The view from my room was also not as captivating as I had hoped. Nestled in an enviable location, this hotel has rightfully earned its popularity among locals. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a team of amiable staff who extended a warm welcome. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, and we highly recommend trying the in-house nasi goreng. The spacious rooms, while lacking in some amenities, were otherwise comfortable. However, we did notice a slight odor of dampness and dust that was slightly unpleasant. One minor quibble we had was with the lighting - the dimming lights were not strong enough to provide sufficient illumination, especially after sunset. Additionally, we were disappointed to find only one pair of slippers provided in the room despite booking for two guests in each of our two rooms. Was this a cost-cutting measure? Our biggest issue arose when we arranged for the hotel's car service to take us to the airport upon departure. The driver first dropped off our parents at the domestic terminal, but it wasn't until later that he informed us of an additional charge to take us to the international terminal - despite the short distance between them. We had already paid a premium for the hotel's chartered car service, and it was disappointing that the driver did not disclose this additional charge upfront. While we understand the importance of profit margins, we believe it's essential to prioritize transparency and honesty with guests. Overall, this hotel was a decent choice for the price we paid. Despite the minor drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Stayed in one of their deluxe rooms (one level above standard) and it was worth the little extra money. My room was clean, spacious, and surprisingly quiet although the hotel was facing a busy street. Options for breakfast were good and best of all, the front desk staffs were friendly and helpful. It’s located about 5 min by car from Tunjungan Plaza but the price is much cheaper than the hotels in TP area. Can be a good option if you want to stay in the center of the city but with lower budget.

We stayed in a quaint historical hotel on our 2nd leg Surabaya tour. The heritage building was used to be the wooden matchsticks factory dated since 1928 and had been renovated to meet modern hotel standard. We like our rooms in terms of its size, cool aircon, amnenities (too bad no mini fridge) and the worth it price. We love the ground floor where The Arch bistro is located. So beautiful and pleasing the eyes. It is located in chinatown area that quite busy during day time but so dark and quiet when the evening falls. Although we don’t like its tiny parking spaces and slow service (from kitchen staff) during breakfast and dinner, but basically we enjoyed our stay. It is recommended also if you don’t mind being waking up in the middle of the night (up tp dawn) because suddenly hearing unexplainable noises of moving furnitures upstais and someone’s whistling down the corridors - while when we check it out, no one’s there. It was one of a lifetime experience indeed!

Hotel bagus, bersih,, cuma kalo dari luar terlihat bangunan kuno,, sya dapat kamar lantai paling atas lantai 9,, di lorong sepi seperti gak ada penghuni lain.. Cuma sya agak merinding aja kalo nginep dihotel ini sendirian,, untungnya sama suami..Tapi over all hotel bagus,kamar juga bagus, bersih, kamar mandi juga bagus lantai nya marmer semua,,
