I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful homestay in the 杨柳青 area of Tianjin, and I can't recommend it highly enough. As a stressed entrepreneur and doctor traveling from Shanghai, this trip was a much-needed break for me, and the homestay exceeded all my expectations.
我最近有幸住在天津杨柳青地区的一家很棒的民宿，我强烈推荐这里。作为一名从上海来的压力很大的企业家和医生，这次旅行对我来说是一段急需的休息时间，而这家民宿远远超出了我的预期。
The 杨柳青 area is incredibly peaceful, offering a serene environment that is perfect for reflection and deep thinking. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing a tranquil oasis where I could relax and recharge.

The design of the homestay is very traditional, showcasing beautiful elements of Chinese architecture. For foreigners wanting to experience authentic Chinese design and culture, this is a fantastic place to stay. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, from the cozy furnishings to the tasteful decor. It felt like a home away from home, which is exactly what you need when you're looking to unwind.

The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made my stay even more enjoyable. They were attentive and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which I truly appreciated.

If you check my other reviews, you'll see that I often travel by train to various cities from Shanghai and stay at different places. Out of all the places I've stayed, this homestay in Tianjin stands out as one of the best. I am confident that I will return here in the future whenever I need a peaceful retreat.

PPengguna TetamuEnjoyed our two night stay.The hotel staff is beyond amazing. Very kind and welcoming. Check in was smooth and fast , the staff is very kind,fast and helpful in answering any questions and addressing any issues.
On second day, had an emergency travel to Beijing, Ms Pang Ping and Wang helped organize transport to airport to get subway to Beijing, she kept checking in to see where we had reached on our return back and organized for a car to pick us up since we arrived late at night. She handed us over to the evening staff smoothly to help us with the late night arrival back to the hotel. Mr Wang our driver to the airport spoke English and was helpful in giving us directions to the subway and train station.
The driver, Mr. Chen, very kind man, was already at the airport by the time we arrived to pick us up.
When we got to the hotel, he helped to get a refreshment from the hotel restaurant.
We had an early morning flight and Ms Song Jia and Ms Wang Qian were very kind to give us a wake up call at 4:30am, organize for us a car to the airport and helped me us with our luggage .
The hotel stay overall was comfortable and nice. Slept in the business double room. The rooms are spacious, very clean and are cleaned daily. There’s a self service laundry room at the hotel.
Excellent service and staff.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Excellent facilities and totally worth the stay. Recommended for travelers who want a quiet night stay and also close hotel to the airport 🥰😘

SSebongbongieThe hotel staff are very friendly, hotel lobby smells amazing, there is a gym on the 2nd floor, laundry room on the same floor is open 24/7, and the rooms are pretty clean. Breakfast serves decent food though mostly Chinese style cuisine like (tianjin buns, jian bing, they also have porridge, soup noodles, bread & butter, fruits, coffee and yogurt etc) the front desk ladies also kindly helped us extend our check out for a few hours. They also gave us water bottles free of charge upon request. The beds are soft, bathrooms are clean with complete amenities, shampoo and body wash, hairdryer’s available, the room also has nice big window where you can sit by and look outside. The exterior of the hotel looks very bright with many lights and the hotel name clearly written on top for easier navigation. The lobby also connects to a cafe for coffee lovers and has rental power-bank stations incase your phone run out of battery. The location of the hotel is in he ping Lu, very close to many tourist spots, the closest one being the 5th avenue 五大道. Overall amazing experience 10/10 would recommend, made our stay in tianjin much smoother! ⭐️

PPaulo.WuVery affordable hotel with breakfast included! Clean and quiet! The only downside is a little but far from restaurant and shopping areas. You need to walk about 20 minutes to nearest restaurant areas. A bit difficult to get a taxi, probably need to use Didi app to get a driver!

PPengguna TetamuThis stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Tianjin for the first time, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍.
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive.
During our stay, after we went out one day, my son suddenly realised that his phone was missing, which made us extremely anxious. We thought it might have been left either in the hotel room or in the DiDi, so we immediately contacted the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and acted right away by going up to the room to check for us. Thankfully, the phone was indeed left in the room. Their quick response and willingness to help gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to continue our trip without worry. We are truly grateful for their kindness and support.
The hotel is very new and exceptionally clean, and having a washing machine inside the room makes the stay especially convenient for families and longer visits.
Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Cjia to anyone visiting Tianjin.

The room is clean and bed is comfortable but the inner curtains need to be fixed. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I return to Tianjin.

RRalf GuianusThe location is excellent. You are about 5 minutes walk from the Five Great Avenues, and the subway is just outside the building, although on the other side, and the bus stop is just across the street.
The check in is also contactless. All the information you need will be given online(through WeChat for me since I've been using it). Probably the easiest check in you will find in China.
The room was very clean. I've heard the view was great but I only got a view of the opposite building, so I guess it depends on your luck. Nevertheless, all the things you need will be there, including a fridge and washing machine. Not to mention a mall is right below you, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores.
For the cleaning, someone will come around noon and the owner will text you about it beforehand.

PPengguna TetamuWe planned a two-day Valentine’s trip to Jizhuo International Ski Resort, the Jizhuo Kart Cave, and the glass bridge. It turned out to be one of the best trips we’ve ever had — and surprisingly low cost.
What touched me most was the way they welcomed us. We visited during Chinese New Year, which is usually family time, yet they treated us like honored guests. We even had the chance to meet the entire hotel owner’s family. Instead of feeling like customers, we felt like part of their celebration.
As foreigners who have been far away from home for a long time, that warmth meant more than words can explain. My girlfriend felt exactly the same. It didn’t feel like we were staying at a hotel — it felt like home.
The grandmother personally cooked dinner and breakfast for us. It wasn’t just food; it was love, care, and sincerity served on a plate. They even took us to the Jizhuo Kart Cave themselves because there weren’t many cars available. They didn’t have to do that, but they chose to.
Overall, this was not just a trip. It was an experience filled with kindness, culture, and unforgettable memories that we will carry in our hearts for a long time.
