A terrible disappointment! After spotting this hotel on ***********, we were excited to stay here. From the outside, the gardens and hotel looked fantastic. First impressions were also supported well by the warm greeting we received from the lovely ( french?) Receptionist. Sadly, our excitement was short lived. Heading to room 250, passing torn wallpaper , cups outside doors, washing littered in the corridors and food trays left in hallways. Inspecting our room it was a complete let down. Blood on the side of the bed, dust and dirt all over the room, cracked tiles in the bathroom, a leaky toilet... The list went on. Approaching reception, we discretely shared our concerns where we were afforded another room 259. The room replicated the one previously declined where we chose to exit the hotel and put the whole thing down to bad luck. The receptionist who greeted us was very professional and polite, apologising for our poor experience where it wasn't her fault. However, this experience left us with little choice but to head back home where our much needed weekend away had to be aborted. Our late departure left no time to find an alternative room or enjoy any perks that go with a hotel stay. This hotel is just too big and clearly in need of a make over. Photos don't replicate the dirt and grime we saw first hand.

First impressions on arrival were good and communal areas nice. Checked in just before 4pm and on entry to one of our 3 rooms found unclean and not made up from the previous guest. Given another room 2 doors away from my room even though we were told by reception we couldn't have rooms close together when we asked at check in. All rooms were very dark as most of the lighting didn't work and reliant on 2 lamps, only one in my friend's room. Black mould on sealant of bath and used tissue in the bin of my room. Beds all seen better days and wire springs could be felt, no support and definitely needs replacing. Nasty brown staining on one of the bed bases and fabric torn, all clearly visible. Lack of staff in bar resulting in us abandoning having a drink after 20mins of waiting and after telling reception staff who said they would fetch someone. Attempts to re enter our rooms failed resulting in long walk back to reception to get new card keys. This happened 3 times during our stay of one night, we had booked for 2 but left after one. The restaurant experience was sadly as bad as the rest, the whole menu was printed on a A5 size paper with font being no more than 9, the dimly lit space made it very difficult to read so we took a photo on our phones and enlarged it. On asking for a cocktail menu were told the bar doesn't make cocktails, ordered a bottle of wine and some water which came in a pint glass. We orded fish and chips which looked almost pale grey in the poor lighting, no golden crispy batter or chips. Asked for mayonnaise and told the hotel didn't have any. On .leaving the restaurant we were stopped by a member of staff who said we needed to pay, we explained we had given the room number on entering the restaurant and expected to be charged when checking out as is usual. We were told no payment must be made now. This hotel needs some serious investment and management, the staff appear to be ìmmune to complaints and respond with churned out statements that mean nothing let alone address the endless issues. My friends and I were expecting a relaxing 2 night break and instead had stress and disappointment for 1 night we actually stayed. For those that need good Internet connection this hotel is not for you. During our short stay none of us had phone signal or continuous Internet. Sadly I cannot recommend this hotel.

Booked a 3 night break here with my 2 children. Great leisure facilities. Well equipped cardio gym and separate weights room. Not found in many hotels. Clean and quiet pool with sauna and steam room. Great breakfast selection and friendly staff. A hotel for us to remember and visit again another time. ⭐️

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in! After several cleaning requests room still dusty and full hairs! When you request daily cleaning only bedding gets done/towels replaced. No hoovering, nothing wiped eg table tops, bath, sink, toilet

Hotel about to shut down for good within next month, been totally ran into the ground, feel sorry for the staff. I wonder if about to become an asylum hotel ? A real shame as it was a great place in a beautiful part of the world ! Facilities have really suffered

- Restaurant service is appalling, - Main course ordered at 18:30 finally arrived at 20:30. - Chicken was cooked rare and the teenager serving first blamed the issue on the meat being thigh meat and then on the marinade. - Large chicken wings ordered, small portion received and then a vain attempt made by another teenager to pass it off as a large portion. - No ice cream left mid week before 7 in July ! - I wouldn’t come back if you paid me
