afternoon tea were available for free. Convenient location, just 10 mins walk to west street. Supermarkets on the opposite side, a resturant that could cater to our vegan needs right below the hotel. Its a great budget friendly choice to explore Yangshou!

Our stay at ShiXi TianYue Riverview Hotel was absolutely flawless, and every detail reflected high quality. Stunning Sunrise View: The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the sunrise seen directly from my room. Watching the first light hit the winding River and the layered karst peaks was a truly priceless visual experience. High-Quality Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea was exquisite. With a perfect balance of sweet and savory treats made from fresh ingredients, it was such a sophisticated way to relax by the river. Savory Breakfast: The breakfast was equally impressive! There was a wide variety of authentic choices, from traditional rice noodles to delicate pastries. You can tell the chef puts a lot of heart into every dish. The staff were professional and welcoming throughout. If you're looking for the ultimate combination of river views and culinary delights, this is the place to be!

The overall stay was okay but not somewhere I would rush back to. The service from the majority of the stop on reception was poor. Despite requesting a non smoking room, my parents were given a room that stank of smoke. It took them nearly 4 hours to get a room that was appropriate. Initially we were promised a new room in 30 minutes. However, the room they were given was ‘clean’ without a door that locked and plug sockets that didn’t work. Their initial response was to use extension leads in place of the plugs (see photos attached) and repair the door which still wasn’t done by the time they moved rooms for 3rd time. To get the room changed, again, my husband had to to go reception and request an upgrade with access to the club lounge to the inconvenience caused (as we lost our first afternoon). The hotel permitted this request but honestly their attitude leaves a lot to be desired and they clearly don’t like foreigners as they were talking about us and didn’t think we could understand. The facilities were okay. The gym and indoor pool were great. The spa is expensive given that there are many local spas just a few minutes away in a taxi. The outdoor swimming pool had no water in it so we couldn’t use it. The buffet restaurant was good. The palace restaurant was very chaotic and not somewhere I would choose to eat again. We liked Guilin but we’ll be staying somewhere else next time unfortunately.

This hotel was super clean and modern with a great amount of amenities including pool, free laundry, three delicious home-cooked style meals, and afternoon tea and desert service. The hotel staff are incredibly attentive and kind. All activities can be booked easily at the front desk, moped hire was a highlight.
