Upon check in the problems began, at first the receptionist said they could not find my booking. Upon making phone calls she then found it in their system höher it had been cancelled for some unknown reason and was then quizzed if I had cancelled it, which I found to be a silly question being as I was standing waiting to check in. Was then asked ti sit and wait while some more calls etc where made. Was told they had sorted a room but would need to pay for it as they could not see I had paid. I explained I had booked and paid for the room through *********** and even showed the receipt and my booking confirmation sent to me directly by the hotel. This didn’t seem to be good enough for this individual who then quizzed me if the money had come out of my bank account and asked me to check, I found this particularly rude and inappropriate. Was eventually given my room key and headed up.
Upon walking in I was highly disappointed the room lights where bright white lights and very harsh for a room to relax and rest in, the telephone and hair dryer I believe where white once upon a time but had now stained a yellowish brown colour. However the absolute worse thing was upon going in the bathroom on the ceiling was black mould! This is completely unacceptable in any room that is meant to be fit for human habitation let alone a hotel room.
Over all the experience was very much the worse of any hotel or paid accommodation I have stayed in and will advise anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs!
