"In terms of cost performance, it is completely satisfactory. If you like the original ecological environment, it may be even more so. We booked a twin room. When booking, it was written that each room could accommodate two people. I also thought that I would add a separate fee for the child, but I didn't charge. There was a casual bed under the window of the room. It cost 200 baht to add a quilt, which was just enough for three people. Dinner was early to catch the flight, so I bought instant noodles at the front desk when I arrived here. At this time, I don’t know if the person at the front desk was the boss, but he was very friendly and patiently helped us choose instant noodles."

"Budget hotel for a quiet holiday, nice territory, restaurant is not expensive, big swimming pool, good rooms, didn't like plumbing, everything is too simple in the bathroom, well and the floor in the room is shabby. If this were replaced it would be super. The sea is nearby but we went to other beaches. The location is far from everything. But there is a taxi nearby."

"The area is very pleasant, the houses are nice. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious house, no TV, strange furniture in the living room as if street-like, but on the terrace comfortable chairs and table. The refrigerator, the kitchen table with plates and knife, the stoves are not available. For breakfast, a large portion of omlet, delicious, several options - took another scrumbled egg with bean, cooked coffee. Swimming was riding a car, the local beach was not seen, looking for uncrowded options, on the front line of the hotel with its long territory, from this hotel beach in minutes"

Amazing
CCeonThis is a beautiful resort. It is a bit large and can take a bit of walking to get around especially if your room is not close to the main lobby. The resort itself is well maintained and up to date, however, the air conditioning in our room was not working as it should but the staff resolved this for us and offered us another room which was great. The breakfast for us was one of the highlights, we loved all the options. The sunsets in Khao Lak are amazing and this hotel sits right on the beach so it’s a wonderful experience watching the sunsets every evening. I would say that the hotel is a bit large and busy and with that you can loose the personal touch, for example we notified them that we were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary but no nice gestures for offered. The front staff are also a bit abrupt and seems to be occupied but again the hotel is busy so this is expected. Altogether we had a great time and would possibly visit again.

GGuest UserActually, I haven't expect anything much for hostel with the price of 200-300 Thai baht. Just sleep for one night with safe and clean room.
However, This hostel make me feel very comfortable like stay in my neighbor's house.
The room and bed is nice and clean. It is not luxurious but every stuff is prompt for guest like you are in your own home.
You can get hair dryer, drinking water, snack, microwave, bowl, glass, knife for share to every guest.
There is no staff in the hostel but you can contact owner or staff by phone. They are very kind and nice.
I saw a hostel staff ride a motorcycle come to hostel to refill drinking water in the tank in the night since a guest told owner that water is nearly empty.
There should be next time for sure to come back to this hostel. Very recommend.!

GGuest UserWe had a really nice stay at the hotel. The owner takes allot of pride in what she owns. All areas have been professionally built, there is a very small pool, but it was a perfect size for my 4yr old to practice his swimming without armbands. The breakfast was delicious. A random main was usually made consisting of eggs which I enjoyed. However my partner is vegan but still she loved the options of cereals, drinks, toast and fruit provided.
The location was close enough to walk to some locals shops but scooter rental was available.
We booked a similan trip through the host, which was a very competitive rate. Also on a evening there is a very close bar (around 5mins walk) called happy snapper. Live music, food, drinks, nice surroundings and good for children to play.

GGuest UserWe have just finished spending five nights at the Leaf on Sands and we absolutely loved it. We stayed with our two children in adjacent rooms and we were both lucky enough to have upstairs rooms overlooking the quiet pool. The breakfast were great and the location was fantastic with only a couple of minutes walk to the main strip. We can highly recommend the leaf on sands as a great family destination.

AAlexhoThis resort was excellent! I travelled here my girlfriend for the weekend and it exceeded all of expectations. The location is perfect right next to the beach, and the hospitality of the staff were unparralled. The breakfast was delicious with many options, and my room was very spacious, comfortable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone and I would love to come back again if we visit Khao Lak again.

RRogerZIf you want to go to Similan, this is the best choice. It is right on the roadside. The hotel is very bourgeois as a whole. Except for the previous review that the color of the closet + bathrobe in the room is a bit scary at night, we took off the bathrobe and put it in the drawer. Everything else is good overall. The swimming pool is sea water.

DDimadontstopWe booked this hotel for three nights, the ”Villa with Pool View” room. Upon check-in, we upgraded to an ocean wing, which is closer to the beach.
What I liked:
- location
- excellent breakfast, enough of everything
- quite a nice spacious villa with wooden furniture, normal internet, two showers (one of them outside) and a bath
- shower area is separated by a wardrobe, and not right in front of the windows - you can calmly change after a shower
- air conditioning worked well
- beautiful area, you can see that they clean
- enough sun loungers
- good TV, there is YouTube, you can connect HDMI
- great beach in front of the lighthouse
What I didn't like:
- lots of mosquitoes, had to ask several times to bring a fumigator
- service: took a long time to respond to a request for a fumigator, did not help with luggage upon checkout and did not really say goodbye
- no foot wash near the porch, you have to stomp to the shower with dirty feet
- no toothbrushes (further in the hotel rules it is written that toothbrushes are provided upon request, selling ”under the sauce” of care about ecology.)
Would we come back here again?
Probably yes, you just need to take mosquito repellent and toothbrushes with you :)

Pros: The hotel boasts a large, well-maintained area with a beautiful landscape design. It has everything: direct beach access, a picturesque stream, and even a lake. The rooms are very clean, modern, and truly meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Daily housekeeping ensures impeccable cleanliness. The charming bridges connecting different parts of the property add a special touch. Walking across them feels like being in untouched jungles. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, and there’s a cozy beachside café nearby where you can have lunch or dinner while enjoying the sea view. The resort’s territory is full of life: you’ll see many butterflies and even friendly monitor lizards wandering around, adding to the tropical paradise vibe.
Cons: Breakfasts could be more varied, especially in terms of fresh pastries.
Good to know: The nearest 7/11 or town café is about a 15-minute walk away (there’s a sidewalk). If you prefer not to walk, a taxi costs 100 baht.
The closest self-service laundry is a 15-minute drive away (400 baht).
Overall, Khaolak Wanaburee Resort is a perfect choice for those looking to relax in harmony with nature while enjoying comfort and quality service. Highly recommended!

RRolfieAvoid Seascape Rooms Entirely - Lighthouse Works (If Upstairs!)
Our initial ”Seascape” room was uninhabitable:** overpowering mould/must smell caused breathing difficulties (tight lungs) within 30 minutes. Combined with noisy transformers outside, we fled immediately.
Staff moved us *free* to their ”Lighthouse” hotel across the road. **Beware the ground floor:** our Lighthouse room had the same severe damp/mould issue. **After one awful night, we paid extra to upgrade to a 3rd-floor sea view room.**
**This saved the stay:** The upstairs Lighthouse room was fresh, clean, comfortable (great beds/linen) with lovely views. Free water on each floor was appreciated. We extended from 5 to 7 nights here.
**Serious Issues Remain:**
1. **Seascape Building:** Avoid entirely - severe mould makes it unfit.
2. **Lighthouse Ground Floor:** Same mould/damp problem. **Only higher floors are acceptable.**
3. **Pool:** Excess chlorine on Day 1 bleached my wife's black leggings brown. Check levels before swimming.
**Bottom Line:** Only stay if you can *guarantee* an **upstairs room in the Lighthouse**. Never accept any Seascape rooms or Lighthouse ground floor rooms. The hotel must fix pervasive mould issues.

DDiamondAlexMy family and I were delighted. The houses are very clean, and surprisingly there is not a single ant in the villa, it is a mystery to us how it is possible to keep the house so clean. Both pools are excellent. The location is a plus for us, it is far from the main street, there are no problems with a car or a bike, but outside the window there is peace and quiet. We ate our fill for breakfast, although there was not much variety, but there was always something tasty to eat. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, always trying to help. My daughter had a birthday on the day of departure, so they not only congratulated her at breakfast, but also brought such a delicious cake, sang a song and lit a candle. It was very nice, my daughter was delighted, did not want to leave. I am writing now from a 5-star hotel with a bunch of ants, although we live on the 3rd floor and I really miss this place, it was soulful and calm here. We will come on our next vacation!
