The front desk kindly offered a complimentary upgrade to a quad room, which was incredibly spacious. The communal facilities were also excellent, especially the terrace boasting a beautiful view. The location is fantastic, with many restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

Spacious room with well thought design. Wooden flooring, showering area is huge and toilet bowl has the cleaning facility. Aesop hair, body and hand wash are great! Though the hostel is further away from the train station but its near the food and shopping areas. Once u get the hang of how the bus works and where the bus stops are, this is definitely a good place to stay! Great view facing the tainan art museum.

I stayed in a superior room. The room is big and spacious. It is clean. It has a separate area for toilet and shower which is a good design for 2 occupants staying in the same room. The location is convenient, opposite the hotel is local market. There are alot of eateries nearby, within walking distance. We could just use Google map to navigate. I am impressed with the toiletries provided. I am pampered by Aesop products and felt refreshed after a shower. The breakfast provided is breakfast set, and it is delicious. We could choose from 6 options from the menu. The staff are helpful. I like the idea of loaning the book as part of the check-in, which spoke about Tainan people. Tainan has a rich history, and U.IJ is proud to share about it. I could sense the strong feelings towards the Tainan. I want to go back to the hotel again if i have the opportunity to visit Tainan again.

This hotel is surrounded by many nice local restaurants and shops - I especially loved the wet market "You-Ai Market" next to hotel, where local people buy vegetables and seafood, ready-to-go traditional foods. Some stalls were also run by young locals offering hand-dripped coffee, crepes, tapas, cocktails etc. It's a place you can have mixed food culture. Our twin room was specious and clean. I stayed with friends as a group trip & we enjoyed going to 3/F free guest lounge. They have a fully equipped kitchen & large terrace you can use any time to relax. Highly recommended hotel.

Instead of exchanging bottled water at the reception, it would be good to have water dispenser at the lift lobby.

Great hotel! The location is great, you can literally walk to most of the scenic spots in Tainan, and the lady at the counter is kind and nice.

The soundproofing wasn't great.

Boutique hostel. It was incredibly comfortable, and I'm definitely considering a king room for my next visit.

Couldn't say much, you just have to experience it yourself. Location are great, staff are friendly and the hotel are superb.And of course, my family loves it here too. When I'm in Tainan, I will surely come back here again.

Good location with many cafes around

Nice modern hotel / hostel in the city with nice big kitchen and relaxing area (unfortunately on the 3rd floor, without a room key or the help from reception not able to get there). Room was spacious. Toothbrush, laundry etc. need to pay for it. Got a voucher of 50 ********* dollar to spend at the hotel. Very strict with check out time (11am). Got a call at 11:02 that I need to check out. Free water in the room available. Overall happy with the hotel, room and service.
