I was a bit daunted by reviews when booking but was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, you get what you pay for (and a bit more). It’s a hostel with private rooms, not a hotel. Once you realize that, you manage your expectations. It is in a prime location next to Central Park and a short walk to Times Square. It is near a metro station and there are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The room was adequate (I booked a single room). It was clean and comfortable. Inside the room was a small tv, a small refrigerator, a desk a twin bed and a small closet area. I wasn’t too concerned about the room because I didn’t intend to spend much time in there but it was comfortable enough for my stay. The bathrooms are shared but are privately used so you don’t actually share it with anyone while using. It was always clean and regularly checked (but of course as they are shared some people clear up after themselves better than others). There were several so I never needed to wait more than a few mins. The shower pressure was fine and the water temperature was perfect for me. Even though you pay for gym and facility use when you stay, I never used them so can’t comment on them.
The checkin and check out processes were easy. The staff were all friend and helpful. The building felt safe and I never felt worried about anything.
I don’t really have any negatives to comment on. There was a little noise at time from other residents but that’s beyond the control of the staff etc.

The hotel did not provide hot and cold water. You need to have amazon account to watch TV program which we don't. They should have set up the system so that visitor can just switch ON the TV and watch. There is no toilet at the recieption. Just in case you check out early, and good to have when you back to pick up your luggage.

Hotel ini terletak hanya satu blok dari Times Square, jadi ia adalah lokasi 5*, ia adalah sebuah bangunan kecil lima tingkat tanpa lif, biliknya kecil, bilik deluxe agak besar - biliknya selesa. katil, ruang untuk bagasi di bawah katil, bilik mandi dengan kosmetik. Tiada cerek kopi/teh di dalam bilik, tetapi terdapat banyak kedai dan restoran berdekatan. Saya tinggal satu malam, jadi ada semua yang saya perlukan. Saya cadangkan!

I have paid for my room online before check-in. However, I was charged again upon checkout.... and it was paying for a room that was not under my name!!
Thank God I double checked. The staff checked and made a refund to my credit card without any expression or apology. It was so stressful to try to settle this while catching the shuttle bus.
The driver looked friendly but I was taken aback when he shouted rudely at my aged mother who was hesitant at the door because the two front rows were all taken up and she has difficulty moving to the back row. A younger lady then offered her seat to my mom.
When I had time to check my credit card bill later, I realized that the refunded amount was less than the amount wrongly charged to my card! I wrote to their guest relations but one and a half month later, I still have not received any reply from them. Although the shuttle service was prompt and room was clean and quiet, I probably will not stay there again.

He greeted me very professional , polite , he use all words to make the guest welcome , Good afternoon Sir , how are you , how can I help you , do you have reservation , he also book for me a taxi for early morning , he offer me also a snack menu in the case if I wanted something to eat .....
The hotel is in area near the speed way , close to the airport , nothing around , no bars , no restaurant , no shop ...... good to stay one night for early flight , now they have also something to eat . Thank you Mr. Meaghan (I hope the name is correct )you make the guest happy to stay .

CONs:
1. It’s just rooms and a breakfast hall. The hotel is cramped and there are only around 3-4 rooms per floor.
2. The room is quite small as well. Not much storage to properly put iron, coffee machine, and safe. Good for solo travellers. Can be challenging for couples or business travellers because of personal space.
3. No gym or whatsoever. Walk around the area or visit a park for your exercise routine.

Excellent Location - Just Stone throw away from Herald St Metro and Across the largest Macy. Lotsa Eateries nearby and easy walking distance to Times Sq, Bryant Park, Rockefeller, Grand Central Station or Empire State Building.
Really love it's convenience. Black tap is also on the same street.
For the hotel - it was spacious and we can easily pack 4 large luggage. Hot water is good. However there's no toothbrush / paste or bathroom slippers provided. Hope they can improve and provide. Similarly for the bathroom shampoo & body wash - to have bigger bottles.

MMariana CerattiExcellent! The room was clean, it's very spacious and the bed and pillows are comfortable. You can barely hear the air conditioning. There is a microwave, mini-fridge, iron and coffee maker. The flat TV is huge comparing to other hotels. Remodeled bathroom, very clean and bright. Breakfast is included with a good selection of food and drinks. Less than two blocks from the Queensboro yellow line subway station; only one stop till the 5th Ave, Central Park. Parking is at the street. Not hard to find a spot. Also, there are some private parking lots in the area, if you prefer. Felt very safe. Several traffic officers in the area, so be careful to park right and pay attention to the street signs about the day and time you have to move your car because of the street cleaning. A tip about the subway lines: there are more than one car in some lines. The yellow line has three different cars: R, N and W. Be careful not to take the wrong one. I didn't know that and was very hard in the first day to move around NYC using the subway. The black dots on the station maps means that your train won't stop in those stations. Paying the subway is easy just touching your phone or card in the ticket gate. You don't need to buy a subway pass.

MMalloryBThe location was a bit hard to find, but once you find it, it was very close to public transportation. The room was comfortable and what you would expect for what you pay. The walls were thin so you could hear what was happening in the hall, but during my stay it was pretty quiet. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

MMisti WallerWe get there at 10:00am - We knew we couldnt check in but asked anyway. Lady on Thurs 9/28 told me we couldnt yet and gave us bag tags to hold our bags for us. Very nice and pleasant. We then return to the hotel at 9pm to finally check in. We had a great day seeing the city. We are then told that the room I booked was over sold and they can not provide me with a King that I purchased but a double. This was the manager - She discounted the bill and $54 and told me they would make sure we were accommodated tomorrow. The room we were put it was the size of a walk in closet with a bed with a window unit that water dropped on all night making a loud noise with every drop. It also had a broken shelf above the sink so you literally had no where to put anything. It was horrible and honestly a $54 discount was not nearly enough.
Friday at 9am we come down turn in the room keys and explain to yet a third person....she understands and says I see notes here and we have a king room for you. I asked if we could go ahead and get the room number but she said no not yet we have to wait for the people to check out. We check our bags with tags and leave them at the desk again. We then spend another wonderful day exploring the city. We return around 9pm again and another person is working and has absolutely no idea of anything that was supposed to be done for us. I asked for any other room then the one we were in first and they had a queen room available. I took it after being so tired. The lady gave me the managers email and said he would speak to her for us. I will be reaching out but now that we checked out sat morning I dont believe we will be compensated for this terrible lack of communication. We never even got to unpack our bags.

MMochi’s MomThe hotel was ok. It was very near to family. So it was convenient. The staff was extremely nice. Some f the clientele was rowdy and there was a smell of smoke. The safe did constantly bleach the floors to get rid of the odor. I would stay again.
