A bog standard Premier Inn, the staff were friendly when we arrived for a 2 night stay. We checked in and we were in an accessible room on the ground floor. There is definitely a damp/slightly urine smell to the hotel, it is not overwhelming but definitely there in the background, even having the window open for 48 hours never truly got rid of it. I would question the accessibility of the room, the bed was very low, I struggled to get up from it, I did find the mattress a bit lumpy and not quite a king size. The bathroom had plenty of room for a wheelchair and plenty of grab handles, but it had a bath with a shower over it, not sure if you were in a wheelchair how you would have a shower. The few time we went past reception other when we arrived there was not member of staff behind the desk, I am sure we could have got hold of them if needed. The room was warm even with the window open, but there was a notice to say you could get a fan from reception if you needed one, didn’t bother as it was just about bearable. Being on the ground floor we were next to the car park, and with the window open it was quite noisy and heard people coming back late, an argument between a couple and people checking in late, as a light sleeper this woke me up but my husband slept through all of it. As the hotel is surrounded by car deal-ships and one petrol station there is not a lot around there apart from the Brewers Fayre next door, so unless you drive to places there is not much within walking distance. This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel and we stayed this time as it was the cheapest option in the area, about 15 minutes away from where we needed to be so perfect for us. If I was in the area again I would still stay in the hotel again
