The hotel is situated very near the Chayuanchang Metro and the walking street. It's not far to the places of interest by train or bus. There are lots of shops and eateries around the hotel. The room was large and comfortable, except the room window cannot be opened out for fresh air. There was a small fan in the room to circulate the air. Breakfast spread was good and some of the dishes on the menu changes every day.

👥 Staff is super friendly and helpful
📍The location is great, near from the subway, Pingjiang Rd and railway station
🛏️ The bed and pillows are comfortable and cozy
🚭The “bad” part: I booked a nonsmoking room, but the room that I had smelled like somebody smoke some minutes before 🥴 (750) In addition, only one of the contacts (European style) has energy
The carpet needs to be cleaned, it has stains in several areas and looks bad
Excellent Stay at AnShe Hotel (Suzhou Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road Branch)
I recently stayed at AnShe Hotel (Suzhou Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road Branch) and had an excellent experience. All the front desk staff, including the manager, were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a technical issue with our room, and the hotel graciously upgraded us for free.
The hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable. It will definitely be my first choice if I visit Suzhou again.

Xingle Hotel is near Lindun Lu Line 1 Metro Station which has a connecting line with Line 6. It is very convenient to stay here since it is very near shopping centers, convenience stores, tourist places and embedded in a sea of food stalls and restaurants.
As for us who have business to attend to in Suzhou Expo Center, it is one train ride away approximately 10-15 mins including walks.
The room is so neat and the bathroom has an electronic toilet with complementary soap, shampoo, brush, toothpaste, towels, etc. They even have complimentary bread upon check in. And, what I really love is they are cleaning the room everyday and changing towels! Free water and tea were also given as complimentary.
The staff is very hospitable. They even connected me to their wechat so if there's any question, you can just message them. They are very polite as well.
The hotel and the vicinity or neighborhood is well secured. You can really find the hotel so fast since its location is strategically placed in the corner of commercial streets.
They also have a bakery downstairs which is a must try! Their breads are superb and also their beverages.

I stayed in the old town of Suzhou and this is a friendly, comfortable place to stay and great value! The owner spoke good English and was very helpful. I love the location in a very local street and super close to the old city attractions. Also not so far from the train station and a pleasant 30 or 40 minute walk if that is what you are into, like I am! I highly recommend this hotel!

I really liked the staff but the room I got was smelly at first but Ms Sima changed it for me and was very helpful.

It is well-located and has a nice infrastructure, but it looks like they are not taking care of the details anymore, so the door of the bathroom didn't work, the kitchen started getting rusty, and the bathroom walls look like they're dirty. Has potential but needs more love.
RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.
DDean Cortez📍 Location is quite convenient, jus next to the subway.
👩💻 Front desk were kind, and fast.
☕️ Breakfast was a mixture between western and Chinese cuisine
🛏️ Bed was comfortable.
Id recommend this to anyone! Had an amazing time!
Suzhou sangat cantik. Saya sangat menyukainya. Saya harap saya boleh datang lagi jika saya mempunyai peluang!
PPengguna TetamuThe hotel has excellent facilities, and the health club is particularly impressive, including a large indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub and a well-kitted gym. The staff are very friendly and attentive all round the hotel. The room was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. The buffet restaurant had plenty to offer for breakfast, particularly on the local selection.
PPengguna TetamuThere were a few ants in the first room we booked, but after a few screams and a phonecall we were quickly moved to another ant-free room. The staff were so helpful, kind and willing to communicate in English to the best of their ability. They made plenty of gestures with bowls of fruit, fragrant sacks and even a personal delivery of the food menu when we couldn't find the English menu on the TV. Their frequent arrivals had us jumping in our robes to grab the door every so often, but each time we were grateful to receive such thoughtful snacks and smells. Lovely place. Would visit again.
Qqueen_kooIf you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me.
1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants.
2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind!
3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed.
There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!!
Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists.
I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them.
Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

Sangat Baik
PPengguna TetamuReally beautiful place. It looks to be brand new - maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but it certainly looks new. The room (a suite) was very spacious, very clean. Just a very beautiful place that fit well with the surroundings. The whole building was impeccably clean.
I rated the service 5/5 because the owners were very nice, and largely left us alone. The family was processing tea and were quite busy - check-in was extremely quick, check-out too. I'm not looking for hospitality, so being left alone suited us fine - this isn't a criticism at all! The rooms don't really come with much extra (tea, coffee etc.), just a couple of bottles of water, so best to know that before you book if you usually expect this, but we didn't so we were fine with it.
You can buy really good tea from them (maybe we timed it well as we arrived at the peak tea-picking time). The owners were very kind and let us try some, and it's really good tea - we ended up buying some.
Food was pretty good, but again they were quite busy and have specific times that food is available, and no menu, so best to check ahead with them (again, really taking into account that they were super busy processing tea when we were there). Absolutely not a problem as there are so many great restaurants around too.
TV in the room had VOD but without VIP, so if you're looking to watch movies or anything best to bring your own (including HDMI cable as our TV didn't have one).
Location excellent. Space for maybe 4 cars to park, right next to a small hill, very close to the pick-up point for the sightseeing bus to take you up to Xishan, and surrounded by lots of restaurants, B+Bs etc. so if you like coffee, there's a shop just down the road. Very beautiful surroundings - you will be shocked that you're so close to Suzhou as there's absolutely no evidence that you're anywhere near a city!
All in all, really enjoyable. Amazing price for a suite (around Y500 per night) and one of the better homestay-style places we've stayed in. Highly recommended.
