Hotel berhampiran Banter by Piercing Pagoda, Tallahassee

Polite customer service. The rooms and small but look like they were decorated for an upscale elementary school(see photo). The rooms were clean but the hardwood floors made it easy to track dirt and grime. It’s the first hotel I’ve been to where there wasn’t enough pillows or towels in the rooms. Bathroom was very clean. We were by the elevator but had no noise problems. When you walk in. It feels like an upbeat holiday inn. Based on the animals we saw in the lobby it is pet friendly. Check out time is 11 and they have a breakfast like a holiday inn express does. It wasn’t bad a experience but I probably won’t stay here again. Very thin bedsheets and the bed was very firms. Bath towels were thin. Housekeeping was very nice. There’s no pool but there is a pool table in the lobby. There were no bugs and no weird stains.

My reservation was booked as a part of a group and I did not get the room type I requested. I arrived in the middle of the night and Jonathan was super-friendly and instrumental in contacting the manager aboutmy concerns. This meant alot to me because his assistance was not required, as the room selection oversight was not due to any error by the hotel. He was pretty hopeful things would work out in my favor as he was going to leave a very detailed message for the manager. I was requesting a room change during a very busy/sold out weekend. The next morning before I could wake-up good, Charlene called to further assist with the change....and when she called she even offered me a selection with the room types. This type of customer service and attentiveness made me feel special and appreciated as a Hilton Rewards Member. It made for a great trip! Special thanks also to Manager Ashley who approved and finalized my move. Every staff member I encountered during my stay was extremely polite and had a willingness to make our stay pleasant. And the breakfast was very tasty and fulfilling. I definitely plan on staying at this hotel again. :)

We stayed here after visiting FSU for a tour. The hotel lobby is updated and welcoming. Check in was smooth but we weren’t offered our normal bottles of water at check in. When I went back to the front desk, the guy there gave it to us and said, “Oh you wanted some?”….uhhhhhh yeah! Anyway, other than that everything else was good. Pool area is nice and clean. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was the average Hampton Inn breakfast. Loved that they had birthday cake batter as a waffle choice. The trash cans were horrible and you had to touch them to put trash in. Who wants to have to touch a dirty trash can anytime let alone before you eat or right after. They only had one open top trash in the breakfast area the rest were push open. They did have hand sanitizer on the wall but still. They need to have all open top trash cans for people to toss their food in. I must add how impressed I was with the breakfast crew not rushing to close up breakfast at 9:59 am! Most places I’ve stayed, they’re impatiently waiting to lock up. I sat there until about 10:15 (supposed to close at 10:00) it was still open. Parking was ample, check out too 5 seconds so no complaints there. Overall good stay and I will stay again if my daughter goes to FSU.

We think this is the best hotel in Tallahassee. Super clean, updated, friendly and safe. Everyone we encountered was so welcoming and actually takes pride in the hotel. We only stay here now when we come to Tally and recommend it. Very good room darkening shades, plenty of outlets and usb plugs next to beds and integrated into sofa. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. 10/10.

We have stayed many times at this hotel, and this is the first time I have rated it anything below a 5. It is in the perfect location for us driving in from Louisiana to stop before getting to our beach or Orlando Vacation destination the next day. It is a beautiful hotel right off I-10. I highly recommend this hotel to others when they are making the drive in. We also stay here when our university plays FSU in Tallahassee. It is away from the noise, and is an easy drive to campus. The check-in was fabulous as always with very nice desk staff getting us into our room in a matter of 5 minutes. I visited with the desk staff a little later when nobody was around. They were polite, with the young man who is working on his degree at FSU telling me a little about his future plans, and a little about FSU. The room was and easy 5 out of 5 as always. Super comfortable beds. It was ice cold on this very hot summer day which is a plus. This room is as nice as any room. It is not highly decorated, but highly decorated is not our style. SUPER CLEAN and SUPER COMFORTABLE. The 4 out of 5 is for two reasons, I had a major sugar crash. I wear a glucose monitor and my sugar was at 42 when I went down stairs to ask for some orange juice. This is how I make my sugar go up in a controlled manner (a little at a time). The young lady at the desk didn't know how to turn on the machine that dispenses OJ, and there was no juice to buy in the ”Hotel Pantry”. Knowing how to do this would help people like me when the sugar drops. I couldn't drive at 42 and dropping because I might have run into someone. She gave me some Hi C which was like drinking sugar syrup. This morning I awoke with a sugar level well over 200. The breakfast was a total fail. The waffles were not cooking all the way through in 3 minutes, The juice machine didn't work, the eggs and sausage were cold, so we are going out for breakfast. In the past this was never the case for breakfast here. I rate the breakfast as a total fail. Overall, I wanted to rate it 5, but that would not have been honest for this stay. I will be back here again in the future. I'm sure the things that were wrong on this stay will be fixed in the future.
