Bukirk Glamping & Fancy Coops

What a fabulous experience we had at Bukirk. Our tent was so luxurious, the bed very comfortable and the best pillows ever! Alison “Chook” is a very welcoming lady and clearly loves all her animals. Kevin is adorable and clearly enjoys a huge fuss. Our time in the Clare Valley spent at Tim Adams vineyard will live with me and my husband forever, as will our time at Bukirk. We visited mid March 2024 Alison met us with an amazing smile and showed us the luxurious tents as well as we had the privilege of seeing the coops. The coops really are quite amazing and on our next visit we will be spending some time in them, they really are luxurious The weather was absolutely beautiful and Alison gave us great information on places to see restaurants to visit and wineries to have a nice drink or two. It was a wonderful time that we had and we will definitely visit again. Thanks for your friendliness and hospitality.

What a fabulous place for a great getaway in the Clare Valley. We loved it all from the gorgeous glamping tent to the well set up shared camp kitchen where we gathered with fellow guests for drinks at sunset. The pool was a delicious respite on a hot day and you can't forget to mention the farm animals that love a pat and a snack at any time - special mention to 'Kevin Bacon' the pig. Had a sneak peek at the Chook Cabins and they are just gorgeous if tenting isn't your thing. Friendliest host ever award goes to Alison "Chook", nothing was too hard and her local recommendations made our getaway just fabulous. Highly recommend this property 😍

My husband and I visited Bukirk on Sunday for our wedding anniversary. We had spent the afternoon cycling the Riesling trail on e-bikes and visiting the surrounding wineries Alison was on site to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the lovely property- she was also more than happy to give recommendations for things for us to do & places for us to eat while in Clare We stayed in the Silkie tent which had a very comfy King Bed. We took a dip in the pool- it is heated to a really nice temperature and it’s so handy having a fridge in the pool area (and chilled cups!) to enjoy a drink and a swim We then went to say hello to all of the animals- sheep, cute goats, chickens (one who loved to follow us around) and of course Kevin Bacon the pig who we were able to feed some bread. We then played some lawn games & darts which was good fun. We decided we didn’t want to venture back out for dinner now we were relaxed so purchased some pizzas Alison has available for purchase from the Uppside and cooked them in the on-site pizza oven We then retired to our balcony to watch the sunset with a drink in hand Once the sun went down we chilled in our cozy tent with board games and choccy We really enjoyed our stay and it was unique and fun!

Beautiful, peaceful setting for a relaxing break. We had all the comfort of home in a rustic setting. The fire pit (and complimentary marshmallows) were a lovely touch. It was a bit too cool for swimming, but the pool would be great in the warmer months.

This would have to be one if the best experiences we have had. The concept is so cool & Alison has done an outstanding job creating this little haven. From the moment you pull up, until you leave, you are made to feel so at home, So warm & welcoming.

I work in the hospitality industry, in and around 5 star hotels. We have all stayed in these same dog boxes and paid exorbitant prices and most of the time the service and the cleanliness let’s the whole experience down. Coming to Bukirk we are greeted with an honest, passionate , bubbly, knowledgeable, owner. A person who works hands on in the business with zeal and joy. Is anything too much for Alison ? It didn’t seem so. Was every guest treated equally and given attention ?, absolutely. There is a huge difference in care when some one actually enjoys what they are doing in delivering a unique experience. The tent accommodation from my perspective was immaculately presented it was spotlessly made up wih crisp fresh quality bed linen, cosy electric blanket for the chilly nights. The attached ensuite was clean as a whistle and offered a choice of using a heater or a fan. Towels provided where made from of a high quality cotton. Some 5 star hotels do not even offer a mini bar - Bukirk offered its version of one with its selection of chocolate bars and soft drinks. The camp ground is a modest size and lots of privacy, however there are many opportunity's if desired to mingle with other campers and form conversation or even friendships. There is your own personal car parking space right next to your tent so you can easily load or unload things. This place is getting my 100 percent vote for its offerings. Alison did an amazing job of executing a wonderful guest experience with her little barn yard of family animals we could all pat and love. The swimming pool provided a great chance to cool off and relax with a cool drink. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy what country life has to offer- fresh air, relaxing environment , beautiful scenery and the entire sky is exposed in the evenings with blinking glittering stars to gaze at. Sit around a fire at night and toast complimentary marshmallows off of a pitchfork. You can’t do this from your 44th floor hotel room with a view of a brick wall . Thankyou for the joyous time and we cannot wait to return to see how the garden grows and what new Bukirky things Chook comes up with next. 10/10

We had so much fun at this very special location. The styling of the property is excellent. You receive such a warm greeting on arrival and everything is explained to you. Despite almost zero temperatures, we were toasty warm in bed. And gathering around the firepit at night with the amazing stars above was fantastic. I am the last person you would ever expect to go glamping, yet I loved it!!!

We really enjoyed staying in one of chalets. It was very comfortable even though it was very wet and cold outside. The service provided by Alison was exceptional. She was very welcoming and was very happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back.
