Mostly good.
Hotel transfer good, was waiting for us when we stepped out at the airport.
Breakfast very good, because many food items were rotated every morning, and all service staff were always ready to help out, food items were of good quality.
Room was big, bathroom huge, room cleaning good, and I was given a nice birthday surprise in the room.
Game activities were a little inadéquate, free bicycle usage was a bit short (1 hour). But all in all, quite good.
One item was not so good. A Thai Set Menu was advertised at the lobby, and we were looking forward to it. But each night when we stepped into the restaurant for 4 consecutive nights, we were told that the dinner option was not available, but the lobby advertisement made no mention of when it is available

Wer einen Erstklassigen Hotelurlaub möchte, ist hier richtig!
Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig, Kaffee, Tee und Wasser wird im Zimmer jeden Tag nachgefüllt. Sogar Föhn, Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen sind vorhanden, sowie die nötigen Badutensilien wie Zahnbürste, Rasierer, Wattestäbchen, etc.
Die Anlage ist wunderschön und alles ist super sauber. Der Pool ist herrlich und als Alternative ist das Meer und der Strand direkt nebenan. Es gibt ein Restaurant, Fitnessstudio und Massagen am Pool/Strand. Die Kinder sind im Kids Club mit wechselndem Angebot super versorgt und auch für die größeren gibt es Angebote. Alleine bleiben dürfen dort Kinder ab 4, ansonsten muss mindestens eine Aufsichtsperson dabei bleiben.
Das Frühstück lässt für niemanden Wünsche offen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und vor allem mit den Kindern wird viel gescherzt. Einziger Nachteil war für uns die Lage, fussläufig ist nur ein kleiner Supermarkt und ein Geldautomat im nächsten Hotel erreichbar.
Alternativen zum leckeren Hotelessen gibt es zwar fussläufig über den Strand, aber wer etwas Abwechslung liebt und auch etwas bummeln möchte abends, der sollte sich ein zentraleres Hotel suchen. Ansonsten gibt es gegen Gebühr Shuttlebusse auf den nächst gelegenen Markt und in die Stadt Khao lak, die etwa 30 Minuten dauert. Ein Grab kann man in dieser Region leider nicht buchen. Einen Ausflugscounter und einen Shuttlebus zum Flughafen gibt es auch, lässt sich jedoch direkt am Strand etwas kostengünstiger ebenso buchen.

Overall a fantastic holiday experience.
Rooms are nicely done up, clean and relaxing .
Staff are warm, welcoming, super helpful and friendly . Especially Nu who took great care of us . Great breakfast selection and super yummy.
Great setup at kids room which also catered to older kids with Pingpong table , ball machine, arcade games and other selection.
Staff at beach station were super helpful, all ready to help , SUP , boogie boards and kayaks available for use without charge. You really don’t have to go anywhere , just relax at the beautiful Sandy beach. Kids also played volleyball almost every evening with other guests .
Impressive fire show one night
We will definitely come back here .

1）訂的是海景房，給了個四樓，很難理解這可以叫海景房，陽台下半部分都是做實的，上半部分是泥土和種的草（其實就是大堂屋頂），可以想象嗎，你坐着的時候衹能看到一面牆，要多壓抑有多壓抑。站着的時候勉強透過草看到海，不説歧視不歧視，僅就事論事。
第二天換到六樓，完全不一樣體驗，可惜給我看到紙上寫了個update？？我請問呢，除了樓層，上下房型有區別嗎。。我定的時候就是為了看海把攜程和萬豪app都刷了下，海景房下一檔是pool，沒有比現在seaview高一檔的高級海景。
2）早餐補餐速度是跟不上的，想喝牛奶前後隔了十分鐘去看都沒來，米粉裏面吃的魚蛋是酸的，咖啡茶自取，桌上是沒有紙巾的（這個真的不理解），可能要説環保了吧，可是你説環保吧塑料袋那是隨便用的
3）洗澡水忽冷忽熱，基本不是恆温
4）入住期間突然發生信用卡一筆掛賬，還好出國鎖了無卡交易，去查半天也沒説清楚哪裡出的問題，金額還不小，倒也不是懷疑盜刷，只是真刷錯了再查再退相當麻煩
5）酒店在有草坪的地方防蚊沒有做好，一個是lido門口一個是看露天電影的草坪，都是蚊子，非常非常非常多，這在五星級海島酒店幾乎是沒有碰到過的
但不得不説，景色是相當不錯，非常能打，可以彌補許多許多，仍然是一次快樂的旅程

Doesn't provide toothbrush/toothpaste until you request, they also don't give you sufficient as I stayed there 3night, asked to buy my own toothpaste.
But location is good if you want to be by the beach else it's kinda far from everywhere, best to have your own transport if you plan to go out, altho there is PAID shuttle service to ban hiang.
But this place knows how to squeeze you it's pretty in nowhere. They have a convenience shop at hotel front which is pricey.
Cleanliness is ok, but considering old hotel, you get some dirty corners. And bed was tad hard, tv limited channels.

Amazing place for families, but I guess it is also suitable for couples as the resort is well designed and has many different areas to relax. We found that everything was great and of good quality/ service during our trip. The staff is always helpful and kind.
There are plenty to do for kids at the main pool, the aqua zone or the beach. Kids club was convenient too for occasional rains.
The only comment we could have is that the check-in was too long. People usually come from far so it needs to be more effective.

Bilik itu sangat luas dengan balkoni yang menghadap ke jalan.
Memandangkan terdapat pasar 200m dari hotel dengan pentas besar yang bermula dari 5 petang hingga 11 malam, ia adalah sedikit lebih kuat pada waktu malam (anda boleh mendengar bass dengan mudah). Anda tidak dapat mendengar jalan sama sekali dengan pintu tertutup (penyaman udara berfungsi dengan baik).
Bilik mandi dilengkapi dengan syampu pancuran mandian separuh terbuka.
Anda mendapat air dan tuala segar setiap hari.

跟着團購套餐來的，體驗很棒。
位置位於考拉海灘，適合準備去斯米蘭玩的朋友，但要是想去玩普吉鎮和三大海灘就特別不方便。距離機場要開一個小時，我們是租車來的，路上不擁堵。附近沒有大的商場，可以考慮去周邊做做massage。
服務很好，入住的時候，會主動來你身邊坐下辦理手續，其他時候見面也都會主動打招呼。酒店入住的歐美人居多，沒有歧視現象。
酒店房間很新，但不是特別大，陽台泳池很乾凈。套餐裏是海邊泳池房，所以衹能看到部分海景，會有外面房子遮擋。
早餐很豐富很好吃，套餐送的晚餐很驚艷，前菜+主菜+甜點很好吃，感覺廚師很用心。
海灘上很大也有礁石，可以撿貝殼玩，但感覺不如邁考海灘乾淨。

PPaul_HKBeautiful location and hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. On the surface the rooms look good but they are a bit dated with some impractical features and water was dripping from the AC vent. The toilet is semi private which is a bit strange - it sort of connects with the shower area which is not ideal when you are with your partner. Also there are no wardrobe doors even though the shower area is right next to it.
The staff are generally nice and friendly but service is very average for a hotel of this nature compared to other boutique hotels, with staff constantly forgetting things from food or drinks orders at the restaurant.
Flexibility of breakfast was fantastic though and in general the food was excellent. Encountered some issues with room service on our first evening which were resolved promptly the following day.
End of stay was disappointing - we appreciated the hotel were able to extend our check-out by 2 hours to 2pm (and able to use a shower room to get changed later in the day), but they made it abundantly clear that if we wanted the room to 7pm then we would have to pay for another half-day occupancy even though the hotel was definitely not full. If the hotel was at full capacity, we would have completely understood the situation. It all felt a bit ‘budget’ from a 5 star hotel.
To make matters worse, during a rainy and cool afternoon, we ended up killing time on sun-beds on the beach before we could use the their shower room. The bizarre thing was that the shower room turned out to be a different guest room identical to the one we had been staying in. Surely it would have been easier to let us stay in our original room for a few extra hours, it would also have saved the hotel from having to clean two rooms.
Given that we had arrived very late on the first night, it was not like we were trying to take advantage of them and maximise our stay - we were just killing time ahead of our evening flight. It was all quite a weird end and so not sure we’d go back or recommend this hotel even though the setting is incredibly beautiful.
There is a lot of communication provided about the ethos of excellent hospitality while staying in the hotel. This specific action and policy seemed in opposition to these communicated values.

JJeanette VictorLa Flora was the 11th Hotel I stayed at since I left Taiwan on the 23rd July, 2023. And, I absolutely loved it! Our family enjoyed a lovely dinner while the sun was setting. It was wonderful to sit at the beach and have breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was great! We also enjoyed the pools a lot. La Flora is great for families. NB The highlight for me was the 2 Man Band! They just made my evening very special.

PPengguna TetamuActually, I haven't expect anything much for hostel with the price of 200-300 Thai baht. Just sleep for one night with safe and clean room.
However, This hostel make me feel very comfortable like stay in my neighbor's house.
The room and bed is nice and clean. It is not luxurious but every stuff is prompt for guest like you are in your own home.
You can get hair dryer, drinking water, snack, microwave, bowl, glass, knife for share to every guest.
There is no staff in the hostel but you can contact owner or staff by phone. They are very kind and nice.
I saw a hostel staff ride a motorcycle come to hostel to refill drinking water in the tank in the night since a guest told owner that water is nearly empty.
There should be next time for sure to come back to this hostel. Very recommend.!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gahn Khao Lak and overall, it was a delightful experience. Here are the pros and cons of my stay:
Pros:
1) Hotel Gahn Khao Lak is located in a prime spot, just a short distance away from the main tourist area. This allows for a peaceful and tranquil stay while still being conveniently close to all the attractions.
2) The hotel itself is a beautiful boutique establishment, with a charming ambiance. From the moment you step into the entrance lobby, you are greeted with antique decorations that add a touch of elegance to the surroundings.
3) One of the highlights of this hotel is the Michelin 2022 and 2023 chef who prepares authentic Nonya cuisines. This is a culinary experience not to be missed, and the restaurant is sure to leave your taste buds satisfied.
4) The hotel is surrounded by many amenities and local food options within walking distance. This makes it convenient for guests to explore and indulge in the local flavors.
5) The breakfast at Hotel Gahn Khao Lak is simple yet delicious. It offers a variety of options to suit different preferences, and it's a great way to start your day on a positive note.
6) On a hot day, the hotel's refreshing little pool is a fantastic spot to take a dip and cool off. It provides a relaxing oasis where you can unwind and enjoy the tropical surroundings.
7) The owner and staff of the hotel are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay and are always ready to assist with any queries or requests.
Cons:
1) One issue I encountered during my stay was the presence of lizards and flying pests, especially in rooms with balconies. While this may be a common occurrence in tropical settings, it can be unsettling for some guests.
2) The housekeeping service could use some improvement, particularly in terms of towel change and cleaning of used cups. It would be beneficial if these aspects were given more attention to enhance the overall cleanliness of the rooms.
Rating: 8.5/10
In conclusion, Hotel Gahn Khao Lak offers a memorable stay with its good location, beautiful ambiance, authentic cuisine, and friendly staff. While there are a few areas that could be improved upon, the overall experience is highly enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and charming getaway in Khao Lak.

Pang on reception was a really helpful and smiley Young lady, I also liked the Chef who cooked the eggs I called him ”The Happy Chef” as he was always smiling 😊 Great value for money 10 out of 10.

PPengguna TetamuThe accommodation was excellent, the pool-access room was perfectly designed and maintained and offered an excellent experience during the hot weather. The hotel is perfectly and conveniently located, a short walk to the streets where good restaurants and shops are located. It was a lovely leisure stay. Perhaps the resort could work on bettering customer service, as we were rarely greeted or acknowledged (although my husband and I did) whenever we entered or exited the restaurants (Malila, Cocos) for the whole 7 days. We had to physically approach them in order to get service like ordering food or drinks.

Pros: The hotel boasts a large, well-maintained area with a beautiful landscape design. It has everything: direct beach access, a picturesque stream, and even a lake. The rooms are very clean, modern, and truly meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Daily housekeeping ensures impeccable cleanliness. The charming bridges connecting different parts of the property add a special touch. Walking across them feels like being in untouched jungles. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, and there’s a cozy beachside café nearby where you can have lunch or dinner while enjoying the sea view. The resort’s territory is full of life: you’ll see many butterflies and even friendly monitor lizards wandering around, adding to the tropical paradise vibe.
Cons: Breakfasts could be more varied, especially in terms of fresh pastries.
Good to know: The nearest 7/11 or town café is about a 15-minute walk away (there’s a sidewalk). If you prefer not to walk, a taxi costs 100 baht.
The closest self-service laundry is a 15-minute drive away (400 baht).
Overall, Khaolak Wanaburee Resort is a perfect choice for those looking to relax in harmony with nature while enjoying comfort and quality service. Highly recommended!

PPlum31Our stay at Robinson the was great. It was the end of our trip with two sets of parents, and the perfect place to wind down and relax on a beautiful beach. The staff was excellent and made us feel immediately welcomed.
The biggest positives in our view: Staff, cleanliness, immaculate grounds, breakfast, gym/basketball/sports courts, and the great beach.
What could be improved upon: the a la carte menu at the Bamboo bar was lacking in Thai options, as well as general quality. We ordered 7 dishes, and only the samosas and fish and chips were of decent quality compared to other food on our trip. This was in stark contrast to their breakfast and dinner buffets, which were both pretty good.
Neutral: The location. While the resort has everything you'd need, they are fairly out of the way of everything. This offers a more private and quiet feel, but also means options are lacking, such as finding good Thai food or doing any light shopping or stocking up on drinking water at a sane price.
- If you walk south on the beach (through a fun rocky area when tide isn't too high), you'll find some good restaurants, such as Thai Beach restaurant. Their food was among the best we'd had on our trip. The massaman curry was fantastic.
Overall: Lovely stay, and would come back again for a few days!

The breakfast offered was delicious, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable.
A great perk is the scooter rental service available, which is ideal given the location, though it's a bit pricier than what you'd find in town. However, considering the convenience, it was well worth the extra cost.
The pool was lovely, providing a nice spot to unwind. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was practically unusable, and mobile data didn’t work unless you bought an AIS SIM card, which could be an inconvenience for those relying on connectivity.
Overall, it’s a great place to stay if you value a quiet, relaxed environment, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere, just be prepared for the additional cost and Wi-Fi limitations.
