The room cleaning was just okay, and they didn't replenish the tea bags! The location is convenient, though it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the MRT station in the afternoon. There are lots of great food options nearby!

The Family Room is just massive. Initially we had reservations when service desk gal mentioned our room will be in B1. B1? Who has a room down at the basement? Turns out it was massive and a very neat and tidy room. Service gal during my check in was a charm, took pains to explain to us the details plus what to enjoy in Taichung. Would recommend this to any family of 4 coming for a short stay in Taichung. Btw... Carrefour and Family mart all within 3 mins walk.

The hotel is conveniently located near a FamilyMart, with plenty of dining options in the vicinity. A Carrefour is also right next door. Fengjia Night Market is just a 15-minute walk away. While parking directly at the entrance isn't very convenient, they do offer a partnered parking lot.

The room wasn't large, but it was comfortable, cozy, and clean. The front desk service was excellent. The breakfast, at 150, was quite decent; among the four options, I'd recommend the hamburger. The partner parking lot is located about 100 meters away.

I stayed in a balcony room this time. The decor and overall environment were new and lovely. While it was a bit on the small side, it was perfectly adequate for my needs. However, the soundproofing wasn't great, especially when modified cars passed by late at night; you'd definitely need to be exhausted or bring earplugs to sleep undisturbed. On the positive side, the plated breakfast was delicious. The complimentary 22-hour parking was a huge bonus, and the parking lot was conveniently close, only about 100 meters away. Plus, Fengjia Night Market is just a 15-minute walk.

Upon checking into the room this time, I immediately noticed a toothpaste cap left by the previous guest in a very visible spot. It made me seriously question if the cleaning staff had actually done a thorough job, and frankly, it made me feel quite uneasy about the room's cleanliness. The check-in staff on the first afternoon was quite cold and unwelcoming. However, the check-out staff on the second day was excellent and very helpful. The two stars I'm giving in this review are solely for her wonderful service; otherwise, my rating would have been much lower. On a positive note, the complimentary parking is a huge advantage. In a city center where parking is notoriously expensive and difficult to find, having this amenity is a real bonus. If you're considering staying here and can overlook other issues, the free parking alone makes it a worthwhile option. My experience five years ago was much better; back then, we even received a complimentary upgrade to a larger bed for roughly the same price. This time, however, the room type felt exceptionally small. It's possible there was a special promotion during my previous visit, though I can't be sure.

This place offers excellent value for money. It's clean, comfortable, and the location is very convenient. The lady at the front desk was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful; I'm very grateful to her for resolving many issues for us. I hadn't originally booked breakfast but decided to add it last minute. To my pleasant surprise, what seemed like a standard Western breakfast was actually quite good, with careful attention to detail really shining through. 😊

The room was bright and comfortable, and the transportation was quite convenient. The 24-hour Carrefour supermarket was just around the corner, and Fengjia Night Market was about a 15-minute walk away. This will definitely be my top choice.

Everything was good and went smoothly. The family room was in the basement, and although it didn't have windows, the ventilation and air conditioning were sufficient. The kids loved it, and the space was very large, easily accommodating five people. There were plenty of towels. The only minor drawback was the presence of small mosquitoes; they didn't bite, but it was a mystery where they came from.

The location is fantastic, and the room is clean and comfortable. It's about a 15-minute walk to Fengjia Night Market. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Taichung.

Hotel Mapp boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to Fengjia Night Market, with superb local amenities. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and they even offer free parking. The hotel's design style is minimalist and chic, predominantly in crisp white, and the overall cleanliness was truly impressive. For this stay, I booked the LOHAS Travel Map Double Room, which featured expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offering fantastic city views, as well as a spacious balcony – perfect for unwinding. Should I have another opportunity to visit Taichung, Hotel Mapp will definitely be at the top of my list.
