La Sirenetta Park Hotel

We stayed here for three nights while visiting the island. Great hotel, super pretty and lovely plants and flowers everywhere. We were picked up from the port & dropped back after check-out which was super great. We had a sea view room at the front of the hotel with a lovely balcony & view of the beach and the ocean. The room was very clean, and breakfast was great in the mornings served on the terrace. Great espresso and loved the fresh croissants. The staff were all super friendly, attentive and were very helpful reserving us a table for dinner one night at Osservatorio. There is a lovely boutique shop attached to the hotel too, which has some great items sold by local artists/makers. The only thing about this hotel is its proximity to the beach/nightclub at the end of the *****, which is also affiliated with the hotel. We were warned at check-in that our room would be affected by noise until 3am from the club. We did stay in August during the holiday weekend and also the summer festival time, so we accepted this and just used earplugs. To be honest we didn’t get back until late from watching the volcano each night, so this didn’t bother us at all, but i would say if you are affected by noise and the nightclub has an event on, then definitely don’t book a sea view room and opt for a room at the back of the grounds! Otherwise its excellent and we had a great stay. Thanks so much. Can’t wait to return to Stromboli! Also there is a great boutique shop just down the beachfront from the hotel, Gioacchino.

Loved this hotel though our stay was a short one. Emailed the hotel before we arrived and they ha£ their Tuk Tuk meet us off the ferry and transport us to our hotel. I had made a mistake with our return ferry tickets and they helped us sort this out, and organise a boat trip to see Stromboli. The hotel itself is charming. The rooms are very spacious. We had booked a sea view and we had a lovely terrace where the sea was directly outside and you could sit listening to the sea - no cars so no real traffic! Such a beautiful chilled place!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel picked us up from the ferry port with a Piaggio! Great fun! The reception staff were very accommodating. The room we were allocated at the top of the resort had brilliant views from the terrace at the front. The reception staff booked a taxi to take us to the shuttle point for the Osservatorio. The sea water pool was superb with lots of loungers that could be moved into the shade. The bar was very good with attentive staff. The breakfast were very good with a great selection. We ate at the restaurant one night and the meal was stunning. Such a shame we were only there for two nights, would have loved to stay longer. A special mention must be made of the manager who was excellent and the hotel is a great reflection on him and all his staff.

On arrival Diego, greeted us warmly and spoke excellent English as my Italian is non existent. Every question was answered fully and nothing was too much effort. Very helpful. Loved it. If I went back to the islands I would definitely stay there.

We wanted to visit the hotel for our next holidays and the person at reception did not allow us and kept saying that we “didn’t say good-morning” and that we could not have a look at the restaurant of the hotel. We will not spend our next holidays there, because we want to find kind and polite people.

From the pickup to the drop off at the ferry dock everything about our brief stay was excellent. The place is spotless. The location is far enough from the 'main street' of Stromboli to be peaceful, but a ten minute walk will get you into the action - such as it is on Stromboli. The manager was completely focused on our being satisfied. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

La struttura dell'hotel appare ancora bella e piacevole, ma non corrisponde alla sostanza. Nella stanza non c'era nemmeno un piccolo bollitore per farsi un the e la coperta del letto matrimoniale era stata tagliata a metà per servire anche per due letti singoli. Le colazioni erano davvero povere. La nave che porta l'acqua si ferma per mezze giornate davanti all'hotel e la sera l'effluvio dei suoi motori avvolge la zona. A parte poche eccezioni il personale, al di là della correttezza delle parole, dava costantemente l'impressione di fare molta fatica a sopportare gli ospiti, tutti ugualmente indesiderati. Come se non bastasse...Nel bagno della nostra camera c'era una vasca, attrezzata anche per farsi la doccia. Il fondo della vasca era scivoloso, perciò un malaugurato giorno, facendo la doccia, per muovermi con maggior sicurezza, mi sono tenuta al maniglione che avrebbe dovuto essere d'aiuto a chi, seduto nella vasca, avesse voluto sollevarsi. Mal me ne è incolto: il maniglione ha ceduto e sono scivolata battendo la testa. Per fortuna non ho perso conoscenza, ma il colpo è stato forte. Quando mi sono recata alla reception per raccontare quanto accaduto e la mia preoccupazione per le conseguenze del colpo alla testa, la responsabile, che credo sia anche la proprietaria, non si è minimamente scusata per l'evidente incuria e il danno da essa provocato, mi ha invece proposto una cremina all'arnica per il dolore e il trasferimento in una stanza di pari livello con sola doccia. Ero ancora sotto shock e sul momento ho solo declinato le sue proposte. Più tardi, riflettendo sull'accaduto, mi è sembrato che la preoccupazione della signora fosse quella di spostare l'attenzione sulla causa della mia caduta: dal cedimento del maniglione corroso a una mia presunta instabilità. La mia percezione è di aver trovato scarsa umanità, che comunque non si può pretendere, ma anche un grave esempio di scarsa correttezza nella gestione della struttura. Se si potesse dare una valutazione inferiore a uno lo farei.

Wir waren in diesem Hotel für zwei Tage. Und es war auf der Reise das schlechteste von 6 Hotels. Aber die Insel Stromboli ist auch etwas anders als die anderen. Sie hat irgendwie einen entspannteren Charme und ist auch einfacher was nicht negativ ist sondern eher so einen Karibik touch hat. Das Hotel ist eins der größten. Wir haben es gewählt wegen des Pools um Nachmittags mal ne Stunde zu entspannen. Der Poolbereich war auch ganz okay. Die Liegen ok. Das Hotel ist schon was älter. Die Zimmer sehr spartanisch. Einigermaßen sauber. Bett ne Katastrophe. Bretthart. Dünnes Kissen. Das Frühstück war wirklich NICHT dolle. Die Bewertungen das dieses so toll und vielfältig ist kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Am zweiten Tag waren wir am Hafen frühstücken. Das Personal aber ist sehr nett. Für das was wir erwartet haben war es im ganzen Ok. Ne Woche Standurlaub möchte ich dort nicht machen. Aber für den Anlass des Insebesuches (Vulkantrecking) war alles akzeptabel.
