Sheraton Stockholm Hotel

I stayed here with my mom who is from Sweden and is 79 years old but was travelling from the UK where she now lives. We were visiting family, both in and around Stockholm. This was an important trip for her, and me and we really needed it to go well. Given such high expectations and unusual requirements because of my mom’s her age, we were really surprised by how well this hotel delivered and absolutely delighted with our stay. The location was flawless and allowed her to see and do things nearby unassisted, while also allowing us to use the train from the main train station 5 minutes away to go to a nearby town, as well as within walking distance to meet her old school friends in a quintessentially Swedish coffee shop in the centre of town. Breakfast was very authentically Swedish, but it was a bit odd that they didn’t have limpa bread. Otherwise an excellent selection of Scandinavian food that was delicious and filling. The view to the Stadshuset (Stoholm’s City Hall) where the majority of the Nobel prizes are given out from in the restaurant was really charming. The rooms were spacious and finished to a really high standard. The service and the staff were fantastic, including Marcus who met us at the door and helped with out bags, as well as Hannah and George. We cannot thank the whole team enough for thoughtful and awesome work to make such an important trip so memorable, easy and enjoyable.

Location is good near train station and shopping area but hotel looks old tho think they are going through some renovation inside, my room was spacious but a little hint once enter room it’s treasure hunting super irritating haha I have to hunt for my bedroom slippers toothbrush and kettle 😂 please ask for city view if possible cos once I open my window blind I’m like a prisoner inside looking out to an enclosed hotel rooms walls no view at all (please refer to my pictures) also I think it’s the European staff working culture and attitude cleaners are not detailed same as Marriott Denmark where I came from haha they gave me a half used small bottle hand cream then half side of slippers disappearing then some days they left their dirty cloth on my sink counter 😫 also not sure if they clean the toilet thoroughly or not cos if yes they would have noticed a faulty shower head and reported it to be fixed right? .. 5 days and the water is still sprouting out each time I turned it on goodness me! 😆(I wish I can post video of it) Hotel food so so only meatball super salty eating area a bit dirty but a few serving staffs are very polite but was kind of disappointed with their hotel manager and security personnel I was molested during breakfast and none can help me out unless I make a police report it was a sucks day for me but overall Stockholm Sheraton can stay

Really enjoyed the spacious newly renovated room with big comfortable beds. Location is very good and most sights including central station is walkable. We were not inconvenienced by the renovation at all.

Tastefully renovated rooms but lobby and common areas have yet to be worked on.

I booked the room on May 10 for a business trip and paid online as I booked from online. When I checked in, the hotel charged my credit card 500 SEK as a deposit for the minibar. So far, the money has not been returned. I specifically returned to the hotel on May 24 to confirm whether it was consumed by the minibar. The front desk of the hotel verified that it would ask the financial staff to refund the credit card. Today is the June,27th. Does the refund in Sweden need to go to Mars firstly? Of course, the location and the food are good, which is positive!

The hotel was not like a 5-star hotel; it was old, but the location was excellent.
