Nice warm welcome, Plenty of parking. Room was a good size with massive bed and a good size flat screen TV. Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom could have been a bit more spacious and the shower had very low water pressure and only just hot enough. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was good all laid on to help ourselves with plenty to choose from. Would have no problem staying here again.

Booked Baldwin House for a stay over as we booked a family trip to West Midlands Safari Park with myself my wife, 4 year old and 6 month year old baby Having visited the park during the day and had dinner we headed to the hotel at approximately 10pm not knowing last check in was at 8pm as this wasn't made obvious - an easy oversight. I called the hotel when we got there as it looked closed and the phone was answered by the owner Dave with a very rude Yes!?. I ignored this, and asked why the hotel was closed and he began to rudely explain how the hotel in closes at 8pm and I am lucky he is even answering the phone! So I apologised profusely to which he said, Yes you should be! he then said you are lucky you have a baby with you and proceeded to disconnect the call! He then came down and opened the door and shouted at me saying ”Where's the rest of them!” at the point I felt I had been disrespected enough and was ready to turn back or find another hotel, but had to think of my 6 month old. We then grabbed our things and came to the front desk where matters got worse! He saw my 2 children and said the rooms only booked for 1 child! and I explained I can show him the booking, he said ”You can show me what you want, I don't care!”. After 5 mins he realised that I was correct and the booking was for 2 children on his system. He then said I didn't book with ********** and told me I booked with *******! I said the booking comes across as ******* but he called me a liar!

I chanced upon this place Sunday lunchtime when I was looking for a bite to eat but although the fare was OK if a bit pricey the staff were not very attentive. Ordered a coffee and bacon sandwich. When the coffee came, there was no milk (as you would normally expect to get in any other cafe or coffee shop). I had to go back to the serving hatch to request some. When the sandwich came, I wasn't asked whether I wanted sauce and again I had to specifically request this. Finally, the staff seem to have very little local knowledge- maybe they weren't local- and didn't know whether the road outside towards Bewdley river bridge was open for pedestrians (as it turned out it was). The staff were quite busy but I don't think this is a valid excuse for the not very good service.

First time in a travelogue but overall very positive. The overall price reflects the quality of the hotel but the hotel gave us what we required which was a comfortable bed and a great night's sleep.

On arrival, I could park my car behind the house in a parking bay, where it felt very secure and safe. David welcomed me, and showed me to my room, explaining how to order breakfast for the morning. My room was a lovely size, with clean bedding, towels, tea making facilities and a television. Wi-Fi is available. I had my own toilet and shower. Having had a lovely sleep, the breakfast was served on time and had everything I ordered. The breakfast was cooked really well and I was offered juice, tea/coffee and cereal also. I would definitely return here and would recommend it to anyone.
